It’s sad that half the time I make an appointment it’s not honored. My house is not 10 minutes away. Today when I made my appointment there was no wait according to the website. Once I arrived I had t... See more

Wasted an hour with a rude hairdresser for a "0 Minute" check-in
I saw it was "0 Minute" waiting time so checked in. When I got there, there were two hairdressers each with a customer. So I sat down and waited. About 10 minutes later, one customer finished. The hairdresser did not greet me but started putting around. A few minutes later, the other hairdresser asked her a question. She then walked over and started working on the unfinished customer, enjoying the attention from the customer and the other hairdresser. 20 minutes later, I asked how much longer I needed to wait. Incredulously, she answered, "I don't know." Really? She had NO idea roughly how long it would take for a haircut? I asked her (apparently she was in charge) how many hairdressers were at work (it was about 12:50), she said one - when obviously there was the other hairdresser and another one was probably taking her lunch break). I said I needed to get back to work. She just shrugged. They then engaged in light bantering along with exaggerated examination of every strand of hair. I had no choice but to leave without getting a haircut. I can't believe the "0 minute wait" check-in turned into a complete waste of an hour (30+ minute plus commute time), with a rude hairdresser in charge.

I went and got my haircut there C today and had a young girl cutting my hair that was still in training that jacked my hair up I still have her a good tip but the older ladies who cut there should be helping young people like that not just let them do it I honestly my will never go back
Happy haircut
I’m very happy with the great haircut Shelli gave me today! She’s helping me retrain my hair to coverup a silly cowlick! 5 Stars!

Spent 10 minutes cutting my hair and washed it. After 2 minutes of drying, sent me out with wet hair. Did not even comb my hair out after wash. Disgusting service. What’s up? You gals used to be so good. $28 is way too much to charge for a 20 min service.
Checked in online
Checked in online, it informed me that I was 2nd in line so I headed over to Great Clips. Arrived and monitor told me I was 2nd in line, even though I was the only person in the waiting area. One stylist was dialoging with a young guy, being loud and super-obnoxious. All stylists were moving very slowly and the monitor ket readjusting my wait time until it topped out at 38 minutes. A family of 5 walked in and sat down. The loud stylist finished and called for the guy who just walked in. He prodded his daughter to take a seat with the stylist. All 5 were there for a haircut. I was now number 6 in line. I left. This company has a broken system.

Just had an excellent haircut at the Great Clips in Mishawaka, Indiana on Main Street. The stylist was Samantha and did a scissor cut and it was perfect. They are very kind there as well and there was no wait. Well done . . .
Went to Great clips on Friday…
Went to Great clips on Friday 08/22/2025. First time is ever been there.. Was going to get it cut in a certain style but girl said she couldn't cut it that way my hair was too textured I spent $38 on Uber just to get to get my hair cut.. It looks nothing like the other style I wanted. Girl said she been there 9yrs? But can't cut hair in any style? The coupon said any hair style. And for her to have been there 9 yrs, and can't cut hair jus don't make no sense . It's cause I had the coupon and she just didn't wanna fool with me . I walked outta there in tears. Haven't got my hair cut in 7 yrs always up in bun. So disappointed and angry at the same time. That was just a rip off. And very bad service, and wasn't friendly with me at all!
My kids like it, I don't
3 stars because while I personally disliked my one and only experience, my sons like it. Maybe Great Clips is more suitable for male customers.

