Disgrace.

This radio station in my opinion is a total scam. They reckon to have a competition where you text in a number and write cash , then ask for a minimum of £2.50 to be entered where the draw will end in the Friday of that week, Ken Bruce says all you have to do is answer your your phone, and the winner would be paid £650, 000. Never hear of any winners, and when I googled this competition it stated they had never had a competition this week. W/E Friday yeah21/11/25. RIP OFF. Take them off the air.

We love listening to the music you play, love Ken Bruce and popmaster. But the large winning payouts on Fridays, would be better shared by more people instead of just one person. You give away £600,000 at moment why not share it with more winners, still life changing amounts. Thank-you.

I moved to GHR when Ken Bruce jumped ship, and to avoid the Ads paid for Premium. Having had time to listen, it is clear GHR doesn’t have the calibre of presenters, I like Ken, and Simon Mayo’s album show is superb. However, I have cancelled Premium due to the repetitive nature of music, selling their phone in comp is extremely frustrating. It hasn’t been on in my car due to the length of the Ads. GHR really need to look at their strategy going forward.

Repetitive !

Awful, nauseating station (especially during the daytime) and one to approach with caution if you have mental health issues but ok if you have a memory of a Goldfish.

The same repetitive ads getting played over and over again - That womans voice on the Tesco ads irritates me, especially when you hear take a gob-full of whatever food she is advertising and carries on talking with the food in her gob - Awful !

All the 'unwanted gold' and the 'gamble responsibly' ads wind me up as well.

Endless jingles - my worst one being 'Download the Rayo app' which gets on my wick.

Most of the presenters are boring or annoying or both -

Kate Thornton needs to find another job (ideally not on radio) as I find her extremely irritating - She thinks she is clever and funny but fails at both.

Ken Bruce (the 'Ken Barlow' of radio) is an utter bore-fest and the only good thing about him is Popmaster.

Simon Mayo and his also boring/unfunny entourage are about as entertaining as a dull, wet Monday morning in Doncaster and what is the obsession with Sylvester's 'You Make Me Feel (Mighty Real)' as he seems to play it most days of the week (??)

Martin Kemp talks to you like you're a bit simple and can be predictable and repetitive with him consistently saying 'I've gorra great 80s mixtape cammin' right ap an yar ganna laaarve it'.

The only presenters I can tolerate are Andy Crane in the evening with his 'Top 10 At 10' slot and Jackie Brambles who sometimes has some interesting guests interviewed on her show.

The station also needs to realise artists like ELO, Bob Marley, The Police, U2, Queen, Dire Straits, Rose Royce, The Bee Gees, Sister Sledge, Chic, Bruce Springsteen, T-Rex, The Jacksons, Lionel Ritchie, Paul McCartney, Stevie Wonder, Elton John, Whitney Houston, Wham and Madonna had other hits besides the same 2 or 3 they keep playing.

This station also seems obsessed with ABBA (whose music I utterly detest) - You can guarantee at least one ABBA song every hour.

And you can guarantee you will hear 'Don't You Want Me ?', 'Come On Eileen', 'Layla', 'Brown Eyed Girl', 'Ain't No Stoppin' Us Now' and the truly vile 'I Wanna Dance With Somebody Who Loves Me' get played every single day of the week,

There is definitely room for improvement but nothing will change as it is all about making money rather than keeping people entertained with a wide range of music.

The ads are terrible and getting more and more woke by the day, as with the whole station (especially pushing child vaccines 🤯), but my main bugbear are the newsss reportersss essspecially the sssnake impersssonator Dan Davisssss!!! I have to turn the news down when that pillock comes on. I’m a great believer in live and let live, but what’s with the ‘vocal indicator badge’ you hear more and more these days??? Apart from the Simon Mayo and Ken Bruce shows this station is repetitive, cringeworthy and for lottery addicts (for lottery - read - we (Rayo) take the majority of the money for our profits).

Are they forcing you to pay to have a stable signal?

Getting frequent periods of gobbledygook on Greatest Hits Radio Norfolk and North Suffolk. I listen through my Amazon Echo using the Rayo Skill. Connection is via wifi and there's no oroblem with that, but this has happened whilst listening in my car too via DAB. I don't pay to remove ads but haven't had a problem until the last month or so.

Have they given away so much money that they can't afford decent antennas now or are they forcing you to pay to get a stable signal? Either way, I'm back to listening to BBC Radio (no ads).

Way too many adverts and talking

Way too many adverts and too much stalling for time to avoid playing music.
Sick to death of hearing about that competition to win over 500 grand, it's more like a gambling station than one that plays music.
Nobody cares about what school teachers strangers used to have. Sick of that confession story thing, that is probably all lies anyway and people phoning in to rename song titles.
Anything to stall for time so they don't have to play much music.
If I had a more modern radio in my car greatest hits would be long gone.
Even worse than all the above though are the adverts, some of which need to come with a mental health warning, as they are so repetitive, that they could easily drive a sane person crazy.
That Trade Centre UK advert with that stupid old fashioned voice should be banned before it damages people's mental health.
UPDATE:
I've removed Greatest Hits Manchester from my car radio and our radio in work now.
