Very friendly and excellent level of service. Products are all unique and the wallpaper I ordered is just perfect for the effect I'm hoping to achieve. I will definitely be shopping here again!

I had a bit of a problem with the website as well as with identifying items that didn't have to be ordered in advance. Very prompt response from Gillian Arnold who kept me updated and even removed the postage costs.

I purchased a cushion and two lampshades and had a great deal of help from the Manager Charlie.
I would thoroughly recommend this gem of a shop absolutely beautiful things particularly if you want something different and individual.

Having bought from Gilian Arnold before we decided to buy more of the same lampshades for our newly decorated room. We were asked to pay upfront as they are made to order. They kept giving us a date but the shades didn't arrive and they stopped answering the phone. I emailed Gilian Arnold herself and the lampshades came within a few days.

I recently attended a lampshade making workshop. I found it enjoyable & easy to follow & was over the moon with my finished product.
It ended up being a one to one session as I was the only one booked on the course.
Whilst on the one hand that was great as I got personal tuition, on the other hand my session only lasted 1 hour 30 minutes compared to the 2 hour 30 minutes advertised. I therefore felt that the course was expensive.

Called into Darlington and was able to see fabric and sizes. Decided to buy online to get discount. Shame I couldn’t get discount in shop. Excellent lamp shades and they arrived in given time frame. Very happy with purchases.

10 out of 10 for their customer service! Ordered a lampshade for my daughter at the Bishop Auckland store on 23 April and telephoned Darlington branch yesterday to find out the progress of my order. Spoke to a very helpful lady called Charley who set the wheels in motion so that I received my order today with not one but two shades. After contacting her she said due to their error I could keep both! Thank you and well done!

I’d received a couple of the Blue and White Cow Parsley Glass Coasters as a birthday present a couple of weeks ago and was so upset when 1 accidentally got broken. I called Gillian Arnold to see if they sold individual coasters, which they did so I purchased one. My delivery arrived today and much to my surprise it was the full set of 4. I called the shop as I assumed there had been a mistake with the order but was stunned to hear that they had sent me a set of 4 coasters with their compliments and to make sure they all matched up. I can truly say I was overwhelmed with the kindness of this gesture. It really was appreciated and totally unexpected. I will definitely be purchasing again as there are some beautiful items and I’ll be recommending this company to my family and friends. Amazing customer service, completely exceeded my expectations…thank you so much xx

Uniqueness is Gillian Arnold’s ‘unique selling point’ - many of the items in the shop are made from pressed flowers and are actually unique. And beautiful!
This is the place to go for something really special for yourself or for a gift for someone special.
The staff are knowledgeable, very helpful and are are outstanding when wrapping items securely. I can’t recommend this place enough. If you’re in Darlington, check it out!

Excellent service from ordering bespoke tall floor lamps all the way through to delivery. Kept informed on progress throughout. Absolutely delighted with the lamps exactly what i was looking for. Cannot recommend this company highly enough.

I'm not sure why it takes 19 days to receive a gift voucher when I've paid the compulsory £6 for tracked 24 hour delivery.
I chased twice and received a quick reply, but it didn't speed up the delivery!

I attended a Kintsugi workshop at Gillian's and thoroughly enjoyed her friendly and kind ways. Teas and biscuits kept us going and all of us had managed to create a piece of art at the end of the evening. Well worth it.
I booked the workshop not on Gillian's website and was charged an additional £6 for postage... So best to go on the official website.
