Went to the mercure hotel,at the out side of Cardiff.I went there once before it was disgusting ,poor food rooms .As I was unable to book till late I was stuck here .The best way to describe it, should be made into a car park. The food even worse ,it was limited and very low quality reheated turkey ,chip limited salad which is two sweets i,e 85p cheesecake .No proper chief .The hygiene was well below par .Anyone going there again, take tablets to cover food poisoning your likely to get stembark problem .And to Grand UK , don't use this hotel again and please send us vouchers ,it worth a no more than £500not £700 your own staff agreed it was worse.

Good pickup taxi both ways with checks from coach company. Guide very pleasant and knowledgeable about places we passed through as well as the day trips organised.
Hotel comfortable, food ok, hotel staff welcoming. Some of the restaurant service was a bit haphazard eg no water readily available at the table, had to keep asking for items such as tartare sauce when eating scampi, no condiments at all on table bar pepper.
Not only the day excursions, which were very interesting but also the tour leader, Wendy, the very competent driver Marcus.
The tour manager and the driver they were both experienced and entertaining
River cruise in Germany the boat was good. The food was excellent. But the itinerary was changed the UK group had no idea what was going on until our excellent driver sorted it out But the sunrise coach was a yutuon from angies coaches No Leg room if you are 5ft 10ln or taller had to sit on spare seat at the back only fit for school kids not a500mile trip
Excellent hotel with beautiful cooked meals.Excursions well thought out for the most part.

On our pick up from kingston upon Thames we were waiting at the destination we were given no one turned up so I wandered around the corner and the cab was sitting around the corner so that already made us over half an hour late, he then dropped us off at a bus stop in Leatherhead and i said to him this is not the right place he just said that's where he was told and drove off, so i had to phone grand uk company and they said it was Cobham Services so me and my mum had to wait for him to come back and get us. When we arrived at coach pick up point we had to wait 50 minutes because the driver got lost.
On the Tuesday trip when we went to the moors there was plenty of parking spaces for photo opportunities but the driver chose to go down an embankment and everyone on the coach screamed as it was very high up and the coach tipped over the edge.
Wednesday day trip to Longleat, once again the driver was getting lost he was trying to follow the satnav but the tour guide kept telling him to ignore that and go different ways so we ended up getting to Longleat way after our allocated time. When we got there the guide said shall we stop to look at and feed the deers everyone on the coach said no so they could get on with seeing the rest of the safari park but she just ignored them and spent half an hour feeding deers, so we ended up missing pretty much the whole park because we had no time left to do it.
Thursday free day usually get offered to be taken somewhere at an extra cost which we usually do but were offered nothing so had nowhere to go but to walk along the seafront, so overall this holiday was very disappointing, i wrote to grand uk saying personally I feel we should be reimbursed for some of the holiday as we missed half of it due to the incompetence of your staff. They replied saying they would get back to me, a month later I heard nothing, so I wrote to them again asking if this is there general practice to ignore it in the hope we would forget about it, got a rubbish reply back today saying we understand your frustration but hope our staff can learn from this, so basically they couldn't care less as long as they got their money. Won't using them again

I went on one of their Gold tours last week and they were absolutely brilliant. It was easy to book, I was kept informed, it was door to door and the Tour Manager and driver were really fantastic. I was so impressed that I booked another 2 tours for next year while I was away.

This was our first Coach Holiday.
Very well organised. Love the fact we could sit back and relax, taking in all the scenery.
Ann - our guide was professional, polite & informative, no problem too small for her.
Lewis, the driver, was excellent.
Look forward to our next trip.

Despite Storm Amy I want to commend our Driver, Tony, and Courier, Kay. Despite loosing a day of our holiday to the Storm, Kay made many arrangements to enable us to see everything promised in the brochure.
(We were surprised when an acquaintance of Kays agreed to give us an hours tour around Liverpool. It became a sightseeing tour plus a Beetle's tour too. So we had two and a half hours tour completely unexpected. It was a blessing because the wind was so strong walking around was almost out of the question)!!
These changes meant even changing the Friday return journey on the Ferry.
Yes, we were tired at the end of the holiday, because of late night or early morning sailings, but after all the delays our homeward journey was almost on time.
They could not have done more for us. Thank you both, and the Company who sanctioned the changes made - and for the lovely Cream Tea served to us in St. Johns.
There was enough to do without over filling our time
everything promised delivered in a professional manner. Experienced, helpful and friendly staff. very good value for money
