Good product, poor service

As a returning customer I received an email offering 20% discount; attempted to use, disallowed. Contacted online support, given a 10% discount code. When questioned as to why 20% was unavailable, told this was only for .com site and not for .co.uk which I was (naturally; I’m in the UK) using. Informed they could assist no further. Either honour the emailed discount code worldwide or don’t send it to residents of countries where it cannot. The customer service rep certainly came across as dismissive + unhelpful; they answered my question but did so abruptly with no apology for issues outside of their control but within that of their employer who they are representing. This experience negated my intended purchase from Grayl.

Perfect portable water filtering tool

Bought the Grayl water filter for assured safe drinking water when fishing and when travelling overseas in places where the water can be dodgy even in posh premises. I bought it to be a filtering tool, not to use as a water bottle. Using it is easy. It takes out a lot of nasties. I transfer filtered water into other water bottles to carry with me, although when fishing I do drink straight from it and just keep refilling it. No 'herby/muddy' taste at all. Clean pure water - perfect.

Disappointing Customer Service

Disappointing Customer Service and Overpriced Product:

I purchased the Grayl Geopress water purifier bottle off a third-party site for my travels to Central America and Africa. While the product seems to work fine, I honestly believe it is overpriced. In hindsight, I wouldn't buy it again. Most hostels I’ve stayed at offer purified water, and it’s easy to access, which makes carrying around the Geopress unnecessary. Plus, when you’re backpacking, it's very easy to lose things, and the high price makes you overly cautious not to misplace it.

I read several glowing reviews on travel blogs, but now I suspect those may have been sponsored by Grayl. The concept is clever, but the one-star rating is due to the poor customer service. I’ve emailed Grayl multiple times with simple questions about how to tell when the cartridge is finished and whether I need to use a certain piece (like a silicone valve). Unfortunately, no one has responded at all. The lack of communication is frustrating, and if a bigger issue arose, I’d have no confidence in their support. For that reason, I can't recommend this product.

Great product. Terrible service

I was looking to order another filter for my Grayl Geopress. I placed my order on Amazon. I was told that the product would be delivered between Aug. 7-9th. Imagine my disappointment when all three days passed by and I still don't have my filter. Great job of setting expectations, failing to meet them, and not even caring. When I checked the order on Amazon, I see it didn't ship until Aug. 8th. I messaged them over the weekend a couple of times with no response. Monday morning, I was told that they don't work weekends. They smugly told me that my package was in transit and that I could "request" a return once it arrived. Lucky me! They have my money, and I don't have the product I ordered. Buy the filter locally, so you don't have to deal with their indifferent, detached non-existent customer service.
