These guys on support were great
These guys on support were great. They had lots of patience since I don't know too much about computers. THey helped me connect with wire gard and had no complaints. Also helped me get my phone connected so it was always secure.

GoTrusted has major issues…
GoTrusted has major issues with Android phones such as those using the latest OS. When trying to use it in my Google Pixel 5A, it literally crashes it. Also, when connecting with my new HP laptop to some locations, a quick IP address verification shows that a “Paris” location is actually a Lisbon location. This is a problem if I intended to connect to a French TV channel - and not a Portuguese one. Stability is also not always the best.

Android phones connect using their built-in VPN software. Stability can be an issue since Pixel seems to have many reported issues when using their built-in VPNs. Other Android phones have been tested by us to be connected for days using their built-in VPN software which shows the issue is more on the specific Android version side. Regarding the IP location, many websites provide poor quality IP location service and are not always accurate. If you use a reputable service like iplocation.net you will see our French locations are in indeed in Paris as they have always been. Feel free to send us any questions through support as we love hearing opinions and clarifying issues.

I have already written to you, twice now and the last time cancelling, as your system loses connection after about 10 - 15 minutes on average and as I tend mainly to watch sports it is a real pain to keep having to go back to the beginning and start again.
Also when I try to watch programmes on the BBC from England they tell me that I cannot watch from my address.
Consequently all the reasons that I wanted a VPN have stopped being useful on GoTrusted, hence my cancellation. I am still awaiting return of my money as you were clearly instructed well in advance NOT to renew for another 6 months.

It was a shame that we were unable to confirm if the issue was with the Internet service or the VPN as others were able to access the same service from your country. It was not just a question of Internet speed, but also of packet loss to the media you were trying to reach that could have affected your experience.
You should note that we cancelled your account the day before you wrote your review as you requested. Your email was very direct with requesting cancellation and so it did not appear that you needed a reply other than cancellation of your account. An automated email was sent letting you know that they account was cancelled. Perhaps it fell into your Spam folder?

Constantly drops the tunnel
Constantly drops the tunnel. App even when updated will close the tunnel minutes into a streamed show or movie, over and over. I will be trying a different service.

Our VPN app cannot close the connection unless you specifically tell it to by hitting Disconnect. Only a problem with the underlying Internet will cause a miscommunication of the VPN service which then fails and then reports as disconnected. We don't see any requests for Support from you so we were unable to make recommendations that might've remedied the situation.
IP not working in China
IP previously provided for working in China did not work. Emailed to Gotrusted to ask for support but no one answered. emailed three times without any feedback. So I simply asked for termination of subscription.

We only received one support email from you and that was answered the same day. It may be that your emails were being blocked by China. We recommend that you use an email service that won't be blocked by China and use a VPN while sending and receiving emails so they won't get blocked in either direction. Our apologies for your experience.

Our apologies for your experience. We did provide instructions for connecting through L2TP but were not given back enough information to help you connect. Something as simple as having an extra space after your email address or password could cause the connection to fail and so require you to check to ensure you can connect. We strive to make our service as easy as possible to use but need communication to help work through issues with your connection.

Works fine in the US
Works fine in the US, really no problem. In China I believe that they sometimes regularly interrupt hotel wifi connections in order to "throw off" users of vpns. I haven't yet tried other vpns, so I don't know if they will survive this, but GT didn't. Also since I have been considering switching, I notice that a number of alternatives offer advantages such as explicit no-log policies, and (most important when traveling), a kill switch to prevent data leaking when interruptions do occur. I don't see those listed on GT's website as features. So GT has worked fine for me in normal domestic usage, but once we start traveling again I'm going to try some alternatives.

Thank you for your review. We have a good portion of our customers in China connecting still. We hadn't received an email regarding your questions or issues until you cancelled. In our response to your email, we did mention that we have a kill switch on our application and a no-log policy (except for general network monitoring). Additionally, we use disk-less servers and multiple protocols in our apps. We should be more public with these details but prefer to answer directly to customers questions regarding security.
