Bad First Time Experience

Reading the reviews this doesn't seems to be an uncommon incident with Grainger Games.

Ordered a brand new Mario Kart 8 for Wii U to receive a filthy used copy with no shrink wrap, residuals of peeled stickers and a cd covered with scuffs and scratches.

I have sent an e-mail (via website) to customer service upon receiving the product but unfortunately there are no phone contacts to immediately rectify the issue or consult in details.

This was ordered as a "party game" for my newphews who are visiting over the weekend however i doubt i will get a replacement copy by then.

Whilst we do try to send out sealed items wherever possible, as we source items from our stores occasionally we are unable to do so as the boxes are unsealed so the games/manuals can be stored securely for security purposes (particularly with older games or items which are low in stock). However these games haven't been previously used and include all single use content such as DLC/Online Passes where applicable.

However – this shouldn't affect the quality of your product and i'm sorry to hear this is the case.

I've replied to your email sent this afternoon (within 4 hours) with details on how this can get sorted asap.

In the meantime, Sorry for the hassle caused.

Stella Glow 3ds

Ordered a new 3ds game but recieved one that I can't tell if it's new or not. Why is it not factory sealed if it's new? Hard not to imagine i've been sent a pre owned copy and charged more for it.

Utter joke.

Pre ordered a game for my son.

He picked it up but they over charged him by £5 as the in store price was more than their website even though the price was advertised.

Returned within 15 minutes and refused to honour the price they had given or give a refund.

Terrible customer service and I will avoid from now on. Try game or cex for your gaming needs.

Hi David - The prices and our website and in-store do vary as we run separate offers on each, such as our buy one get 1 free on DVD's which is only available in-store. We do state this on every page of our website to try and minimise confusion.

Very Happy

Grainger Games was new to me until fairly recently but having used them several times of late thought I would pass on my experience. I managed to snag a few very good deals on both new and pre-owned games. All were very well packaged and arrived within a couple of days. What more could you want? They are now bookmarked and will be one of my goto sites for games in the future :o)

Disgusting Customer Service Treated like Dog Poop!

Bought a controller from the Liverpool Lord street store today found out that new controllers was coming out I got home and explained to the store that the controller was unopened and factory sealed, I explained why I wanted to return the item. I was told So, You cant return it even if its sealed I dont care. I said Id get trading standards involved he said I dont care.

"New"

After ordering what I thought was going to be a new product I received a used game instead. Stating games might not come sealed due to how they are stored for security purposes is one thing but the case was tatty and the disc scratched which implies it has been used previously and going on the other reviews I am not the first to receive a used game passed off as new. Avoid.

No problems

I ordered a preorder of One Piece: Burning Blood Marineford edition from Grainger Games. It arrived today on the release day in perfect condition. I had no or elms contacting support multiple times, and they replied within a day every time. I am very pleased with the service and will be buying from them again.

Was sold poor quality and counterfeit products.

In December last year I bought 2 preowned ps3 controllers, one red and one gold. They both arrived late and when the gold one arrived it was in poor aesthetic condition on the L2 button was sticky and didn't work properly. I emailed asking what could be done about this and I was told they would replace it for me if I sent the faulty one back. I sent it back and waited but my replacement didn't arrive. I emailed weeks later asking where it was and was told they had received the faulty one and the replacement had already been dispatched and would be with me shortly. That was in January.

I have also since discovered that the red controller is a fake, meaning they have sold me a counterfeit product which is illegal. I emailed them informing them of this but have been ignored multiple times.
I spent £55.98 on two controller and all I have to show for it is a counterfeit controller as they took the faulty gold one and never replaced it for me. Awful email presence as they think they can just ignore me. They also never pick up on their phone line which was impossible to find as I tried looking for it again and couldn't find it.

I have contacted the Ombudsman and will get my money back or will get replacements, after that I will not be buying anything else from Grainger Games. Every new game that came out, I would buy from Grainger but I won't do that anymore. Congratulations on losing a long standing customer over £55.98.

Web Sales team is a joke.

I ordered a new phone from Grainger Games website for home delivery.
Stated delivery time was 4-5 working days.
After 6 working days my order had not been processed and it then took a further 2 days for them to reply to my emails- advising me that they were looking into it.
2 days later and no replies to my emails even offering an explanation as to what was happening and I cancelled my order.
The only positive thing that happened is that my money was refunded via PayPal quickly after I cancelled my order.
I cannot comment on the efficiency and professional courtesy of their shops but their web sales department is an absolute joke and should be avoided at all costs.

