Due to a strong delay in disembarking and baggage delivery we missed the scheduled transfer. The assistance was immediate and quickly scheduled another transfer with a waiting of about 1 hour. We have been constantly informed by the driver Fabrizio to whom we applaud for the friendliness and service offered.

GoOpti change my booking without my consent. I booked a bus transfer for a fixed pick up time of 7:45am, which was confirmed at the time of booking. My booking was later changed to a pick up time of 7am without my consent, within 24 hours of the journey. I asked to be moved back to the 7:45am bus, but my request was declined and they removed the 7:45am service. It was clear GoOpti wanted to condense 2 services into one to save money. This created a great expense to me to arrange transport to the pick up location by the required time. I expressed my disappointment multiple times over email and have not been offered any form of compensation or apology. I also paid more money for the 7:45am fixed pick up service, and despite being moved to the earlier 7am pick up service, which was a cheaper service, I was not even reimbursed the difference of the two ticket types. I will never book with GoOpti again and will make a point to never recommend this service. The driver Damjan was lovely, I have no complaints about him. But the distress this company has caused me is incomprehensible, and therefore I will never book again.

It's a great option for getting to an airport especially for younger passengers who dont have a car or a drivers license to drive by themselves. Our driver Karin made us safely arrive to the airport at the correct time.

We booked GoOpti for a transfer from Venice Airport to Piran (Slovenia). Our flight was exactly 20 mins late. We arrived at the pick-up point exactly 20 mins after our scheduled time, to find that the transfer had departed. They left us stranded at a foreign airport, with no reasonable means to get to our destination. By the time we’d worked out what had happened, it was past 22h00 on a Sunday night.
In taking the matter up with them, they responded that: (a) we hadn’t provided flight details (although I’m 90% sure we did), (b) they tried to contact us by SMS, and (c) we’d had the option on booking of taking their “absolutely no worries” package to cater for any delays. They also have waivers on their site disowning all responsibility in such situations.
This is all well and good (and it probably covers them legally), but we had a terrible, stressful and costly experience, which we felt could easily have been avoided if they’d taken their duty of care more seriously, specifically in regards to the following (very simple) steps:
- Making submission of flight details for collection at an airport a compulsory field during booking, or, at least, prompting clients to provide these details if not submitted
- Contacting clients via WhatsApp instead of (or in addition to) SMS, especially if getting no response via SMS. E-sims are inexpensive and effective. It would seem logical and sensible to work this type of business on the basis that people, especially international visitors, in 2025 are more likely to be contactable via an internet-based platform, rather than SMS, which requires roaming.
I should note too that the no worries package is substantially more expensive. We opted for their middle package, which we assumed would offer sufficient flexibility for minor delays.
We don’t dispute that we could have taken the premium package, or taken other steps to pre-empt this outcome i.e. some of the responsibility is ours. But equally and above, GoOpti shouldn’t be placing the full burden of responsibility onto their clients. They are the experts, with deep insight into what can go wrong. They should be doing MUCH more to avoid these types of outcome. In our case they didn’t. Their performance just wasn’t good enough – and it put a stain on our holiday.
GoOpti accommodated us on the next bus the following afternoon. The two of us were squeezed into the front seat next to the driver, fair enough given it was fully booked, but they charged us for the pleasure, less fair (mercenary really) given we’d already paid for the previous evening’s missed transfer, and that they weren’t really incurring additional costs or losing out on additional revenue by fitting us in.
