My Mum had recently moved in with me whilst we found her a suitable apartment. Usually my brother and I do all the packing, moving and hiring a van etc, however, on this occasion he couldn’t help out following a recent hernia operation so I had to arrange for a van with 2 men to help out. Shelley was very helpful and fortunately they had a space on Saturday 20/03. On the day 3 guys appeared which was brilliant and they got the job done in 2 hours. All 3 were friendly but professional and we were really pleased with their service. I would recommend them for any house move in future 😁

I had a shocking experience with this company and was let down at the 11th hour, with no empathy or understanding of the situation they left me in. I spoke to a Shelley and booked in a date for my house move. I explained I was a single mum moving on my own and that I needed a reliable company. She assured me they were, we agreed the move date and arranged for them come out one week prior to check how much needed moving and what size vehicle I would need. On the day, two hours before they were due, I received a generic text message letting me know they would not be make it and they were now booked up until April!
I called them fraught as I was a week from the move date we had agreed. I had a really unapologetic response and was told they are a very busy company and that their verbal assurance of my booking wasnt valid despite them categorically confirming this at the time. I also explained that had they asked me to pay a deposit, I would have, but this was not discussed at the time of booking. All it would have taken was a phonecall to say they had a confirmed booking for the same day and would I still be going ahead or not. Shocking customer service just a horrible stressful experience. They must work on provisional dates all the time so when people exchange and these are confirmed it is basic customer service to call the person who has booked before booking in another job. Their attitude and complete lack of empathy for the situation they put me in shows the calibre and integrity of this company. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

Lee, Tony and Danny from Gibbs made a great job at making our move easy and stress free. They arrived on time, professionally dressed and friendly. They had our items removed from the house quickly and efficiently and packed in the vans like a game of Tetris! Nothing was a problem and they did it all with good humour. Unloading was swift too....all our furniture (and many, many boxes) were in our new house in no time and in the rooms we wanted them to be in - even the heavy items going to the third story!
Shelley in the office was also great, always quick to answer my emails if I had any questions.
I don’t intend on moving again for a very long time but wouldn’t hesitate to use Gibbs again.

Our experience with Gibbs Removals was excellent. Anthony and Dan were hard working and made moving day so much easier and less stressful. Nothing was too much trouble and both were easy to get on with and hard working. Would happily recommend them to others and use them again.

A professional reliable removal company. First time on a house move we have ever used a professional removal company and it made the whole upheaval of moving day a whole lot easier than trying to do it all yourself. All staff on the day were professional and polite, nothing was too much trouble, they efficiently emptied our old home and moved us into our home when we eventually got the key.

These guys were friendly yet professional and made the whole process look effortless! We had problems in the chain that meant after emptying our house on Friday, completion didn't happen until Monday. However, they were there for us; staying late, putting the house contents into storage and making sure we had everything we needed. They helped us through a very stressful situation with professionalism and care. Thank you to Robbie and the team.

Robbie and his team did a fantastic job moving my family and I this Christmas time. No job was too big or too small and everyone got stuck in keeping us informed throughout the day of their plans. They worked really hard all day which was a very long day and they were all good fun and made what was a very stressful experience fun even though they did take the ***** out of my Lego collection! Would highly recommend.

Excellent service! Hassle free including dealing with Shelley in office. I used Gibbs to move. Friendly and professional team. Gibbs kept my belongings in storage for a few months and this was also very good value. They moved me in to my new home aswell and again the team were spot on. Highly recommended! Cheers Gibbs

With it coming up to Christmas we were starting to get stressed about moving before the holidays. Our house sale was challenging, but Gibbs removal were fantastic. They understood our situation and provided constant communication on what our options were. Even when we delayed our completion date they completely understood and gave us options (which giving the time of year was fantastic).

When it came to actually moving, they were brilliant. Very professional, on time and careful with our possessions. Not only did they get stuck in and start quickly on the removal, they did it with a smile on their face. Based on the stress of the days before, completing the sale and packing we were both extremely grateful for this. It made the day a lot more enjoyable and stress free.

If you are thinking about moving I would thoroughly recommend Gibbs removal.

This removal company did everything we asked of them . Dan was there for the 2 days .. moved us out and moved us in about 125 miles away .. we had a good service and almost stress free .. all the team we had both days were friendly , professional , and didn’t shy away from our requests . Thank you Shelley and Robbie for such a wonderful team and our moving experience. 😘

Ricky, Lee and Daniel did an absolutely brilliant job of moving us from a 3 story to another 3 story. They were professional and efficient throughout, took care with our belongings and new property. Never moaned about the long wait for our keys. They worked ridiculously hard and did an excellent job, would highly recommend for any move.

