Christmas order cancelled just a couple…
Christmas order cancelled just a couple of days before delivery due. Disappointed. Last year order was missing items. Not 100% reliable.

I’ve used Great British Meat company on several occasions, my Christmas meat hamper was cancelled yesterday and while I appreciate they had to come to this decision, I now have limited time and funds to source meat for Xmas, refund states it could take around 5 days so I’m pretty stuffed, no meat, no cash!

Cancelled order 10 days before Christmas blaming 1st stock shortage and then Royal Mail / courrier service. Fortunately found another company who could fulfill order without any excuses.

Had my order cancelled today, am I severely annoyed about it, yes as I was seriously looking forward to the Christmas dinner. This isn’t GBM’s fault, I will not be leaving them at all, their decision to cancel the orders and not dice it, is excellent. I’d rather not get it and have time to sort something local instead of it being late and I find out it’s all warm and oh no, nothing for Christmas dinner. This is all a Royal Mail fiasco, anybody complaining and giving a 1 star, get a reality check as unfortunately isolated things like this happen but it sure doesn’t represent the excellence I have always got from GBM.

Email send out Christmas week informing no longer able to deliver Christmas meat when ordered months ago. I understand that there are delivery pressures but a few days notice is terrible when most butchers order books are now closed.

Cancelled my Christmas order 3 days before delivery and said it will take 3 -5 working days for a refund. Whilst I get that it was a problem with dpd and out of their hands, they knew about the problem a while ago and could have given more notice.

They cancelled my order the weekend before Christmas, not helpful when all the beef and Turkey seems to be sold out. However, I went to another online butcher I use that day, ordered the meat and had it within two days. It is now sitting in the freezer waiting for the big day.
Interestingly they use the same delivery people and seemed to have no issues getting my meat delivered in two days. Go figure.

Unable to deliver order due to postal issues. Given enough time to resolve issue hence why 5 stars. History of orders suggests this would have been excellent value and quality as in previous years.

Cancelled my order after having my money for a Christmas meat box for 6 weeks!!!
Worst part they won’t refund for 3-5 days so no money to buy another box at such short notice. Will never buy from here again and will warn others not too either.
2 mails today 1 blaming delivery and the other blaming stock??? Absolutely disgusting. You have had my order 6 weeks!!!

Excellent products and meat delivered in great condition
Shocking service
Ordered our Christmas food order back at the start of November for delivery a week today and have been told today that they are no longer able to fulfil any Christmas orders because they don’t want to let there customers down. One email states they don’t have enough stock to fulfil the order placed and the other one blames the Royal Mail. This is not acceptable as these strikes have been ongoing for months now so I expected them to have something else in place to allow for couriers being busier than usual. I now have the added stress of trying to source my Christmas food else where as it is to late to place an online order with anyone else. I’ve lost all faith in this company and will no longer use them for any of my meat deliveries.
