Learning new things

Really enjoying the courses and the material. It only takes 5 minutes, which is great as I have many emails to get through and busy days. I usually pick subjects I know very little about and it whets your appetite to learn more and delve in to some of the links to explore further about the subject. Highly recommend it.

Quick

Quick, regular review of topics. I have enjoyed every session. Nice to get in daily, short emails. And each course is only a week.

CHEATERS! DON'T OPT FOR TRIAL PERIOD

As you can see from so many reviews, they are money sucking cheaters. They charged me $48 even after cancelling my subscriptions after the free period. They never sent a mail and now they claim that I would have received a mail if I had cancelled. Cheap way to do business.

Do not subscribe to them

They never sent me any email so I totally forgot about them, the only way I could unsubscribe was cancelating automated payments via PayPal because they only send the link to manage your subscription in their emails (and they never sent me any email in the trial period).

Buyer Beware!

Last year, I signed up for a discounted year of Higbrow. It was worth $30/year to give it a try. After the year, I wasn't going to renew. I felt the class offerings were not worth the money. Much to my surprise, a $65 charge appeared on my checking account They renewed for me! There may have been some notice, but it was certainly well hidden. What reputable company wouldn't give you your money back if you contacted them about this 'misunderstanding'?
What a shabby way to do business.. As you read these reviews, you can see I'm not alone.

I am a professional photographer

I am a professional photographer. today I received an email solicitation to 'join the highbrow family'... interestingly, they posted
a copyright protected image of mine within their solicitations.
basically a nice image of now deceased Norma McCorvey, the lady associated with the Row vs Wade, abortion ruling.
Professional/Reputable companies know better than to attempt to benefit from other people's work without permission.

A "Bad" review is still "too goo"

A "Bad" review is still "too goo"! This was the WORST purchase/investment in my entire life! The company do not have a refund policy, even if they are at fault!

I signed up for the trial. The entire time, I NEVER received an email. I figured I did not enroll.
A few days before the trial period ended I logged in to cancel, at which time I read that the only way to cancel is by clicking "cancel" on one of the emails (never) sent. I searched my entire inbox, SPAM and all, NOTHING! I should note here that I am an IT analyst. Finding a "sent" email is super easy to do.

Because I never received an email, and based on the "click cancel in the email" instructions I figured I did not have an account.
A few days later I was charged. I've contacted the Customer Services on numerous occasion. Though they've cancelled my membership, I have access until my annual membership ends. What's worst, Now that I've paid for this stupid thing, I"m still not receiving emails. I've sent screenshots of my results from my entire inbox that shows nothing was received.
At this point, I believe I may now be blocked, they've stopped responding to my issue, and refuse to refund my money! At this point all I want is my money! No one wants to pay for a service that 1. they've tried to cancel, but unable to do so by no fault of their own, and..
2. Not able to use the service because the company not holding up their end of the deal!.

This is suppose to be a company that improves the intellect of an individual. Well.. what I've learned: This company has terrible customer services, and expect users to pay for unavailable service!

Seriously, is it too much to ask for a refund for a service not being rendered?!

My experience of their service is…

My experience of their service is extremely unprofessional and unethical. I cancelled my membership as instructed 30 day free trial, however the money was still withdrawn from my account. They are now refusing to refund me and are simply ignoring my emails. I would be very careful before signing up to a free period with them. I don't believe they are trustworthy. Iam chasing them to refund my money..Iam not happy with their cources..It is not usefull

At first it frustrated me that Highbrow…

At first it frustrated me that Highbrow courses were only delivered once a day, but that factor has taught me a lesson in itself and increased my learning like crazy! I focus on one topic at a time and actually take it in, rather than signing up for a million courses only leave them all in my inbox. It's such a wealth of information that I can't wait to get my hands on, and I appreciate the quality so much more with that focused quantity.

Short but Sweet.

Despite these courses being short, they are full of useful information and advice. I have been doing Highbrow courses for some years now, from business to self-development, to help broaden my knowledge. I look forward to my Highbrow email every morning and can always something new and exciting to go on with once my short course is complete.

Unprofessional and unethical experience

The bad rating is not for the courses which are fine. However my experience of their service is extremely unprofessional and unethical. I cancelled my membership as instructed before the 30 day free trial, however the money was still withdrawn from my account. They are now refusing to refund me and are simply ignoring my emails. I would be very careful before signing up to a free period with them. I don't believe they are trustworthy.
