Went for dinner on a Sunday evening after booking a table online and upon entering the restaurant- no greetings, hello or acknowledgement that a small group of customers arrived. It's like we are invisible. Had to approach the staff to find our booked table and learned that we could sit anywhere as there were a number of empty tables around.
One of the servers reluctantly came to our table with the menu and felt that either server had a long day or doesn't want to serve us.
Fine- please find another job if you don't like to serve customers, I fully understand that but you're representing the restaurant and the manager on duty doesn't seems to be paying attention either.
Nobody likes to feel unwelcome in a restaurant which also made the average food way less enjoyable.
As a customer, we don't only pay for the food but also for the service we receive.
Would I like to be somewhere where the service is poor, the food is average and the staff attitude is dull and expects us to pay a tip?
No, thanks. Would not visit again or recommend friends/families.

Dishonest and argumentative staff. Ordered a chicken dish, was served lamb. When I notified the waiter he argued with me and tried to convince me that it was chicken. I asked him to redo the dish and they served me lamb again, at which point I just gave up and shared my wife's food. The attitude towards customers here is hilariously bad.

Staff very really friendly and communication was great

This place is terrible. Seriously, we went there on cold January evening and we waited 90mins outside. We were told we would have to wait for 15mins initially. However, after 30mins I was beginning to lose my patience and asked the staff, she replied that they are prioritising other people. Their food was bland and tasteless. YOU ARE BETTER OF GOING IN MCDONALDS!

This restaurant used to be so nice in food and service but today we were so shocked with quality of the food which was served cold ,too salty and greasy . Staff not speak English and needed to wait for long time to get simple things such as cutlery also not respectful . I will not come here anymore . Waste of time and money .

I visited the Chingford branch for my sister's Birthday, and the meal and service was excellent. Although they were very busy the food came hot, was very tasty, and of good quality. All of my family members were impressed. I would highly recommend. One of the best Turkish restaurants I have visited.

I've always had a pleasant experience at this restaurant (Chingford branch). My friends and I have made it a tradition to visit this place each year. The food is delicious (my faves are the ribs and also their sea bass) and the customer service has always been good considering there is always a large group of us who go each time! I'm actually shocked to see so many bad reviews on here as I've never encountered a problem. I'd say go to the Chingford branch if you want to have a good time!

Hi, I placed an order last Friday. Food was never delivered to me. The driver went to the wrong place, claiming I provided the wrong address, which I used previously and no one had any problems and all orders were always on time. The driver called to confirm the address and I said where I live, and he said he knows where is that. Guess what you can track drivers and see how they move. The driver spent like 25 min in 1 place ( looks like he met someone and had a chat)and then he passed by my house without stopping and went all the way back to the restaurant. I tried to call the restaurant, but it was useless. I was shocked at how the manager handled the situation. He said they are not dealing with deliveries and I can contact Just It. He can see the driver was back with my food and NO replacement was offered or redelivery. The guy on the phone said he does not care and I can place another order if want and that I DO NOT understand how they work. I tried to explain that choosing the correct partners is their responsibility because it has an impact on the food which was cooked by the restaurant. Well, I spent 10 years in hospitality, working in a 5 * hotel (restaurant) so I would never say to my clients that there is no other option. We would always try to find a solution. The manager just said that there is nothing that they can do. If you think to support some businesses during the lockdown, I would not do it to Gokyuzu Walthamstow, because they just do not care about their clients. Contacting Just It did not help either. They promised to investigate and come back to me within 48 hours, which was never done. I contacted them again and now they asked 72 hours more to investigate. I want my money back. Because now it is appearing on my account that food was delivered, which was NOT. and Money has gone.

VERY GREEDY MANAGER - Forced me to order adult meal for infant. So I cancelled the booking.

I went to book for 35 people. 23 Adults, 4 infants, 4 under 4 years, and 4 under 12.

But they manager said this is their company policy to buy full adult meal for each infant, and toddlers. They said they can not compromise.

I told them why should I order full meal for infant.. the manager replied this is their company policy. If I dont want then I have to cancel the booking so I did so.

Absolutely disgracefull, Cold stale bread, Rice even colder..."Never Again".

Gokyuzu Walthamstow branch is let down to the other branches.We went there on Saturday 24/05/19 for a friend's baby shower as some guests were still arriving we were told we need to leave as the table was booked.We requested for another table and the manager was so rude and said we need to leave so we requested for another table as about five of us had not yet eaten.He was so unprofessional and rude and such a let down to the staff who were very helpful.We went outside to wait for the rest who had to come after work so they could eat and the restaurant was half empty.We sat on the tables outside and ordered food for the rest of the group.We felt so humiliated by this manager who kept hovering around us we ignored them and continued enjoying our food and drinks.Gokyuzu on the A406 is definitely much better.Go to Walthamstow at your own peril.

So today first time I try the Gokyuzu in Finchley. Ambiance was nice, restaraunt was nice and clean. Waiting staff were a little slow. Now for most important. Food was nice but I could not even take one bite of starters bread and dip also salad and they bring the main. So I eat the starter and the main becomes cold. Ok but taste of mains was nice cooked well and good portion size. Salad was good also. Bread was cold must be hot places I eat before Turkish they serve fresh warm bread.
Now at the end of meal I was also given service charge not common in Turkish restaurant around north London so meal for one person become expensive. For two people with drink easy £40-50 and higher service charge.

Rude and ignorant staff, they bring out random bits of food at odd times. E.g. salad as soon as we sat down, then humus but no bread...few mins later French fries and no mains. When the mains actually did arrive, the chicken was uncooked. It looked like it had been warmed up in a microwave. Serving staff, when called over simply walk in the opposite direction and then say they didn’t hear or see you, when they were looking at you at the time! This was the second time we went to this place and I can honestly say there are far better Turkish restaurants with attentive service and much tastier food closer by. Wouldn’t recommend this place at all.

Was playing the mini golf when i noticed how busy the restaurant was so we decided to go in. Was really happy - nice clean, spacious environment. It was very busy so i can understand that the staff were not as attentive as i would have liked. The food was great and the bill not too bad - very happy would certainly recommend.

Would I recommend this restaurant, the answer would have to be no!

I can except slow service if a restaurant is busy but rudeness from management and staff is just not excepterbal.
For the duration of or visit we had every slow service but we understood and excepted this as it was Farthers day. However staff were not polite and as it was a very hot day 31 Celsius, we requested a jug of ice water for the table and the request was denied! There answer was you can only have it by the glass.

We asked for the glasses of water plus we requested a 2nd round of drinks from the menu.
You just got this feeling before the food arrived that if it was going to be any thing like the drinks order, then it wouldn't be great.

Unfortunately our fears came true. 7 meals ordered only 4 were edible. The 3 that didn't eat or even touch there food due to the food being under cooked, chicken full of fat skin and gristle just left there dinner. Our views were just to leave. Staff were not interested.
We asked for the bill £150.00 I gave them a card for payment, the manager took the card payment and he didn't even say thank you for the payment or was there any problems.

If the management like this then you can see why staff show no interest.

It was a bit of a travel for us and it s not usual area we would go out, but definitely worth to travel that part of the city.

Absolutely delicious... EVERYTHING, great atmosphere and lovely interior. The only reason it is not 5* is service. Which will depend on a waiter, some of them are very quick and lovely and helpful. Some of them might ignore you for ages. That doesn't spoil the food though, unless you are in rush.

Recommend to go, but probably on one of nor very busy night in the middle of the week.