New game? yea right it looks like you have butchers working for you!

So I bought a game from this company as it was the cheapest around said ok I'll give them a try, So it took 4 days and 3 email's for them to dispatch my game, Great delivery time
Now here's where the fun start's I ordered a "new" game, The game I got does not look new atall... it looks like it's been handled by a butcher. On closer inspection it looks like whoever removed the price sticker did not know what they where doing and has almost ripped the cover art and left dent's in the cover along with the sticky residue of the price sticker.
Now I've gotta try get a refund because this is below standards for a "new" game

Completely ignored!

Oh I am beyond excited, somewhere were Grainger games actually acknowledge you, who would have thought it! I know I am 6 months late however used to spend pounds with this company until last Christmas. A disgusting member of staff in the Bransholme Hull branch was so rude to me because I dared to take a gift card (supplied by Sony I may add) from the stand (there were at least 15 there) and instead I got told to put it back because it was store policy that I just got a receipt with the number on (for PlayStation membership) when I explained that it was for a 10 year old and I couldn't really wrap up a receipt and the cards were supplied by Sony free of charge I was told it wasn't his problem, I asked for the manager (I got assistant) and she laughed in my face so I put back my £270 purchases (was it worth it really!)! I wrote an e-mail to Grainger games and received no reply. I have never and will never set foot inside one of their shops again. Its not the fact that your staff were awful it was the sheer lack of acknowledgement from customer (obviously don't) care. The laughable reviews on here echo my thoughts, good luck for the future as without customers there is no future and 58% is no recommendation at all, a quick buck is not sustainable the CEO of your company clearly does not require his business to have a good reputation. People have choices and will go elsewhere, I did!

Lack of clarity with their customer's

So I ordered a game on the 17th, today is the 25th the item still hasn't even been dispatched, Contacted them via email get the same generic response "We dispatch for delivery on a 3-5 working day basis when standard delivery is selected at the checkout, unfortunately this excludes weekends. Your items will be delivered to you within this timeframe", I'm sure as heck not paying £8 for delivery of a most likely pre owned game when I'm buying a new game. Here's a fun fact it cost's £2.05 to send a game out first class recorded with a major mail delivery company.

As we source stock from our stores across the UK (to allow us to sell a wider range of products, as well as pre-owned items which have been traded in) it can take a few days to have these ready for dispatch. However we do send all items first class which should arrive the next working day after dispatch. This is why we estimate up to 5 working days delivery, as this includes the processing time.

Shambles of a company

Bought 15 copies of Black ops for xbox 360 only for them to accept 1. Strangely they were still selling them on there site so weren't out of stock. Got a refund day after with no email of explanation why and what problem was as i was paying cash so why the problem? Company also trades under a different amazon account and were selling them on there too.

Love to know a reason so all of us customers can see if your selling a item and have stock why not fulfill peoples orders?

Cex had no problem at all letting me have 8 of these games on the same day i placed this order so if you think your on level par with some companies maybe honour what your customers order and not choose what you want people to have?

Bet you if i was order 20 fifa 10's from you i wouldn't have been declined and refunded

Whilst we do try to fulfil every order placed with us, we do reserve the right to limit these to one per customer where goods are believed to be purchased with the intent of resale, or ordered in quantities that could affect general stock levels to all customer. As i'm sure you're aware, there has been a massive increase in demand for this title since it was made backwards compatible on the Xbox One. Due to this, we decided to limit this to one per customer so as many customers as possible were able to get their hands on this, rather than selling a large quantity of our stock to a few bulk orders. We do state this in the terms of our website, and whilst it is a rare occurrence, this title was low enough in stock that we had to enforce this - This title has now sold out completely on our website.

Quick delivery no problems

Quick delivery, box could have done with some bubble wrap around it as it was slightly crushed on the corner's. Otherwise no problems will buy again.

New product?

The overall purchase experience was flawless.
I purchased online was posted and received promptly.

The issue starts when I open the packet, Firstly both games are unsealed so I question if they are actually new games, secondly one of the boxes has sticker residue on the box which makes me believe these have been display copies of the game.
As a WiiU collector I saw the game was sold online as NEW I expected it would still contain the factory seal.

Gutted!