Terrible I checked in on line and they have me waiting for 3hour and when I checked the time went from 16 minutes to 30 so I canceled and booked to Supercuts it went faster and great service I won’t be booking with great clips again.
My stylist Suzy did a GREAT job.
My stylist Suzy did a GREAT job.
She listened to what I wanted done and did it. My style looks good now, and we'll see a month or so how it turns out.
Mary Hart will never go to Great Clips again.
Mary Hart
Michelle styled my hair before and did such a good job that I waited for her last Saturday. This time when I showed her this picture of how I want my hair I ended up looking like this. When I got home and took a good look at it I realized how disappointing it is. My hair was long enough for this cut so now I have to wait before I go to a really good hairdresser.
Great Clips 8720 Overland Park, KS are Ageists
8720 W. 135th Street in Overland Park, KS 66221 - If I could give 0 stars I would. - I've been a long time Great Clips customer for many years. Once in a while the online check in system goes down in a glitch. At 1:30 I tried checking in online for the the location I listed above. It stated there was an hour wait and I had no problems with that; but again, the online check in system was not working. It said walk-ins welcome. This has happened with other locations and I've never had a problem. They have always been apologetic and accommodating. At 2:30, I enter the store. No one was in there. No one in the stylist chairs and no one waiting. I have a picture on my phone that shows this location open till 5:00. They refused to accommodate me. They said they couldn't do anything for me if I did not check in online. I stated the obvious that no one was there and there are three stylists here playing on their phones in the back. I stated check me in now and we can do now or later. They then stated that they were short staffed and closing at 4:00 today instead of 5:00. They again refused to accommodate me. I started this process at 1:30 if you remember this at the beginning. Lastly, I am a middle aged man with no much hair left. It's about a 5-10 minute cut. This was by far one of the worst customer experiences I have ever experienced in my 55 years. Bottom line here is that no one at this location wanted to work. They don't want to work and just collect their hourly pay. The work ethic and morals I experienced today at this particular location is beyond poor; it's pathetic. Any business that makes excuses, lies, and speaks down to people who just want a simple haircut doesn't deserve to be in business and those types of people don't deserve jobs!
One of the worst hair cuts I have ever…
One of the worst hair cuts I have ever received. Since the whole beauty shop was waiting on the manager to cut their hair, I told the manager if she could direct one of her people on how to cut my hair I would give them a chance. First of all she hurried thru the cut. Cut off a lot more than I wanted and did not even check to see if the cut was even. NEVER saw a layered undercut done the way she cut it. I can tell I will be fighting with my hair the next 2 months until I get my hair cut again. Plus, when I got home there was one obvious spot of hair in the back that was longer than the rest. So I had to even it out myself.
Although, you can get a good price on hair cuts at Great Clips I am going to look for another shop. I will definitely pay more to get a quality hair cut where I can make an appointment.

