Our sale and purchase of our new home turned out to be an exceptionally long and gruelling process due to lender requirements but the team at GoughThorne were brilliant and very helpful. It all went down very smoothly in the end and we are very grateful to Zain’s team for this.

We chose Gough Thorne via a recommendation and we were looked after by Andrew and his team. The service was exceptional and right from the outset Andrew and his team were very professional, they were always on hand to take my calls and answer my questions. Emails were always responded to quickly.
The aftercare I have to say was absolutely exemplary, helping us with a complex issue we had following completion. We would not hesitate to use Gough Thorne again or recommend them to our friends.

Glad the process was completed in the end, but overall I was not a satisfied client.

My case officer, Johanna Rheeder, was difficult to communicate with—impatient, dismissive, and at times rude. Twice she abruptly hung up on me and failed to address my concerns, which forced me to sometimes rely on the estate agent whom I got the property from to get updates from the seller solicitors. Despite twice raising Johanna’s unprofessionalism with her team leader, no apology was offered. Thankfully, Jennifer, the team leader, took over and was more professional.

Also, their fees were noticeably on the high side. Proceed with caution.

My experience of working with the team and Sabia at Gough Thorne has been a very good one. I would say that in general communication was good but perhaps hindered by annual leave during the process. Understanding when the team were likely to be away from the office and perhaps having an alternative contact would have kept things running even more smoothly but overall the team really focussed on efforts to reach exchange of contracts between us as sellers and the buyers very quickly. I would recommend Gough Thorne Solicitors in my experience of selling a property.
