Excellent trip, lovely hotel. Carnival a bit naff, but we knew that before we went
Excellent holiday. Journey outward was delayed by over 2 hours due to a broken down train but no fault of Great Rail otherwise a great time. Extra mention for Sean who did a wonderful job.
Loved the journey, the hotel was brilliant. Local cafes/ restaurants were many, varied and friendly. The small group size and carnival were just right.
Very elegant, beautiful area for a holiday.

Well organised, superb hotel (Westminster Hotel, Nice) and tour guide excellent. One slight disappointment was travelling back on the TGV for 6 hours our allocated seat had no window as blocked by steel plate. We appreciate it must be difficult to ensure all the party have good seats. For us the train journey is a large part of our holiday. We ended up standing in the buffet car forenable us to look out of the window to enjoy scenery
Brilliant great carnival and trips
A great week travelling by train from St Pancras to Paris north then the TGV from Paris south to Nice, went to the carnival this was amazing such a lovely place lovely walks in the old town and along to seafront also visited Monaco and the casino highly recommend
Something out of the ordinary.an experience nt to be missed
This was a lovely holiday. If you don't like flying then the Eurostar/TVR experience is for you. Lovely hotel on the seafront in Nice with first class breakfast. Interesting trips and lots of free time to do your own thing. Highly recommended.
A great trip with a great leader. My first ever escorted tour. Nice hotel right on the Promenade des Anglais. The carnavale was spectacular.
To see it live was an out of this world experience. A must visit.
The holiday fully matched our expectations. Both rail journeys went smoothly. Sarah, our guide, was extremely helpful and always there to ensure everything went according to plan. Nice is a lovely city and the carnival was superb, with fine weather provided! We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
The tour “did what it said on the tin” The balance of tour trip time and free time was just right and the Tour Manager, Sarah, made sure we got the most out of the trips without regimenting us! We especially enjoyed her recommendation of a visit to the Negresco hotel. The local guide Nicole was charming and very knowledgable. The UK staff were exceptionally helpful when I contacted them - above and beyond.

A great carnival and the fireworks afterwards were superb.
An excellent short break in Nice & Monaco. The carnival was brilliant with grandstand reserved seats. Good balance of excursions & free time. The hotel was good with excellent breakfasts & the included restaurant meals very good. We were a small group which was ideal for the local guide - clear & informative. Carol, our Great Rail guide lead the group effecively & efficiently. Our luggage was collected from home & in our room on arrival. Safely returned, arriving today. The rail journeys all ran smoothly & to time.
