The liver tastes good, but it requires a lot of trimming to serve a tender end product. So far, I'm averaging 11oz of servable portions. As to the packaging, it arrived with some of the liver completely thawed, but still cold enough from the frozen packs of liver that were still fully frozen.

I appreciate the 100% grass-fed liver & ability to purchase this easily in the US, but the liver is dark, indicating it’s from older cows so it’s very gamey and I don’t look forward to eating it. Raw is also out of the question. Granted / I’ve had great quality beef liver in Japan, so this was quite the contrast. If possible, I’d also appreciate if the membrane can be removed.

Remember eating liver as a kid, probably haven't had it since mom prepared it sixty years ago. My wife helped me prepare an Italian style recipe sauce that was excellent with the liver. I ordered some filets for New Years.

I’m eating the liver raw and swallowing without chewing. The taste and smell do not gag me since the liver is high quality. I originally order 2 #. One pound I maintained in the freezer. The other defrosted (pound) liver I stored in a ziplock bag and a fully air tight enclosure. The liver maintained its freshness for 16 days while I ate 2 oz every other day.
