Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Evaluating 42 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many people experienced frustrating issues with faulty hardware, including broken components, crashing systems, and failing motherboards shortly after initial purchase. Consumers frequently noted that customer service was entirely unhelpful, unresponsive, and extremely difficult to reach when trying to resolve issues. Additionally, buyers expressed deep dissatisfaction because warranties were rarely honored for severely damaged items. Though some customers encountered major hurdles, a small group of people were satisfied with their purchase overall. These individuals found specific hardware components to be exceptionally stable, durable, and dependable over long periods of use.

I have a 2019 Gigabyte Aero 15" laptop

I have a 2019 Gigabyte Aero 15" laptop. It has the best of everything and cost $4,000. Customer tech support is garbage. Generally, the computer works fine, but it won't connect to public wi-fi nor my mobile hotspot. Also, the icon on the desktop that is a pathway to a control center disappeared, and there is no way to trace it of which I am aware. It kept disappearing and reappearing but finally disappeared altogether. Also, I was never able to back up my computer based on how the owners manual said to do it. Again, ZERO technical/customer support.

My $1000 Graphics Brick

I always had difficulties with my Gigabyte Rx6800XT. The fans always ran even outside of games, and the least graphics intensive game made it run full speed. After about 15 months, the card ceased outputting anything. We verified the cards death by trying another monitor and swapping in two separate graphics cards (one a new Rx6800XT). The system ran normally with the swapped in configurations. RMA’d the card to Gigabyte and they just sent it back claiming that it checked out. At the least, I should have been contacted to troubleshoot the reason why it might be completely dead in my system, but no one contacted me before shipping it back. Buyer be warned!

Horrendous experience! 3 Failed repairs!

Horrendous experience, $1300 graphics card repaired 3 times in 3 years to ultimately not work and refuse repair after the warranty had just been lapsed. Don't expect a replacement for a faulty item with this company! AVOID!

It seems every component I have…

It seems every component I have purchased that is GB has had major problems. The power supply I bought exploded and caught fire, the motherboard which was supposed to be Windows 11 ready you could not engage secure boot. I also purchased a gigabyte 3060ti which was DOA upon arrival. Fortunately I purchased it from Amazon and had no problem returning it and they sent me another card which also had problems. After contacting them on May 6th bye telephone they returned the call on May 11th what great service. Let this be a warning stay away from their junk and expect no help when having technical problems with their product

I have just bought the 3080 TI Aorus…

I have just bought the 3080 TI Aorus Master, these people and that's a strong name for them as they don't deserve it sell this card for £1300. their software to control the lights and the LCD screen is a joke. even the motherboard overclocks the CPU voltage which they don't even bother to fix.
This is the worst pc company i have ever dealt with and i for one will be telling every single person that askes me about pc parts. stuff gigabyte.

4 months and counting for RMA service

We have been waiting since December 2021 for a graphics card to be repaired/replaced/returned. Customer service has sent us in circles avoiding any real solutions to to the issue. Multiple emails and phone calls have been made with them making promises but NOTHING has been done. The number of reviews here are shocking. It is clear they simply do not care to make things right. Sent my original receipt from Newegg and now
I'm hoping they will give a refund. Do not buy Gigabyte products!!!!

Gigabyte's Terrible customer Service

My Gigabyte Aero 15 OLED KD laptop and it's gone off without warning and has refused to come back on. I've sent their online support messages over 20 days ago with no reply. This is a $2,000 laptop that I've been using for just 5 months and I've had so many software and hardware issues from the first day I got it. I'm very disappointed in the quality of Gigabyte products especially for a first time customer experience and I don't think I'll ever buy another gigabyte product ever again.

Gigabyte staff and support are completely incompetent

After many attempts to get adequate answers by the Gigabyte support staff, I have never gotten such, so I told them the truth about what I think about them and now they told me that I've been blocked. Their staff is completely and totally incompetent, they sell extremely overpriced computer parts and when a problem comes up they choose not to respond to it adequately or at all. DO NOT BUY Gigabyte hardware, because if you have a problem with anything, you won't get any help from them.

Bad thermal paste?

After having not one, but two, Gigabyte branded graphics cards having thermal paste related issues - you can't help but wonder what terrible manufacturing process (or thermal paste brand) they're using.

What's worse is that their RMA policy will not cover you if you've repasted the chip yourself.

Worst Tech on the Planet

Motherboard died 10 months after purchase. Took 3 days to get response from tech support, who's only response was "send it in for repair". Took another 4 days to get an RMA to even send it in. Motherboard has been sitting in for repair for 4 weeks now. They never respond to emails, nobody answers the phone. This company should not be selling anything to the public. Horrible company selling horrible products.

