Giftpro is a company that may pride…

Giftpro is a company that may pride itself on sharing good will whilst processing gift vouchers for their clients.

Unfortunately I did not receive any good will when I was recently employed as bank staff.

The senior of the department was unjustifiably hostile towards me and terminated my employment in an extremely unprofessional manner.

Her assessment of my performance was totally unfair and I was given no opportunity to respond to her accusations.

Obviously there were no employment procedures in place for bank staff which left me feeling totally victimized.

Scam

My parents purchased a £100 voucher for us less than 2 months ago for a dinner at the Talking Drum (610 Old Kent Road).

When we showed up last night after making a booking however, we discovered that the restaurant had closed down permanently.

I contacted Giftpro the following day by email and phone and discovered that they do not offer any exchange or refund in this situation.

Payments are processed by a 3rd party and the contract you enter by purchasing a voucher on Giftpro's platform is between yourself and the restaurant. In other words, there is nothing Giftpro can do to guarantee my parents will get their money back.

EDIT: After posting this review I received a call from Giftpro's director. He explained to me that the Talking Drum intended to issue refunds to customers that had bought their vouchers. Alternatively, he suggested my parents raise a payment dispute with their bank.

I'll update this review accordingly once/if my parents receive the refund.

EDIT #2: Refund never manifested. Don't waste your money on them.
