Brilliant coffee. I bought full gas after listening to the Groupetto podcast with Chris Pritchard, Interesting history and great coffee. Easy enough to buy, but could do with PayPal link to make it super easy.

I got a bag of Full Gas and one of Podium. I usually drink the former when I need a kick and the latter when I have an easy morning/afternoon. Looking forward to trying the others as well.

I should start by saying that I can't fault the buying process, service and delivery. Spot on, no quibbles there. My issue comes in with the actual product, which on this occasion was the Yellow Jersey Columbian. As a cyclist and coffee enthusiast, I appreciated the marketing and theme behind this, and was intrigued to give it a go. With a good tasting notes description, single origin bean, limited batch and 'boutique coffee' pricing and feel, I had a certain level of expectation. When it comes to the actual drinking, I was pretty disappointed. Despite a 'strength' level of 3, this is a very dark roast, and has the bitterness and taste of an average wholesale or supermarket bean, which would be about 1/3 of the price. I prepared this in my standard way with a V60, as well as with a long trialled method with a moka pot, and both were disappointing. So much so that I have swapped over to a different coffee after 3 cups, and relegated this to the 'incase we run out of other bean' backup. I really wanted to like this coffee, but there are a considerably better cycling themed coffees out there, and there are beans akin to this for a lot less in your local supermarket.

What can i say other than the coffee is fantastic and customer service is really quick and helpfull.
