Tastes good but there are lots of chewy, gristle pieces in each package. It appears that the meat is not cleaned properly to get rid of gristle, the white sheath on muscle meat and chewy pieces of cartilage from around the ends of bones. On google it says that only lower grades of ground beef contain bits of cartilage and gristle. I am very disappointed to have to spit out pieces of such every time I eat a burger as my understanding is that Wellness Meats beef is supposed to be of highest quality.

We buy the 75% ground beef more than 85% lean ground beef. But with some recipes I like a little less fat. Always good flavor!!!

The ground beef in my last order came in a completely different color than usual. I am still scratching my head wondering what your explanation for it was. When 15 ground beef packages arrive at my door in dark brown color instead of a rich red color as it always has, and you spin it as "it got too much oxygen" or something to that effect, it leaves me wondering about your business practices. Your company is currently rated as the top provider. This last event has left me wondering. And if I hadn't received great service with wonderful people all these years, I would probably not have accepted the brown meat. Not only did you put your staff in an uncomfortable situation to deal with the calls like mine that you received, but you forced me to call you to explain why. I was extremely happy buying meat from you until this last purchase. But to be frank, a call in advance to let us know that that the meat was not going to be in it's normal color, I would have felt better about our business relationship. If you had recalled the meat or BETTER yet had not sold it at all, I would not be in the position to write this. These little tiny cuts is what could cost your business to decline. If I had not been a long time buyer, I probably would not be a return customer. So, I ask you as your longtime customer, please don't allow this to happen again.

Sometimes meat may not appear brown when it is first packaged, but color changes can occur as the freezing process begins. Since product comes from different cases, we do not always know which customers may receive pieces with a darker color versus the typical red appearance.

I am a continue customer so disappointed brought 9 LB/ 3 LB came looked fresh but the rest looks so dark in colors. I know that old beef that packed. The quality is not the same. I won’t be buying any going forward…..
