Copperhead trip

We just got back from our 3 day trip to Innisbrook, and it couldn’t have gone any better. The resort, golf, and price was perfect! Mark helped me along the way with any questions I had, and got us the best possible golf package imaginable! We had some issues with our plane being delayed, and I reached out to golf zoo, to see if they could assist in keeping the Avis rep on-site, as we were now landing in the middle of the night. Chad from golf zoo, went above and beyond, and even called me after hours, to confirm there would be somebody at Avis to get me my rental car at 2 in the morning. The team at Golfzoo was really extraordinary, and I will definitely be using them again in the future! Thanks again to Mark, Chad, and the whole team! You guys made my weekend run very smoothly! Oh, and Copperhead was everything it was cracked up to be! Great resort, and great Golfing! Thanks again

Group outing to FL

Last year we worked with Mark Sutherland at Golf Zoo to plan an outing for 24 golfers to FL. Because of the COVID 19 pandemic we had to cancel at the last minute but Mark was incredible. From our first contact, Mark was great to work with. There were a lot of options to explore for such a large group and he was always responsive and helpful throughout the many twists and turns that led up to the eventual cancellation. Furthermore, in the midst of the ensuing disruption throughout FL, he was able to get complete refunds for our entire group. We were so pleased with all that Golf Zoo did for us, that we already are planning a 2021 trip with them!

In follow up to COVID-19 and Trustpilot…

In follow up to COVID-19 and Trustpilot recent review. I have to agree with his first post.
I had 12 players of which most were 60+ heading to Mesquite for 5 days of golf starting April 7, 2020. I contacted Golf Zoo around the 10 of March and stated we were concerned about the pandemic and were not sure we would be able to take a chance. I was informed that since i was notifying them within the 30 days we would be charged a penalty. I stated were weren't cancelling yet and waiting to see what happens later. As we all know the pandemic got worse and a lot of things were closed and air travel was not being recommended at that time. I called to cancel around March 25 and was told there would be a $150 charge for cancellation per player. I express my disappointment. The next day i was informed that i would only be charged $75 per player. Again expressed my disappointment. Wanted to wait until I received my credit before I wrote this review, just in case. Was notified today that the additional $75 per player was credited to my account, but still be charged $75 per player.
Now my review. Although I think Lori Greene was a good person to work with, their cooperate office is extremely disappointing and feel they took advantage of the situation. I have been informed that the $75 per player will be credited to a future trip, that is not the point. I will have to think whether or not we will use them in the future, since "What happens if".

With the response I received from Golf Zoo corporate office I am modifying my initial review to down grade their customer service to 1 star. Apparently they treat their customers differently.

From your explanation and I’m assuming, you are asking those golfers who had to cancel due to this recent pandemic and advised by the administration not to travel, to finance your company through this pandemic. In addition golf courses, hotels, restaurants etc. in Nevada were closed.
I understand that federal funding was recently passed and available to assist those employers to help maintain their employees through this pandemic.

I was hoping you would honor my request as you did for Albert Palladino when you refunded 100% of his fees. I’m not sure why your response to my question was different than his.

I sincerely hope you didn't differentiate with other customers the way you are handling my request.

Just to give you an example of good customer service. In 2018 we went through Meridian Condos and Resorts in Scottsdale and when the Bomb Blizzard hit Denver in March 2018 we had to shorten our trip and Brad Meade was able to get us a refund for our condos and golf with basically no questions asked.
Now that is customer service.

Dennis - thank you for pointing out that we did change our cancellation fee into a credit for future travel.

As a company, Golf Zoo is in good shape to withstand this crisis but it would be extremely difficult to keep all of our great employees on board without layoffs or worse if we did not have some funds to help offset our transaction expenses already incurred. Our revised cancellation policy where we have turned our cancellation fee into funds to be held for future travel gives us the best chance to weather the storm with our staff intact while still being fair to our customers.

Hopefully, you can understand how important it is for us to try to help our people keep providing for their families and have them here ready to help you plan your next golf outing.

Taking Advantage--Part 2

I can't believe that Golf Zoo is charging us a $150.00 per player cancellation fee since we are not travelling because of the coronavirus. That is over 50%(original bill was $296.00 per player).
The President is telling us not to travel. Our Governor is telling us not to travel. Yet, there is no protection from companies like this.

My group will not use this service again

3/18/2020--I am amending my review as I have just received notification that there was an initial misunderstanding and we will be receiving a 100% refund. Thank you for your understanding in this trying time and Golf Zoo has kept a customer!!

