Awful to deal and book with . Tried to book with them last month to visit my elderly mother last minute who was poorly . I Booked via booking.com . I Received a booking confirmation email . Then an hour later received an email to say the venue couldn’t process the card payment and I had 24 hours to sort payment before they cancelled the booking . I Sent the same card details 3 more times as there was no reason the card payment shouldn’t go through . Each time I received the same email saying the venue couldn’t process the payment . So I tried calling the venue numerous times directly to sort payment but they wouldn’t answer the phone , yet emailed me back saying they can’t deal with me directly as the reservation was through booking.com . So I tried sending card details again and they just cancelled the booking straight away . I emailed asking why? As they are supposed to give 24 hours for me to sort payment and they never replied . They were rude in their previous email responses and very unhelpful . I ended up booking another venue via Air BnB with the exact same card details without any issues . I suspect with it being a bank holiday weekend they had a better offer on the room as it was the last one available and then fabricated a problem with the card to then justify cancelling the booking to give the room to someone else at a higher price. Shocking service ! If I could rate this venue at Zero stars I would . I would never try to book this venue again . Just awful , rude service .
