I had an incredible experience at this Turkish restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious—authentic flavors, fresh ingredients, and beautifully presented dishes. Every bite was a delight.
The service was equally impressive; the staff were attentive, friendly, and made us feel right at home. A special mention to the manager, Hasan, who went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. His warm hospitality truly made our visit memorable.
I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for amazing Turkish cuisine and top-notch service. I’ll definitely be coming back!
Not impressed with the service
Not impressed with the service. Very poor and not attentive to the needs of the customer.
How can you be the first diners, arriving at 5pm and at least 5 others table get served before you. Time waiting to get the starters 2 hours😳😡And to add insult to injury they didn’t even clear our starter plates before plonking your main infront of you. And not changing your cutlery!!!!
Also take into account that we had a pre-booking.
The customer and their satisfaction should be at the top of the list.
Mangel in Stokenewington all the way!!!!!!
And they charge you extra (dine in fee) everytime you order a drink. 😳

Very nice food and great service led by Leyla and her staff at Park Royal branch. I would definitely reccommend.
My experience with this restaurant as a first time customer
The food was very nice and fresh, staff have a very good hospitality, the place is quiet with good parking area and next to kids play area which a good choice for a family with young children.
Rubbish customer service
I been to this place couple of times, but this time I had a very bad experience in Chingford. They don’t care about the customers. we have to call them for place in Order. there is no welcoming taking pride to customer.. we asked for tea more than four times, even they didn’t give us.. we left the restaurant without drinking tea.
Terrible experience from the Chingford…
Terrible experience from the Chingford branch. Ordered a meal and what arrived was not what I was expecting. Usually they have warm bread, but these were two halves of stone cold bread, there was no salad at all. The bulger wheat was tasteless. The yogurt was like water.
I try to give this place the benefit of doubt and return but every time I do something like this happens. They don’t care about customers nor do they take pride in what they do. This was one example where someone dropped the ball and sent out food not fit for consumption!
Had the most shocking experience at…
Had the most shocking experience at Gokyuzu in Park Royal today. Ordered two portions of the long minced chicken (chicken kofte), something I’ve had many times before, including at this restaurant. My friend took a bite, and it turned out to be raw chicken. Absolutely disgusting and dangerous.
I went to talk to the manager, Samad. Instead of listening, he started yelling at me, saying the chicken wasn’t raw and that’s how it’s supposed to be. He was super close and aggressive, making me really uncomfortable. No one should be talked to like that, especially a female customer.
Then another staff member (the one with a lot of lip filler) got herself involved , claiming it was just seasoning and tomato sauce. I’m not stupid – I know what raw chicken looks like. To make it worse, another lady asked why I was talking for my friend, since she was the one who experienced eating the raw chicken, saying my friend should speak for herself. How unprofessional! Just because my friend ate raw chicken doesn’t mean she has to argue about it. It’s got nothing to do with her if my friends’ speaking or not. You can’t tell a customer what to do.
No replacement food, no refund, nothing. We had to pay the full bill even though we were totally disgusted and couldn’t eat anything at the end. We spent over half an hour arguing about whether the chicken was raw (since they claimed it wasn’t). Even the customers that witnessed what happened at the table next to us agreed the staff were rude, especially the females. And they also agreed that the chicken was raw!!!
Avoid Gokyuzu in Park Royal at all costs. The staff are rude, dismissive, and apparently okay with serving raw chicken. Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else. I will even attach the pictures of the raw chicken that apparently isn’t raw or what she said is ‘appealing’.
POOR SERVICE, Rude unfriendly staff
I had breakfast today at Gokyuzu (Finchley) and unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. The lady who served us was not very welcoming and came off as quite rude. When my kids asked for extra jam, which we were willing to pay for, she seemed unhappy about it. She complained that she didn't know how to add it to the bill since it was a set menu, so she reluctantly said she would just give it to us.
Later, when we asked for some butter, she was visibly annoyed. By the time she finally brought it, which took quite a while, we had already found some butter on one of the plates. To add to the frustration, she had charged us for both the extra jam and butter. Overall, the service was very poor, and the staff was unfriendly and not welcoming at all. It was a disappointing experience.
Park Royal Gukusu
We were a party of 3 . Our food was ok . My sons large mixed grill looked very much like a small tiny one . (Price £22)We have asked the manager if this is the size and quantity we should except -simply they could not care less . Appalled by the ignorant response
Gokyuzu Walthamstow
Gokyuzu Walthamstow great food, friendly stuff, great restaurant.
I booked a table for 15 people
I booked a table for 15 people. We first arrive there at 6pm(booking time). The other guest were on their way. When we arrived i went straight to the lady and order 3 jumbo platters and 8 bottles with water which I paid straight away before anyone to arrive. After 3 minutes a waiter came to my table and told that the platters are ready to come. I said, how come, cuz the guests are not all here?? The food will be cold after 10 minutes. He said, the food is ready go be served and will bring to the table,he can't do anything. I said,i do not the food to be bring so soon on the table before the all guests arrive, i said give the platters to someone else. The waiter said he can't give the platters to someone else as no one ordered jumbo platers. Remember: it was Saturday 6pm,you do not want to know how busy is that restaurant,it was full of people. How can you say no one else ordered jumbo food??? A crap! Ok,after 10 minutes the food was there, anyway quite cold to be honest! The all people came and we served the food. After that,we ordered kunefe desert. I am eating kunefe, also cooking kunefe, since 2009. It is my favourite desert. I can say that was the worst kunefe I ever eat. I have never seen kunefe with creme fraiche on the top. As far as I know, kunefe it s served with icecream, not creme fraiche(the cheapest one,you can taste the butter very strong). Probably they run out of icecream and put creme fraiche on the top. Which taste awful. After deserts they asked who want turkish tea.We said all that we want,so 15 turkish teas. We only received 9. When I asked again that we still want 6 teas, the waiter never came back. We waited, waited, waited after our teas until the manager started to come and to watch us,probably to leave asap as they want to free the table for another customers. I totally paid aproximatley £450 . Was the most expensive dinner and the worst one in my life. Definitely we are not coming back here ever. It is nothing to compare this restaurant with the turkish restaurants from Haringey Green Lanes. The food is overpriced for what you receive. They are not lack of staff, but the staff is crap. They are too busy on saturdays and do not know how to manage everything. They do not care about customers, their only goal is to make more money. I would not recommend this restaurant
I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT!
The food was average and the staff and service was absolutely abhorrent!!
Once the staff finally acknowledged us waiting to be shown to a table (that we had booked the day before), we had to wait 15 minutes before they took our order.
We wouldn't have minded the wait, but the food was bland! Then to top it off, we had to wait a further 15 minutes once we had requested our bill.
The bill was brought over to us, and yes you guessed it, we were ignored. After waiting a further 12 minutes we went up to pay the bill and there was no thank you from the staff, no mints nothing.
Miserable, unprofessional staff. Definitely, will not be going to this crap hole again.
Gokyuzu Restaurant in Chingford E4
Gokyuzu Restaurant in Chingford E4, provided a delightful dining experience with its exquisite food and inviting ambiance. The evening began with a warm welcome, setting the tone for a pleasant night. The menu boasted a diverse selection of dishes, each a culinary masterpiece.
The flavours were a symphony of taste, showcasing the chef's skill in combining fresh ingredients. From the appetizers to the main course, every dish was a journey through Turkish cuisine, leaving a lasting impression on the palate. The presentation was equally impressive, adding an aesthetic touch to the overall experience.
The restaurant's ambiance contributed to the charm of the evening. Soft lighting, tasteful decor, and comfortable seating created an intimate and cozy atmosphere. The staff's attentive service further enhanced the overall dining pleasure, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable evening.
Gokyuzu Restaurant in Chingford provided the ideal setting for a lovely, food-filled evening. Highly recommended for those seeking a combination of exceptional cuisine and a welcoming atmosphere.
Poor attitude, high costs, lack of warmth, and subpar service.
I visited Gokyuzu last night to celebrate my wife's birthday, hoping for a memorable evening. Sadly, it turned out to be memorable for all the wrong reasons. Right from the onset, there was an evident lack of warmth as we were met with no greetings, and the staff had grim faces with not a single smile in sight. This cold atmosphere was only the beginning.
While the food was passable, the prices were exorbitant, with both the dishes and drinks being exceptionally expensive and not justifying their value.
The service, however, was where the real issues lay. Our waiter seemed disinterested and frequently overlooked our table. This was especially evident when it came time to request our bill; the waiter simply dropped it off without offering any directions on the payment method, leaving us to flag down another staff member to proceed with the card payment. The overall inattention and seeming indifference from the staff marred our special occasion. The experience cast a shadow over our celebrations.
Given the high costs, the lack of warmth, and subpar service, I would strongly advise potential diners to think twice before choosing this establishment, whether for special occasions or a regular meal.

