Second time not so impressive.
I left a VERY favourable review last time, so it's only fair I do the same this time.
My first experience with Grandy's Camera was amazing. Ordered Monday pm, received Friday am. That order was shipped by FedEx.
This time, ordered Wednesday 28th August, pm. Immediately got an email saying delivery was 7-10 business days and as this was a temporary delay, it wasn't mentioned on the website.
Nothing had happened by 10th September (day prior to 10th business day). I went on to "Live Chat" that morning to ask for an update. Nothing happened on the live chat window, but I did eventually receive an email late than evening saying the item would ship Friday (13th) and I would get the tracking details on Monday (16th). As it happened, I got the tracking details on Tuesday 17th, and it was delivered this morning. So that was a 21 day wait in total, 15 business days.
I've recommended Grandy's Camera to lots of people since my first experience. Would I now? Yes, the prices are still excellent, but with the caveat that you will likely have to wait quite an extended period for your item to arrive. Looking at all the other recent reviews, my guess is they may now be shipping by rail instead of air. If time is on your side, the prices are very hard to beat. If you need the item fast, however, for the time being at least, they are probably not for you.

The service is really poor
The service is really poor ! I paid for it and no communication for 3 weeks … I had to contact PayPal to step into this. I will not order from this company again.

Great value and pretty good…
Great value and pretty good communication. But slow delivery.
Ordered a camera body on July 8th. Very slow delivery. In the end it was arriving while I was on the trip I needed it for so I asked them to delay despatch until I was back and able to receive it. Even then it was delayed by a couple of weeks. Finally got it in late August.
Great product at a great price. Pretty good communication too. Only quibble is the very slow delivery time. Just be aware of that when ordering, they are very good value.
Poor delivery
Despite stated delivery time of between 7-10 business days, new £2000 lens projected delivery 18 business days, that’s nearly a month. Needed for trip abroad but not arriving in time. Emails/chat messages promising progress but Royal Mail tracking not agreeing with their statements, very disappointing.
Do not expect quick (or on time) delivery
Stated delivery time on website and at time of purchase was immediately revised upon purchase, meaning camera did not arrive in time for holiday. In fact was another week later. Also no notification of pending delivery meaning I was out when it arrived, leading to further frustration and having to collect from local post office.
tracking issued
product arived nearly a month after order plaveced - tracking issued - rm next working day by 1pm. only update from grandys its not yet scanned, it was 4 day before it was scanned and eventually delivered .
but I would recommend avoiding these guys unless willing to wait as delivery is nearly a month.
Had to Cancel Order
I ordered my camera on 12th August. A little worried about delivery I contacted the company who said it would come via FedEx on 30th August (before I went away). It got closer to 30/08 and nothing was heard so I chatted to them again and they apologised as there had been a delay and it COULD arrive by 4th September - far too late as I was travelling then. I had to cancel the order. It would be useful to get updates on this sort of thing rather than having to keep contacting them. Luckily I ordered the same camera (yes it was more money) and it arrived the very next day. The chat service is very good and they are very honest in what is happening.

Camera arrived at the most competitive price anywhere on the internet, on occasions you may need to wait longer for delivery which given their prices is not a problem, they are always there should you need an update.
When purchasing my lens from this website …
When purchasing my lens from this website, you are asked pick a delivery timescale (we have items in stock). Next day, three days.. etc… absolutely disregarded… three weeks before the lens was delivered. That’s not reasonable, okay, or acceptable, because the price is cheaper…? just say… we deliver 3 weeks after purchase. And we won’t contact you, update you, advise you, or provide a tracker until the third week - simples.
Worried at first - but happy now.
Great prices, only niggle from my point of view is that buying through Grandy's I had the expectation it would arrive quicker than it actually did. There was nothing in the website information to say that purchases would be sent from abroad - although I suppose a clue could be 'Shipping free'. So with no communication after a week, I started to wonder if the site is real, even after communications via the 'Chat' option.
All that aside, eventually I received shipping notice and my purchase finally arrived via FedEX: and I am very happy - thank you.
Ordered a camera
Ordered a camera. Received email 10days later to say the camera had been despatched. Good communication throughout the delivery as to the progress of the package. Camera arrived 3days later,
well packaged.
Fantastic price and a good customer service experience
I'm very happy with my product from Grandy's. I saved around £400 on a high quality camera and lens. Shipment time was much slower than advertised as the item came from Hong Kong. The advertised time said 7-10 days but the item arrived in just under 28 days. However, when I requested an update via the online chat their customer service was really good and they gave very clear and accurate timescales so I never felt left in the dark. Highly recommended.

My order was processed with great efficiency. my order confirmation came with a link to FedEx and the tracking link was constantly up to date. My delivery came two days early and would use Grandy's Cameras again, most likely next spring for my other new camera.

Great service - delivery was on time.
Email communication prior to purchase was clear and to the point. Delivery time was as advised. Camera was very well packed. Everything seems to be working fine. I would not hesitate to deal with them again.
Instructions were in Chinese
Instructions were in Chinese. There are English instructions (as seen on YouTube).
Also, I only got the camera - no camera case. Considering that I paid over £500 for my camera, I would not have expected to have got the cheaper product, as there is a box which includes camera and case (as seen on YouTube).
