Made us redundant before Christmas and STILL havent paid wages

All the staff at Go Plans were made redundant two months ago today (the only people that knew about this were the Managing Director and Head of Sales), which came as a shock to all the team. We have still yet to get our pay. We were lied to and told we would be paid at the end of December but we werent, leaving us with no money to pay our bills over christmas or get any shopping for christmas that we needed to do.

Company is yet to liquidate themselves meaning we cannot claim lost wages or redundancy pay.

Taken money but services not delivered

Appears they liquidated in December after taking my second set of fees. They have not communicated anything, just deactivated their business and it appears the directors have terminated the staff. Unable to see any notice of a liquidator being appointe.
Oliver Newell appears to be the sole director.

Fraudulent

Sadly we are also victims of this company. We paid just over £3400 for a survey, designs and support through to planning acceptance as well as a scope of works. They were keen to get us to pay double that amount to take us through to project management of our build.
We had a survey done and a 20 minute site visit from the director, whose name i have been asked to remove but which can be found on Comapnies House. This was 1 week before they went into liquidation.
We do not have access to the site survey and the design we got through was laughable and unusable so will need to pay for those to be done again.
Like others I consider the actions of the director to be fraudulent and we are considering legal action against
him for taking money when he knew he could not fulfil the brief. There is still no detail on companies house about the liquidators.
I have searched the Gazette for an insolvency notice using the directors name and sadly he is named on a previous insolvency for another
architecture firm.
I would be happy to join any group action against him.
Update to my review 29 Jan. Go Plans have been in touch with trust pilot to ask me to remove the directors name from my review. What a shame that Go Plans haven't been in touch with any of their clients who have paid them and lost their hard earned money.

money.

Avoid

Sadly had the experience of working with GoPlans for a project which was in the Structural calculation phase/ initial discussions with Building control. They paid neither of the companies involved in this work and have left me foot the bill for work I had already paid them for.
As building control had outstanding invoices from October I find it hard to believe they were not aware of their financial problems months ago but chose not to inform clients.

Not to mention how long it took to get through the initial planning phase, this was mainly due to them never answering the phone and poor communication, making assumptions on their own when a lot of this could have been resolved in a quick discussion.
Happy to peruse legal action!

Avoid.

Initially the service was fine. But the firm has gone bust as of mid Dec. However the Director must have known of the financial issues even when they insisted on a second large payment just a couple of weeks before closing ul.
I dont hold the more junior staff responsible (I understand they may not have been aware of the financial situation). I really dont understand how/why they felt it right to continue taking money. Awful experience. I am now mid process and having paid the vast majority of the fees.

Happy to be contacted by other impacted clients in case of legal options

Scam

I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Go Plans Ltd.

I was sold a full architectural and Building Regulations package by Nahyan during a sales call, with assurances of end-to-end support, clear timelines, and coordination between architectural and structural elements. Based on those assurances, I paid for the service in good faith.

In reality, critical elements of the work were never completed. Structural assumptions were made without proper confirmation, details around internal openings and foundations were unclear, and key questions were repeatedly deferred or contradicted. I was later informed that amendments would incur additional fees — despite these issues never having been agreed or clarified upfront.

Communication was so so terrible as they never answered any calls from the landline and nor replied to any chats on WhatsApp group set up by them.

To add, before the Building Regulations package could be completed or aligned with the structural calculations, I received an email stating that Go Plans Ltd had ceased trading and entered liquidation. Shortly after, emails began bouncing, the website went offline, and all contact stopped.

At no point was I warned that the company was at risk of ceasing operations, despite being actively sold services shortly beforehand. I am now left mid-project, without completed documentation, and having to restart the process elsewhere at additional cost and stress.

The managing Director (details can be found in the Companies House) was fully aware of what is happening but cared little to inform the clients and refund the money & left clients exposed when the company collapsed.

@picky princess lets pursue a legal action against the owner of Go Plans.

Paid up for design and engineering…

Paid up for design and engineering package, including building control, just heard back from building control to say the invoice from October was not paid by go plans, nearly £2000 out of pocket and my building cannot be signed off until this is settled.

Unfortunately also a victim of Nayhan…

Unfortunately also a victim of N. and his unscrupulous team. Promised a design and plans, paid up end of November and no services and the insolvency email. Again I was sold the package I am sure when this individual knew of the financial situation of the company. Judging by previous complaints he was aware of the situation as in October they were already having issues. His actions are therefore illegal, separate from the companies actions and I will be happy to pursue him as an individual legally Anyone up for this?

Scammed - took my deposit right before they went into liquidation

Hired GoPlans to assist with a full home renovation and loft conversion in early November. Spoke with N who promised they would be able to save us money and get the construction completed by June 2026. We were working closely with the designer and a project planner up until three days ago, when suddenly they stopped responding to emails. We kept following up and finally yesterday received an auto-response to our email saying the company has gone bust and is going into liquidation. No prior notice, and there's no way the directors and higher-ups in the company were unaware that they were about to go into liquidation. They still took our money and then disappeared. The liquidation isn't currently listed on the Companies House website and no details for how to contact the insolvency practitioner or where to take it from here. Avoid people associated with this company in the future, as they are likely to do this again if they open a similar company in the future.

Company has gone bust

Similar comment to the below. Sadly Go Plans took payment from me on 1st December so it sounds very much like they knew what they were doing and would be unable to complete the work. The website is still live so in case anyone is dealing with this business, DO NOT make any payments.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!

We contracted this firm to assist with designs and planning application to split a large ground floor flat into 2 smaller flats. Not only did we have to chase them multiple times for updates, their team missed out on Policy H2 and CIL contributions, which meant that the project was an non starter due to Policy H2 and no longer within our budget due to the £50k CIL contribution which was also missed. This should have been picked up during the design phase, but was missed off by the team which they admitted to in an email. Their quotes state that if they cannot get you through planning, they will give you a full refund. The pre-planning advice was that this would not be approved.

Furthermore, when we ask the firm for their insurance details, the director took it upon himself to tell me how insurance claims work. I think he missed the fact that I own a commerical insurance brokerage for the last 10 years, so I didn't take kindly to this and the company still hasn't provided the insurance details as requested.

Finally, their money back gurantee is a fake marketing trick as it is capped at £2,500+VAT, so their statement of "Make your project risk free with our money back gurantee" is not true if you spend more than £2,500 +VAT with them. There is risk that you might not get all your money back under the gurantee.

GoPlans-great service whatever size project

GoPlans have been amazing in handling the planning and buiding control sign off on a small( think tiny structural extension) in an appartment in an old sewing factory in Hackney. In particular Karim El-Saadaway was infinitely patient with lots of changes in the structural design to make the plan work and Joe Mooney applied the same persistant professional approach that you would expect on a huge project to get ours across the line.
Their fees were very reasonable for the service given and I cannot recomend them enough.

We had an excellent experience with Go Plans. Their website was user-friendly, making it easy to navigate and book our appointment. The entire process was seamless and handled with great professionalism. We also appreciated being able to discuss our specific needs with Nahyan, who had valuable experience in exactly what we were looking for. Payment and scheduling were quick and straightforward, and we were even able to secure a Sunday appointment. Kevin was highly professional, and we received the follow-up emails and plans promptly. Overall, it was a fantastic experience we would highly recommend their services.

HACKED SITE DON'T BOTHER

Was researching and came across Go Plans but it was filled with random online casino offers. Not sure what has happened here, but not a site I would ever trust again.

Hello Tom,

Our website was unfortunately hacked a few days ago, and a number of unauthorised online casino articles were published on our blog. As soon as we became aware of the issue, we took immediate action to remove the content and secure the site.
