Gj locks are great tools for me

Gj locks are great tools, I have spent a few 1000 with gj I think by now, always fast delivery, any problems I've had that like loosing my yale cam holder he's sent me new for free, can't fault him, I'm opening yale platnuim, apecs, ultion and the rest with pretty much ease, you have to learn the tool and the lock the tool won't do it for you! Motor thumbturn and a mortice pick just bought aswell, the motor thumbturn with ferret holder is a ridiculous tool, absolute beast and a fave of mine, all the best gj, from quickpickings Ltd known as quickpicksheff

Curtain pick arrived with cheap plastic…

Curtain pick arrived with cheap plastic disk handles, cheap plastic case for £180.00 inc vat, very disappointing since I watched a review online which showed and said it came with a aluminium handle. Looks like a cheap import

In response to GJ Locks Sarcastic Reply:
Very far from a museum exhibit!!, I assume the reason you now provide two plastic handles are because they are not durable and do not last long, the product reviewed on You Tube was sent to the reviewer by yourselves to review and states aluminium handle and cost £150.00, I see now why you did not send the "new plastic handle" version to the You Tube reviewer.

#GJ Locks Cheap Plastic Response:
Very professional, exact type of response you would expect from a bedroom run company. Embarrassing!!!

#GJ Locks Cheap Plastic Response:
I am totally gobsmacked with your juvenile unprofessional response, absolutely great customer service!! I suggest you read my original review again and I assume you do know the VAT threshold and Limited Company accounts viewable to the public, I rest my case.....

#GJ Locks Cheap Plastic Response:
Good to see you edited your last response as it was a bit cringe, reads much better now you amended the limited company/vat sentence, I rest my case a bedroom run company!!. For clarity I have left 14 reviews and 7 have been negative, that is called balanced reviews, I was not happy with the quality of the cheap plastic handles you supplied and I left a review, that is it, that is called a review. We could discuss your duplicate author reviews, one author has left 12 reviews for #GJ LOCKS, and many other have left numerous reviews, very strange? Ultimately you sold an inferior product, like a cheap plastic import and responded to my review with child like unprofessional/aggressive replies, the same way you
aggressively replied to another negative review on your company, perhaps you should get the "NEW" plastic handle version independently reviewed. If you spent more time and resources on supplying/importing better quality products than making unprofessional replies you may fair better. This back and forth is all rather tedious, so I wish you all the luck in the future, please try and be a better person and supply better quality products. Much love.

Did you look at the photos and read the description before you bought it? It says the handles are polyurethane and you get two of them. I suspect the video review you were looking at was not current as this tool has been around for over 3 years and in that time has come with many different types of handles. It originally came with one aluminium handle and cost £220 plus vat. The case is a plastic case with foam inserts, I am not sure what you were expecting it to be made from??
This is a tool made for working locksmiths. The main curtain pick is a precision made tool and thats where your money goes. The handles are created to hold the wires tightly.

In Response: It was commented on a video review that was produced over a year ago, ( things change ) that it would have been nice if there were two handles supplied instead of one. So we did. The cost of the machined aluminium handle is quite expensive. So supplying two would increase the price of the tool. and since all the handles do is hold the wire it doesn't make the slightest difference if they are made of metal plastic or even wood. The material is irrelevant. As any experienced picker knows, mortice locks come both right handed and left handed depending which side of the door they have been fitted to. So rather than have to change a left hand wire over to a right hand wire it was decided to supply two handles. So the tool is ready to use without having to swap the handle over. The majority of these locks pick using the short wires but there are some that prefer the long wires so the user has the option to swap them over as and when required. You could swap wires over thousands of times and there would be no wear as all the handles do is clamp on to the wire. Aluminium does the same job as the polyurethane handles but they are much cheaper. So we can supply two for the same price.

We have sold over 500 of these tools and at least 300 have been exactly the same set as you have. You are the only one complaining? Why, I do not know unless you buy things without reading the product description which states exactly what you are buying and even shows pictures for you to see. Please feel free to do a bit of research and you will find another company selling a very similar pick supplied with a single 3d printed handle and also supplied in a plastic case for £220 plus vat. This is also a well made tool used by many professional locksmiths. The handles are irrelevant to the tools operation. A lot of locksmiths make their own wires and simply bend the ends 90 degrees to form a handle.
We are supplying you two handles with a high quality UK make curtain pick for less than our competition.

In Response to your third edit:
Im not sure if you fully read the earlier response? The review you saw that was conducted by a person I have no control over was posted on Youtube ****OVER A YEAR AGO**** when, as I mentioned previously the tool came with one aluminium handle.

As I have also pointed out previously. The ***TWO*** handles you have with your tool were not in existence when that review ****THAT WAS MADE OVER A YEAR AGO**** was created and posted on Youtube. So unless I have access to a time machine there is no way that Youtube reviewer could have reviewed the **TWO** handles that you were supplied with.

Plus I will highlight yet again that it clearly states on the product listing where you purchased the tool that and I quote,

"Supplied with,

Universal Gauge pick body
2x polyurethane screw together wire handles.
Set of short wires
Set of long wires
Case."
Plus we are a VAT registered, UK companies house registered Limited Company. Our VAT and Tax returns are available online for anyone to see.
Interesting to see all your other reviews for other companies are mostly negative. Says a lot :-0
IN Responce again: Over 300 of this product sold with these same handles. You are the only one complaining. Get back on your digger and leave the lockpicking to the professionals.

GJ locks EPG mk4

I'd been considering an EPG upgrade for some time so took the plunge and bought the GJ locks EPG MK4, the build quality is fantastic, it's a beast. Like a few on line say, it takes a bit of getting use to but now I've used it a few times, I'm very pleased with it. Definitely recommend if you are in the market for an upgrade.
