I have only been working with Chris for a few weeks, but he has already proven to be an invaluable help in my search to find a job. I came to him after spending almost three months looking for a job – I had already applied to over fifty different companies, and while I had secured a few interviews, I had not yet broken through.

Within one week of starting with Chris, I had landed a very promising full-time, permanent job in my chosen field. Chris primarily helped me with interview skills – through both his online courses and through an incredibly useful one-to-one session. Chris gives you the advice, knowledge and training you need to help you stand out from the crowd. As a result of working with Chris, my confidence and interview skills increased markedly.

I believe that working with the Graduate Coach was the final, essential ingredient that secured me the job. Chris also likes to continue to support his graduates once they have landed the job – I very much look forward to continuing to work with Chris as he helps me to succeed in the first few years of my graduate career.

Huge help at a pivotal time in my life. I cannot overstate the importance of doing this from the first meeting till the last, Chris and his team have been a delight.

Like many young people, our daughter worked very hard at school and university and graduated with an excellent degree. She took some time out to travel and gain some life experience and then tried to find the job of her dreams only to find the jobs market had shrunk markedly since she left university and continued to wither before her eyes.
Despite having a fantastic CV in terms of educational qualifications and managing to secure interviews against the odds and doing really well in these, she was up against the proverbial brick wall as recruitment had all but disappeared no matter how well she performed at interview.
We did a bit of research and found that there were quite a few support networks out there and Graduate Coach clearly stood out as the kind of approach that we needed.
We contacted Chris and were both delighted and relieved to speak to someone who knew exactly what the situation was and could empathise fully with how we felt. He was able to detail how he could help us, what he would be able to do to coach our daughter, develop and improve her CV, provide training opportunities and outline what we might expect moving forward. It was such a pleasure to talk to someone who cares so passionately about what he is doing and about the belief he has in the young people he works with.
Just through talking to him, we felt very confident that Chris would be able to deliver the ambitious programme he planned and we thought the investment would be worth it.
We are delighted that thanks to Chris and Graduate Coach, our daughter has just started her first job two months ahead of our expectations.

We have enlisted Chris’s help for the eldest two of our four children and we will most definitely do the same for our next two as and when they need the help. Chris is the master of helping young adults find their voice and focus their thoughts.

I completed the How to Get a Graduate Job course on FutureLearn which was so useful and provided me with lots of information and tips for writing applications and CVs for graduate jobs. I feel more confident in my graduate job search now after completing this and would recommend it to any graduates searching for a job!

Chris has been a pleasure to work with, and the rest of the team at Graduate Coach are also extremely friendly. He helped me to identify my strengths and then communicate these effectively in interviews. He has guided me through each step of the application process, providing me with regular support. I can't thank Chris enough for everything he's done for me. I turned up having absolutely no idea what I wanted to do. He knows the job market so well and helped me work out exactly where my skills lay and which are the best, growing industries to work in. The practice we’ve done for job interviews helped me master how to come across the best I possibly could in the interview process, as well as making me feel confident before I went in.

He's also really helped me build up my skills during the current lockdown through recommending courses to help me build up my knowledge for when I start work and to put me ahead of others in the interview process.

In truth, he’s done far more than just get me a job, he’s also strengthened the belief in myself I needed in order to succeed.

As a parent of a recent graduate I can tell you that Chris has worked miracles with our son. He has given him self belief and confidence in his ability to reach his goals. The C.V he helped him create has taken the job search to a whole new level, in this current climate he has just landed a job. Awesome work and hats off to you Mr Davies. My son had always done well academically. He achieved strong grades in GCSE’s and A levels and went on to graduate with a high 2.1 in a well-respected humanities degree from a top Russell Group University. But when it came to what to do next, he and we as his parents didn’t know where to start. My son was absolutely determined to find his own way, but needed direction, structure and relevant advice. As parents, much of our advice was frankly outdated. Chris was a godsend. The first step was to help identify what areas my son is most suited for based on his strengths and aspirations. The next step was tailored advice and support on everything from CV writing, job searching, and interviewing technique (which spans from online, telephone, standard face to face and project-based interviews). To say that Chris is just a graduate coach would be to sell him short. Not only has he helped me to find a career path that suits my goals and ambitions (during a particularly uncertain time politically/economically-speaking), he has also been there to pick me up when I floundered; he motivated me to be more resilient, to work harder and more effectively towards achieving success in the short, medium and long-term. Without his help, my life would undoubtedly be much darker and almost completely directionless - in this sense he, and the team that facilitates his work, has been invaluable.