If you're a fan of Turkish cuisine or simply looking to embark on a culinary adventure, I highly recommend visiting this kebab restaurant.
Unbelievable!
We live near Brighton, but we regularly travel to Woodford and always call in at Gokyuzu for a meal as we love their food. However, over the past few visits our opinion of this restaurant has drastically gone downhill. The staff are like something out of a Faulty Towers series. It's as if they want to show you how rude they can be. Today we were dripped on from a leaking roof and we were not able to move to another table, so I had to wear my waterproof jacket and place as many napkins on the table as we could find. Then I found a large sharp piece of bone shard in my lamb which was a very unpleasant experience. We told one of the servers and he had absolutely no response whatsoever. Eventually we showed it to another server who just took it away. Unbelievable! The same thing happened on a previous visit when they served me raw chicken with my cooked lamb. The staff are completely unresponsive. We paid the bill in full, but probably shouldn't have paid the service charge.

I am thrilled to leave a 5-star review for Gokyuzu Finchley. Finding a clean restaurant in London can be challenging, but this place is simply the best. It is impeccably clean, offers delicious food, and generous portions.
While the overall staff may not always be the friendliest, there is one particular gentleman who consistently greets me and my child with warmth and kindness. His exceptional customer service adds to the enjoyable dining experience.
Some comments have been made about the prices, but I find that the quality of the food matches its value. Gokyuzu Finchley strikes a perfect balance of providing high-quality meals at affordable prices.
I genuinely love this place and highly recommend it to anyone seeking a clean, delicious, and reasonably priced dining experience.
Just way too expensive
Just want too expensive. A friend and I went for a meal while the food was nice, the price was astronomical! A starter, a main and two non alcoholic drinks came to £80! This is more expensive than a similar restaurant in Dubai or Monaco. Prices appear to go up every few months since the pandemic and it’s simply too much to justify paying this insane amount for a simple meal in a common noisy busy packed restaurant.
First time at the Chingford branch
First time at the Chingford branch. Lots of parking space.
We booked a table for 11 people this afternoon. Was surprised how big it is.
The service was good. The food was delicious, big portion & value for money. We did not have much contact with the staff. We also did not have to wait too long for starters to be delivered to our table. We all agreed that we would go to this restaurant again.