Firstly I was mislead about the quote as I presumed that I had paid for dismantling, removals, storage and redelivery. They charged me again for assembling three items - 2 beds and a wardrobe and for redelivery. The reassembling was done very shoddily - my wardrobe has the rail missing, a hole at the back and the back panels are shaking. My bed has a bolt missing and when I brought it to their attention, they said nothing will happen. I am dreading if it will give way soon. The front door of my refrigerator has been scratched and the paint has come off making it look unsightly. My 4feet steel pedal bin has not been delivered with the rest of my items. I have complained and they have said they will send someone around. Not sure when they will !!! I could have easily given away my items to charity and bought new ones for the cost I had paid to Gibbs Removals.

Allow me to begin...
- I was given 8 weeks to find a new place to move to and when I did...
- Google, Alexa, Siri, Cortana, etc - all listened to this from my calls and e-mails and then...
- I saw a Instagram advert for Gibbs Removal...
- I sent an email enquiring to see if they could fit me in to move my belongings within 2 weeks...
- Shelly was badass at e-mailing me back with answers to my questions...
- I then called Shelley to book in the date and time...
- She sent me an e-mail confirming the booking with number of people and van type...
- I also purchased ‘moving boxes’; very large and sturdy to hold/move and only £1 per box! which were delivered 1 week before moving day...
- It’s moving day...
- Tony & Dan called and arrived 15 minutes earlier than booked to ensure I was ready and for them to prep...
- They obviously played Tetris as ‘youts’ as they managed to fit everything in, in 1 go; securely, surprisingly, efficiently...
- They managed to manoeuvre the most awkward furniture into a 1st floor flat using their “muscle”...
- Randomly, it was great to chat to them both to know they like mountaineering and camping in the Italy.
- As a additional surprise - they even arranged plant pots in a fashion even Alan Titchmarsh could be proud of, outside of the flat entrance.

So. Overall, ‘not bad’.
Would highly recommend.

What an outstanding company! Recommend to absolutely everyone. From start to finish Gibbs made moving completely hassle free and fun. Shelly has the best possible customer service, a true delight to deal with. Gibbs managed to fit us in at short notice after being let down by another company and I can’t tell you how pleased I am we had them to execute our move. The chaps were totally reliable, like clockwork, extremely careful and quick packing. Took out all the stress with this professional and funny personalities. They allowed plenty of time for us to clean our own home by packing up early on the day and patiently waited despite a delay on the day with chain solicitors. Gibbs didn’t get finished up until 7pm and despite the long day, their work ethic, attention to detail, friendliness, sense of humour and care did not waiver. Absolute legends!! Please use Gibbs, you will not be disappointed. Special mention to our team led by super star Robbie, Tony, Lee, Ricky and Dan. Superb guys.

Shelly, Tony and Dan were professional and friendly. They did a wonderful job of helping my friend's 89 year old mum move. They arrived on time to box all her personal belongings. On arrival to her new home they made sure all the boxes were placed in the appropriate rooms and she was ok. Thank you very much for doing such a good job in a very caring manner. I would recommend you to anyone wanting to move.

When I was having some renovations done I put some of my furniture in storage with Gibbs Removals.
They were professional, took good care of my furniture and were very helpful.

I moved a few weeks ago it’s taken me a while to unpack so sat with a cuppa and thought I would write about my experience with Gibbs removals.
Firstly thank you for your patience as my move did take over 13 months not the move itself but the time it took for my house sale to complete due to the recent pandemic that’s shook the world.
Getting back to my removal
What an amazing bunch of lads not once did they complain even with the hudge amount of stuff I had , lot of it was quite heavy furniture but took it all in there stride
Sorry lads didn’t make you as many cups of tea as you would of liked
And I will make you some of them flapjacks I promised and pop them in for you.
It was a tuff moving day
But the Gibbs lads where great
I would highly recommend.

Quote was not correct. They complained they needed more vans and men. They moaned about the length of time it took. Refused to remove everything and held the van until we gave them more money. Beware.

I cannot recommend Gibbs highly enough!! The two guys were really friendly down to earth and made the whole experience so much more enjoyable. They were more than reasonably priced for the service I received and I would 110% use them again!! It took all the the stress and hard work you would normally experience on a move day away. Thanks so much guys!!