I would almost go so far as to say that using Chris at the Graduate coach is essential for the preparation necessary to be successful in securing the right job in the right company. Some may find the whole process easy, however I suspect the vast majority seeking to get into their chosen career will not and so will benefit hugely from his advice and help. Two of my daughters have been through the Graduate Coach’s doors and both have ended up with their dream jobs in their dream companies in a very short time. They certainly would not have done this without his help. My third daughter will soon be passing through his doors as well, in the knowledge that he will sprinkle his star dust and help her through the frankly ’unnatural’ selection processes of most big companies. He understands and has a deep knowledge of these modern methods of recruitment - how best to prepare for them; how best to present one’s achievements both in a CV and in video interviews etc; how to ensure one projects what recruiters want to hear - and not hear - in the one to one interviews and in the dreaded assessment days. It seems very specific skills are needed to be successful in these things, and without any coaching most would not have the faintest idea how to behave. My daughters all became more confident, more knowledgeable and more comfortable with recruitment processes. Consequently, this enabled them to relax, be themselves and let the recruiting teams see what they had to offer. They could think on their feet; weren’t thrown by awkward, unexpected and unforeseen questions; were able to judge when the time was right to be a leader and when to listen and take more of a back seat. All in all they had the confidence to be themselves and shine in what can be a terrifying experience. Full marks to Chris. Absolutely brilliant work and we could not be any happier. Highly recommended to all.

I would thoroughly recommend Chris. Not only is he an incredibly nice guy, he is very knowledgeable and extremely good at what he does.
My son had a false start with his first job after leaving University and had to start all over again. After application upon application and no success I noticed my son starting to get desperate. It was at this point we found Chris.
Chris very quickly got our son focussed on his dream job, he introduced new avenues and new energy. With fresh focus and a new spring in his step our son very quickly landed a couple of interviews and the following week had a job offer in his dream job. This was a month and a half after starting with Chris.
My advice is don’t get put off by what Chris charges, it will be money well spent.

I have just landed my dream position after working with Chris.

Holding strong ambitions to work with consumer brands, I was initially struggling to find a job within this sector. I had exhausted all traditional means of finding a job and came to a dead end with my job search, whilst I also struggled to know which type of role suited my strengths and interests best.

Initially working with Chris, I was pleased with how he identified my needs, strengths & interests and matched these to suitable positions. Then, developing a solid strategy allowed us to work together to identify suitable roles, whilst using a variety of means to search for relevant positions. This was vital help due to my previous struggles - having exhausted all means of application.

Chris gave strong help and guidance across all means of application, such as CV, Cover Letter and interview technique which was vital to the application process. Having my heart set on one application - Chris’ tips and knowledge were vital, helping me to develop a strong understanding of market trends/challenges etc, whilst providing me with tips to enable me to stand out from the crowd and demonstrate my knowledge & skills.

Having recently received a job offer for this application, I feel grateful to have met Chris and received his help. His help through all stages of the application(s) allowed me to excel and receive positive feedback received from my interview.

For graduates getting that first step on the employment ladder is so difficult. When my son started looking for a job he had no idea what he wanted to do, and struggled for some months applying for various roles with no success. The Graduate Coach Team, Chris and Rene in particular, helped him recognise his soft skills and qualifications and guided him to research roles relevant to these , and provided guidance with every aspect of the recruitment process. After having 4 years out of my desired industry and a keen interest to move cities, I had spent months applying for jobs without success, causing my confidence to deteriorate.

I found GC/Chris online, and after sending over my CV, it only took one conversation to recognise how much he believed in me. He opened my eyes to what skills I already had through my past experience, and what was required for the jobs I was applying for. The online interview course provided excellent resources to make sure you are fully prepared, increasing confidence and making the whole interview process a lot less nerve racking.
