Lovely flowers!

I have bought flowers multiple times, GBF are my go to online flower shop. I come back because the flowers are lovely, beautifully presented and last well. Great couriers too. Everyone I have sent these bouquets to have been thrilled with them, which makes me happy too.

Brilliant, Beautiful and British

I have been using The Great British Florist for a number of years now. Everything from the Christmas foliage bundle to the Thursday Flowers. The bunches are always beautiful, delivery on time and always in perfect condition. I can't fault them. The recipients of various birthday, thank you, or just because bunches are always really pleased and often tell me there was enough to split and have a couple of arrangements round the house.
I've also had questions about the flowers in bouquets before and the team are always happy to help identify a flower and answer any queries.

Could not ask for more kind of business

This is a true gem of a local business. The quality of the dried wreaths is simply outstanding. Our latest purchase was the Clodack dried flower wreath to hang inside the house after the Christmas wreath was up for 6 months which btw still looks like it will see another Christmas. I love the excellent craftsmanship that enabled these wreaths to last and therefore make them unrivalled value for money. Not to mention supporting a local business using local flowers. One thing is certain, we will purchase here again!

Lovely flowers that are predominantly

Lovely flowers that are predominantly British grown and with sustainable packaging. They were held up by a day which wasn’t an issue since I wasn’t in a rush for them and the company kept me informed of any developments. This is the second time I’ve used them and will continue to do so.

Beautiful Flowers

Had a small problem with my PayPal payment not going through, but I was called on my mobile and we made alternative arrangements. This meant the flowers still arrived on time, the next day.
The flowers were absolutely beautiful and so much better than others that I've ordered from other Companies. The bouquet was for my Mums 80th Birthday and she was over the moon with them.

Beautiful dried wreath

I ordered a Brobury dried wreath to place in my entrance hall to celebrate having visitors again - it is beautiful, tastefully colourful, and I notice artisanal details each day. I’d have one in every room if I could. I’ve ordered fresh poseys from the Great British Florist for years and I hope I get to order for many more and I’m so pleased the dried flowers are equally as fab. Thank you!

Disappointed again by an online florist

I applaud the sentiment behind this company and really wanted the flowers to be good compared with the many other online delivery companies. I was told that the flowers I sent to my mother-in-law were a 'nice lot of flowers', but there was no 'OMG they're lovely'. So before sending flowers to anyone else, I decided to order some for Easter - a box of seasonal cut flowers. They were delivered on time, beautifully packed and kept hydrated with gel (unlike other companies). However, I was really disappointed to receive such unseasonal flowers as Alstroemeria, Lysianthus and Statice, plus a sprig of Eryngium. There were only 2 pale pink hyacinths and one colour of narcissus (bright yellow daffodils), plus another spring flower; no tulips, which would have been nice. There was too much woody greenery, one variety of which had huge leaves which looked really unspring-like. A few other varieties made my arrangement look more Christmas-y than Easter-y given that the Alstroemeria were red. I had to split the colours up because they looked terrible altogether. So disappointed. From now on I have now decided to just use local florists in each area where my friends live rather than chance an online florist who delivers nationwide.

Dear Juliet - We are very sorry to read your flowers were not as expected. Obviously we were very pleased to read there were a good lot of flowers delivered on time and in good condition. They are guaranteed to arrive tip top. However, we use the flowers that we have in the floristry on the day and bearing in mind you have had narcissi, hyacinth, another spring flower and others I think it sounds like a fair reflection of what we include as seasonal blooms. By the way the alstroemeria is grown less than 20 miles from us and the foliage you mention is also UK grown. We are indeed an online florist BUT we are tiny, we are based on a farm in Herefordshire and we take a huge pride in our work and our flowers, so it’s sad for us to read that you are disappointed in us and had we had the chance to explain or put things right if need be under our guarantee we would have been pleased to do so.

Complaint Re. MOTHERS DAY FLOWERS

Having received a flowers for Mothers Day, well packed and looked fresh, they arrived on Sat unpacked immediately, I followed the instructions to the letter all but one stem were dead by Tuesday, I sent email to "Rob" I received an immediate apology and a new boquet was sent, however, these flowers were a fraction of the cost of the first lot and I could have bought them in M&S for no more than £7/8. none of them were in bud and the rwo bunches of daffs and 4 tulips died in less than 2 days. It is a misconception to assume that flowers given as gifts will be accepted without complaint, hardly something you want to convey to the sender ; I would add that photos of the dead flowers were sent to Rob, so there could be no doubt that my complaint was genuine. Sadly, I will have to tell my daughter so that she never uses this Co. again. Take my advice if you want fresh flowers go to M&S or Waitrose or better still contact a local florist in Mums town I would add that I always try to use smaller companies if I can but have learned a lesson.

. Very ANGRY. A. Bryant

I’m sorry to read this review and your conclusion. The flowers are guaranteed and so had we received photos of the flowers you are unhappy with I would have addressed the situation even if it was the second time. In terms of delivery if the flowers get shaken or damaged we always replace and make amends to the best of our ability. I would add this is very rarely needed. We sent 1167 arrangements for Mothering Sunday so for you to have two problems is extremely unusual – but no reason not to contact us direct. What I can say is that the flowers we send are always fresh (we pick and have deliveries in all the time) and I can assure you that the same value is always allocated to the Cut Flower Box which are the flowers you received. It’s true we are a small company – we are based on a Duchy Farm in rural Herefordshire BUT we take a pride in our flowers, our company and our service and always will take the time to address a problem or a mistake with good humour and in a timely fashion - as long as we get the chance. Flowers looked great on arrival

Flowers looked great on arrival - 4 days ago. Sorry to say that the tulips & narcissus are already dying. Evidently narcissus do not like being in the same vase as other flowers!

Sorry to read your flowers have wilted after 4 days - they should last at least 7 so if you would like to email us the detail and a photo we will happily address the issue and make amends if we can. In terms of narcissi and tulips once the narcissi are trimmed they are fine to be mixed (it’s the excess sap that doesn’t go well with some other flowers) and this is why changing the water as we recommend is important especially for these gorgeous blooms. Hope this will sort things for you and we look forward to hearing from you.

Wonderful Mother's Day flowers

I sent my mother flowers for Mother's Day. She was delighted with the present as the flowers were in great condition (perhaps because they hadn't been sent from Holland) but also because they were so different from what we normally see in a florist. She was doubly pleased to hear they were all British blooms too.

Flowers were just amazing ..

Flowers were just amazing ... like they had just been cut from a lovely garden. Excellent instructions on how to care for them too :-) Stalks well packed in gel meant they were very fresh despite being a day late in delivery ... but that was down to DPD.
