The steaks are cut thicker than other competing products. Thicker cuts are easier to grill over charcoal since they don't cook as fast. I use a probe thermometer inserted through the side. Thin steaks are harder to get the probe into the center so a thicker cut helps get the probe into the coolest part of the steak. I prefer 1" or thicker. Since the cattle are grass fed the taste is ok but is not as good as corn fed. I am aware of the perceived issues with GMO corn but if I am going to spend a lot of money for steak I will purchase steaks that have a good amount of fat marbling that just is not present in grass fed.

Very impressed by the packaging and shipping, everything arrived completely frozen and fresh. And these steaks are delicious!! Plus if you buy in bulk it’s comparable to store prices but you’re getting a better quality product.
