Very disappointing and frustrating experience – not recommended for international customers

Goose & Gander was not transparent at all about their return costs. On their website, it clearly states that return costs are £2.80 and will be deducted from your refund. However, after registering my return, this turned out not to be true. After several emails, they finally explained that this policy does not apply to international orders — something that is nowhere clearly communicated on their website. The actual return costs would have been extremely high.

After further email correspondence, they offered (only after my own initiative) a £25 gift card. However, this gift card could not be used for my original order. To use it, I had to place a new order and pay delivery costs again. Reluctantly, I placed another order.

I eventually received my refund for the first order, but due to currency exchange differences, I still had to pay €14.60 extra. Again, there is no mention on their website that the buyer is responsible for exchange rate differences. According to consumer laws, the buyer is not responsible unless this is clearly stated in advance, which was not the case here. Despite contacting them again, they refused to cooperate or offer any form of solution.

If you live outside the United Kingdom – do NOT order here. I strongly discourage shopping at Goose & Gander. This was an extremely unpleasant and frustrating experience.