The stylist did not listen to my intentions on my trimming and cut off way too much from my instructions. I left before she was done.
She just cut way too short and now I'll have to go months to grow it back.
I will not go back
My recent visit to the Great Clips on…
My recent visit to the Great Clips on Bankhead Hwy in Carrollton, GA, was nothing short of a complete disaster and an utterly disrespectful experience. I brought my biracial grandson in for a haircut, specifically requesting a "taper fade," a style explicitly shown on the Great Clips corporate website as an offered service.
To my shock and dismay, the stylist I initially encountered was incredibly rude and dismissive. She repeatedly and curtly informed me that "they were not barbers, but cosmetologists," despite the fact that "taper fade" is a standard haircut widely offered by salons and, again, prominently displayed on the Great Clips website. When I pointed out that the website clearly shows this cut, she retorted that "the website comes from corporate and she could not do a taper fade." This is utterly unacceptable. If a service is advertised on your official website, your stylists should be trained and capable of performing it.
Her demeanor was beyond disrespectful. Instead of attempting to find a solution or explain the situation professionally, she became increasingly agitated, then rudely walked away, only to return with another stylist to cut my grandson's hair. The entire interaction was demeaning and left me feeling utterly disgusted.
This experience highlights a severe disconnect between what Great Clips advertises and what this particular location is willing or able to deliver. If the Bankhead Hwy Carrollton GA location cannot perform haircuts listed on the corporate website, then those pictures should be removed, as they are clearly misleading.
The initial stylist's behavior was completely unprofessional and demonstrated a severe lack of customer service skills. She is in desperate need of additional training on how to interact with customers respectfully and how to manage expectations when a requested service may not be available or within their skillset. This level of disrespect is completely unacceptable in any service industry.
I strongly advise anyone considering a haircut at this Great Clips location to go elsewhere. The misleading advertising and the rude, untrained staff make this a truly terrible place for a haircut. Save yourself the frustration and find a salon that actually values its customers and delivers on its advertised services.
Absolutely Devastated by My Haircut…
Absolutely Devastated by My Haircut Experience
I’ve been to this Great Clips location several times before and had decent experiences, but my most recent visit was a complete nightmare. I came in requesting a long inverted bob — a cut I’ve had done here in the past — and I made it very clear to the stylist that I do not like short hair. I even emphasized that short hair makes me uncomfortable, that I wouldn’t know what to do with it, and that I would cry if it was cut too short. I showed him a photo, explained that I needed the front to stay longer, and reminded him that my naturally curly hair shrinks when dry. He acknowledged all of this — and then proceeded to ignore everything I said.
He made the first cut, which was already shorter than I wanted. I was surprised and told him not to go any shorter. Despite this, he kept cutting. By the end, my hair — which was previously past my shoulders — was hacked into something completely unrecognizable. The back is maybe two inches long, and the front barely reaches my ears. It’s the worst haircut I’ve ever received in my life.
To make matters worse, I reached out to Great Clips customer service, who told me the franchise owner would contact me. It’s been over a week, and I haven’t heard a single word. I can't even tie my hair back to hide it — I’m genuinely embarrassed to leave the house.
I would never recommend this location — or any Great Clips — to anyone who values being listened to, respected, or walking away with a haircut that doesn't make you cry. This experience has left me humiliated and deeply disappointed.
Great Clips
Great Clips, 1680 Washington Rd Ste 2, Pittsburgh, PA 15241 I am extremely pleased with the haircut I received at this location, which I consider to be the best I have received in the US to date. The service was affordable, and the scalp massage provided during the hair wash was a wonderful bonus. I will certainly be returning to this salon.
Extremely Rude Stylist at GreatClips Mansfield TX
Just got a haircut from this location and I’m honestly shocked at how disrespectful the stylist was. I came in with a smile, I just wanted a basic cut, and from the second I walked in, the energy was off.
The woman cutting my hair (Didn’t catch her name) had an attitude for no reason. She asked when I last came in, I said “about a month ago.” She checks the system and immediately goes, “It says a month and a half ago. You said one month,” in this condescending tone like she caught me lying. Like… really? Who cares?
Then she asks if I want to trim the beard, and I misheard her because her accent was thick — and instead of calmly repeating herself, she snaps, “NO, that’s not what I said!” Like I’m bothering her by existing. At this point I’m sitting there thinking, what did I do to this lady?
Then when I politely ask if she can cut the sides shorter, she gets defensive again and hits me with the, “I asked you in the beginning what you wanted and you said you wanted your cut like last time” I was stunned. I even asked her, “Is that a problem?” She just coldly says “no” and keeps cutting like she was forced to be there.
The whole time, her attitude was just nasty. I promise you, I was not being a Karen, this was completely unnecessary, IDK what I did to this woman. Very snarky and obnoxious. Not one smile. No sense of professionalism. Just cold, rude, and irritated by everything. And the worst part? The haircut was AWFUL. Uneven, rushed, and not at all what I asked for. I didn’t even bother asking her to fix it. I just wanted to get out of the chair and leave.
If this is the kind of experience you get here, I’ll never be back. Great Clips seriously needs to screen who they’re hiring. There’s no reason for a paying customer to be treated like an inconvenience. Absolutely unacceptable. Honestly, I want my money back.
Mira Mesa location
I went to the Great Clips location on Mira Mesa blvd. I am a Black Caregiver I took my client to get her hair done. The lady looked at me and I knew it was a problem. I ask her for a bob cut that has the name bixie cut on the website. She says I don't know what your talking about we denying service because your aggressive. Text book racist comment when you just don't want my kind in your store. I kindly left and came to the Scripps ranch location and my client and I were welcomed and serviced. I could have caused a scene but it won't stop businesses from being racist. Instead im letting the world know this location is only for certain people so no one else has to walk out a business crying feeling less than human. I told the lady at the location that served us what happened and she started to tear up. Im so grateful someone cared. My first and last experience at a great clips.
Overcharged
Well, I went to this business for an undercut, now I did not have much to cut it was already very short just needed it to be clean up. Now after I was done went to paid and stylist told me $20, and I was like what $20 for something that should have been $8. Oh I was pissed. So I thought to call customer service and this person had the audacity to for hair cut is $20, and I like lady it was an undercut and barely any hair to begin with. I felt so angry 😡 that I want to tell my story about being over charged for something so very Very short and should have been just $8 for. I never NEVER to do business with them again. Today was 1st and the last for me.