Very poor attitude from RMA administrator

This is my recent experience with Gigabyte RMA admin, read from the bottom up ^

All I was asking for was a replacement PCIE retention clip as the one on my Z690 Master snapped on first use!

Despite spending £500 on the board (I also have gigabyte RTX3070ti and M32U Monitor), they wouldn't send me a 10p clip without an SAE?? Who outside a business posts anything nowadays?! So I had to buy a book of stamps and a pack of envelopes, cost to me £8.10 for a 10p clip??!

The 'helpful' admin suggested curtly, that I RMA the board if I didnt like the SAE idea? What terrible customer service for such a premium product.

Hello,

We await the SAE so the clip can be sent to you.

All your e mails have been forwarded to our HQ in Taiwan for their comments and we await their response.

Hello,

Not sure what your point is? It does not matter to me one bit, what your ‘other customers’ do and how can you possibly know that they do not have a problem with you requiring an SAE?

My point was, I spent over £500 on a Gigabyte board, a component on it failed under normal use and when it was only 2 months old. I find it strange that Gigabyte under that circumstance, required me to spend more money and time so that you can put this situation right when the alternative was a costly RMA.

Your attitude honestly is appalling, it’s not a problem ‘for you’ if I return the board for RMA? I wonder if your manager would have the same sentiment? Or perhaps someone at executive level at Gigabyte? I am sure they would take a dim view of your comments here. If I RMA the board, it would be a problem ‘for me’, the customer, It would also be costly for Gigabyte. No one really cares if it’s a problem ‘for you’ or not, so your comment was rude, unhelpful and irrelevant.

I have sent the SAE, if you want to continue discourse with me, I suggest you change your attitude to one that is more representative of Gigabyte, your employer, who I am sure, intend that you represent them in a more customer friendly manner.

Sincerely

Hello,

No other customer to date has any issue when they request any spare parts direct such as a i/o shield, cables or other spares when requested for and they gladly send the requested SAE normally by recorded post which is then a guaranteed delivery service back to them.

If you wish to RMA the whole item instead, you can do this via the dealer if less than 12 months old as most customers do, or direct.

Gigabyte have over 15 Global RMA centres worldwide to fix goods when they are faulty for customers as this is what this part of the service is for and it is not a inconvenience to us if you wish to send the item in for repair either direct or indirect and we are happy to receive the item.

To send in direct, please forward scanned copy of proof of purchase. To send in indirectly, please contact the dealer for their respective returns procedure.

Regards

Can I not just send the money?

Honestly, I spent £500 on a motherboard with a defective clip- and you want an SAE? That is poor customer service at best.

Please note, you are not doing me a favour, I am doing you a favour by not RMA’ing the board, which I have a right to do.

Hello,

Please forward SAE envelope to the below address and a clip will be sent.

Please include a copy of this part of the e mail when sending the SAE..

Hello,

I contacted Gigabyte International CS and they have directed me to you.

I recently purchased a Gigabyte Z690 Aorus Master Motherboard and upon un-plugging my Gigabyte Aorus Master RTX3070ti, the plastic retention clip snapped. There was no force other than pressing down on the clip, which is part of its design.

My question to CS was, how can I get a replacement clip please? I do not want to RMA the board as it is in my system

ONE OF THE WORST COMPANIES EVER

ONE OF THE WORST COMPANIES EVER! I was unfortunate enough to purchase a WHORus 7 kb laptop, without knowing what the name represented. When I found out it was a reference to ancient Egyptian god which the illuminati worship, I contacted them via esupport asking to replace it with a different model, they said NO. OK, I have decided to use it with removing logos with acetone. The only problem left is bios - still trying to figure out how to reflash it to original insyde bios for clevo NH77DCQ (which this laptop really is). They won't help me with that either. OK, I have several other issues (battery died after less than 1 month of usage) which I am trying to get warranty resolved - they take 7 days to respond with scripted answers on their shi tty esupport site. They have only 3 numbers 1 german, 1 usa and 1 taiwan. No other number in any other country including mine in Russia. NO EMAIL ADDRESSES. German douchebag says call taiwan (there's only 1 guy working there lol), usa never pick up the call and taiwan keeps putting me on hold forever right after hearing me say HELLO SHITABYTE. That is it - no warranty no service no nothing. CHENG PEY YEH - SHITABYTE CEO is an illuminati satanic WHOREus. NEVER BUY FROM THIS COMPANY - YOU WILL NOT GET CUSTOMER SUPPORT OR WARRANTY!!!
