Fast and Affordable

I switched to GigaComm Internet recently and, despite some initial connection issues, it's been great! Their support team was super helpful and kept me updated, and now the connection is rock-solid.

The speed is a huge step up from NBN, and it's similarly priced. GigaComm has made streaming, downloading, and working online a breeze.

For a speedy, reliable, and wallet-friendly internet provider, I'd definitely recommend GigaComm! Their service and support are top-notch.

Awesome independent private provider

Awesome independent private provider. From applying to installation, amazing service. Application was easy to navigate and fill out. MDF access for OTD appt was sorted by giga rather than u having to organise like NBN connections. Installation was fantastic with giga tech coming back the day after to ensure existing wiring issues were resolved. Now getting over 900 down and 100 up. Highly recommend.

Signing up and Installation was great…

Signing up and Installation was great and straight forward, with the installer attending at the agreed date & time, listened to my queries around connectivity and assisted in addressing these, together with ensuring everything was connected and functioning correctly prior to leaving my home

Great value, rock solid once (finally) connected

Connecting the building took a lot longer than expected and a lot of back and forth, but once it was connected installation was quick and the service has been rock solid so far. Great value, but would be good if the 400/50 plan was priced a bit cheaper.

Fast, great internet, with good customer service

Have been with Gigacomm for 1 and a half years, and the service has been consistently good. In-game ping is in the single digits, and speeds are close to the advertised speeds, with minimal variation.

There have been small instances where there has been a drop in service after major weather events, but compared to other ISPs, the customer service team are very responsive and get onto fixing things very quickly, even happy to share the technical background when requested. If you live in a building where it's available, I would highly recommend signing up, especially with the price on the 200 plan being significantly lower than what you get with 100 on NBN.

We live in a concrete apartment

We live in a concrete apartment.
The NetComm router won’t transmit wifi more than 5meters.
We have purchased a larger router which should give us more range from the router/modem.
Stay tuned!
GigaComm did refund our original router. We like their service.

Well worth the wait

Had a few hiccups with getting our building connected, but once connected it's been smooth sailing. I don't think I ever want to go back to NBN speeds ever again.

We play a fair amount of online games in our house (Call of Duty, Overwatch, Apex). The ping is around 20ms less than our old NBN connection.

I also use the connection for transferring large files to and from work, the 50Mbit upload speed is fantastic for this. Zoom/Teams meetings are clear and I no longer have people complaining about my video freezing.

One thing to note is that you need to use a fairly new router to get the full speeds they offer, especially if you choose the gigabit speed plans.

The best internet provider out there

I made the case with our building manager to get GigaComm installed in our block and it was the best decision ever. Lightning-fast internet speeds which really helped with being able to work from home, plus great service too! How many other internet providers pick up the phone after just one ring?! I would absolutely recommend GigaComm to anyone.

Consistent, fast and reliable...so far

After a couple of initial install and activation hiccups that were fixed really quickly and a fast response from the team.

So far I have not experienced any drop outs that I know of. The speed and reliability is great. Long may it continue.

GigaComm dropped a flyer in our mailbox…

GigaComm dropped a flyer in our mailbox one day claiming to be able to offer gigabit speeds in our apartment complex near Sydney CBD. As a strata committee member, I understood they did this through the use of a 5G receiver on the roof, with new fibre cable runs down the risers, and only using the building's legacy copper wiring for the last mile essentially from the risers (near the lifts) to your individual unit. Given my existing Telstra NBN 100 plan topped out at circa 75Mbps in practice, I was skeptical to say the least as I knew the copper wiring down to the MDF was clearly a bottleneck.

I spent a lot of time with the team at GigaComm and their installation team to understand what they were doing, and the team were very helpful and supportive with getting the strata committee onboard. There was only one hiccup with one of GigaComm's subcontractors and their timeliness/communications with building management (granted, during the lockdowns and pandemic) but otherwise it was a good experience and I appreciated how much time their team spent visiting us on site, checking out potential installation locations, providing lots of diagrams and installation plans, etc.

From an end user/customer perspective, everyone from GigaComm has been great. Installation went smoothly and on time once it was locked in (note it does take some a few weeks between building/wiring for building being done and when you as a customer can get it installed/running), and the tech support team were excellent at helping me troubleshoot as I wanted to get the most out of my connection since it was initially hovering around 800-850Mbps due to my self-provided Asus XT8 router's various QoS/protections/monitoring/beamforming/etc slowing down wired and wireless speeds. The results in the screenshots speak for themselves but as you can see I'm comfortably above 900Mbps (averaging 900-950Mbps). Latency is also reasonable with the usual popular Speedtest.net servers in Australia between 1ms and 5ms.

I'd also note that in the few months I've been with GigaComm, the service has been rock solid with only two very brief service interruptions (one was a minute or two, and the other was half an hour but it was due to another contractor in our building knocking out the connection unintentionally).

All in all, highly recommended. If you are considering this either as a customer or a strata committee member, I cannot praise these guys enough and how well they worked with us. There's plenty of positive feedback as well in other forums eg Whirlpool on the installation process too. From a customer perspective, they do manage to deliver on their promises (despite my scepticism!) but I suppose the flip side is gigabit internet unfortunately doesn't come cheap. The 1000/100 plan I was on costs $189/mth.

it's a low latency gigabit fast service

Highly recommend GigaComm as a provider because their support people are transparent, responsive and it's a reliable low latency gigabit fast service. IMHO it's a technology approach the NBN could have used for apartment complexes from the very beginning.

All along the sales process I wondered how are GigaComm doing it, Internet Speed = distance/time and thus why there was some early scepticism🤷‍♂️ based on what we all know about NBN technology.

If they had said technically how it's done I would have signed up in half the time because it's a technology approach the NBN could have used for apartment complexes from the very beginning and there's very few providers taking this approach. More on Whirlpool.

The difference in speed is…

The difference in speed is unbelievable. None of this “typical evening speed” with caveats. Web pages are instant, working from home is a bazillion times better, and my wifi calls don’t jitter if the missus is watching YouTube.

GigaComm solved my Internet speed problem

With other NBN providers, I can only get a maximum of 100Mbps to my home. GigaComm solved that problem and now I am getting a 200Mbps Internet connection with options to go up to 1000Mbps if I want to. Awesome!
