Awful company

Awful company. They have no compassion for their customers. I was charged and tried to cancel same day. They refused to refund. They don’t make their money from people who actually use their platform. They make their money from people who forget to cancel then refuse to refund them even though they have no intent to use their service.

Here's the deal

Pros: sleek design, interesting content

Cons: content lacks depth and skews toward generic truisms; they don't honor customer satisfaction - if you don't like their product, then you're stuck with it for a year and the $48 USD price

Observations: they send the course(s) you choose, otherwise you don't hear from them

really not bad

Looks like there's no much new topics coming out daily but enough for a year to get through all you're interested in so as for me it's really worthy to shell out on it.

Highbrow is amazing

Highbrow has been such an inspiration. I love waking up to emails every morning and the classes are so insightful. You can tell these authors/teachers put a lot of time into really helping the reading understand. I appreciate Highbrow so much.

Non-invasive approach to learning

Great way to take a non-invasive approach to learning on a daily basis. I don't feel the need to check a book out at the library and dedicate time to read it in a rush anymore.

Highbrow - Great learning platform

Highbrow is really a great platform to encourage learning everyday, since it applies 5 minutes/day learning which can be easily conducted. There are many topics available as well, ranging from entrepreneurship topics, self improvement, science, philosophy, etc. Every single topic is well-written, well-summarized that include all the necessary details, but still not overwritten that could disrupt the focus of the topics. Overall, Highbrow is a pretty great learning platform, and hopefully there are many more courses added.

Overall a great resource for self-paced learning

I have learned interesting, helpful, and/or enlightening things through each of the Highbrow courses to which I have subscribed. I have gotten a lot of helpful tips for boosting my productivity, in particular. The art classes, such as the impressionist artists course and mindful creativity course, were very pleasant.

However, I do find it irksome when I come across the occasional typo and/or awkward writing in a course - which I know can be easily fixed by a careful copywriting and proofreading process. Spelling mistakes and awkwardness in the emails negatively affect the content and my learning experience.

On occasion, I have also found that the amount of text in a Highbrow lesson is too heavy to manage. In this case, this has caused me to pause my Highbrow learning for that course and file it away from my inbox, for a later time when I can digest the information more thoughtfully.

I have found that the courses that are more broken up with graphics and images are easier to read. It might also be helpful if there was a stated suggested or estimated length of time that it would take a reader to go through a specific lesson (e.g., putting the estimated time for reading at the top of the email in the header, beside/below the lesson title). If possible or applicable, an estimated length of time for doing the "lesson homework" would also be helpful. These precise estimated or suggested time lengths for each course could make it manageable - even if just psychologically - for folks to carve out time in their day to do the reading and homework at some point in the day, especially if they have a packed day.

Overall, I am very happy with my experience with Highbrow, and the plethora of interesting and diverse courses to choose from. I think this resource as a micro-learning tool has a lot of potential. Thank you in advance for considering my feedback.

I find Highbrow well worth the small…

I find Highbrow well worth the small amount of money that I have to spend each year to take any of the courses.
The courses are well designed and written and cover a multitude of subjects and usually take only 5 minutes a day to watch.
There is also a free version of the program though I highly recommend spending a little money to join the Premium version, You get to take any of Highbrows courses with the Premium version whereas the free version only lets you take a limited number of courses.

Amazing Learning

I just love the way how they consistently provide useful knowledge, inspiration, and techniques that I can use in my day to day life. Every course was amazing and the quiz makes me recap each topic that I have read for the past days.