Don't call us - because we won't call you

I sent a request for a quote to Hilton Head via the company website on 8/22/19. By Monday I had not received a reply. I called thinking there may have been a computer issue. The receptionist confirmed they had received my request and said someone would call me shortly. BY 4pm Monday no one called so I booked my own trip. It's now Tuesday, still no call.

We played 5 courses last week

We played 5 courses last week. The first, Barefoot Norman was absurd. Worst shape on the 5. Sand traps were more mud and gravel. Not much fun. The next 3 courses were great! Offsite course and the Love and Fazio layouts. I am a huge Pete Dye fan and really looked forward to finishing on that course. The course is fantastic but course management SUCKS. Rangers were for show and couldn't do anything to move the folks who were behind along. It turned into waiting on every shot and a 5 1/2 hour round. Sad ending to an otherwise beautiful week in Myrtle Beach.
When our leader contacted Golf Zoo, he was basically dismissed since we had finished everything. I know we were not alone in our opinions as we had several other golfers voice the same thoughts. Very disappointing of Golf Zoo to automatically side with the Barefoot Management team without verifying if there was a legitimate problem or not. We were told that the same person owned all 4 courses by multiple rangers and they verified that Norman was the worst maintained of the 4 and that the Dye course was phenomenal but we would see that they over scheduled golfers and that they would allow people to play beyond their abilities. Our group has used Golf Zoo before and the results have always been great. I sincerely hope this isn't a change in their philosophy but they have certainly disappointed a group of 8 guys with their lack of concern.

Just an update on our issue with the Norman and Dye courses. We are a group of 8 guys that get together once a year from all over the country. The resolution for the 8 of us was to give each of us a 9 rain check to be used on the Love, Fazio or Norman course. A lot of good that does for folks who live in Alabama, Ohio, Michigan and New Hampshire. We will run right down and use them this weekend.

Talk about giving someone the sleeves off your vest! The area is fantastic as were the accommodations. I take nothing away from those. The bad taste in mouth from the Norman and Dye courses still remains.

I worked with Diana to book my bachelor …

I worked with Diana to book my bachelor party golf trip to Ireland. She booked us 3 rounds at 3 incredible courses. We played in the high season, got on in the mornings and for way less than if I had tried to book myself. I'll be using Golfzoo for all of my future golf vacation bookings.

Williamsburg Golf Trip

Again Golf Zoo has come through for me and my group. I can't say enough about how easy it is to book a trip with them, their staff (everyone I have worked with to date) is friendly, responsive and knowledgeable about not just the lodging but most importantly the golf courses and their conditions, layout, playability, pricing and accommodations. They provide a convenient and easy way to make payments, either lump sum and/or individual payments from each golfer within a large group. I have used them numerous times for trips up and down the east coast and have referred many family, friends and clients whom have experienced the same as I have. Look forward to my next trip to Myrtle Beach coming up in May 2017. Thanks!

Terrible Experience!!!

I tried for several days to get a hold of someone on the phone to talk about the trip and make sure there was availability. After 2 days finally got a response, so we booked and confirmed hotel and golf reservations.Thinking that everything was good because i paid for and got a confirmation email we booked flights, and rental cars for 10 people. Several hours later i get an email saying that somehow the hotel rates went up and can no longer get me the accommodations that i already paid for and have a confirmation email. The sales guy told me that i needed to go figure my trip out somewhere else, or cancel my flights and pick new dates.
I was very excited to use Golf Zoo but after this first very unprofessional experience im left walking away disappointed.

The Legends Golf Trip

Overall, great package with great price!
The Moorland and Parkland courses were in great shape, but the Heritage and Oyster Bay were somewhat disappointing.

Travel Zoo has organized two trips for our group. They have been dependable, economical and efficient. I do a great deal of travelling and organizing but am very comfortable turning things over to this company.

Amazing trip!!!

Mark at Golf Zoo booked a perfect trip for us. The townhouse we stayed in couldn't have been better with a perfect travel distance to the courses. We played 4 days of golf and each course was in great condition and nicer than any course we get to play back home. It was my second time booking with Golf Zoo and I will continue booking with them ever year.

Another great experience!

This is my 3rd time using Golf Zoo and I am consistently getting great service. They are very good at listening to what I am looking for in booking a golf holiday. They have found me great golf courses in the price and quality range that I look for. I will use them again in the near future.

great trip

From the moment we landed our trip was a blast, hotel accomadations were very good, I hand picked some of our golf courses which was top shelf, and the couple of courses that were chosen for was were perfect. Thanks for a great trip.
