Excellent Hotel and the Carnival is always worth seeing
Excellent tour manage Karen. Very good hotel with friendly staff. Good location. The highlights of the holiday were the Carnival and a visit to Monaco.
We had a great trip. Our tour manager was superb, very friendly and very well researched . Nice Carnival was amazing and on a free day we took the train to Menton to see the Lemon festival sculptures and activities. Trips to Monaco, Monte Carlo and around Nice, were with an excellent local guide. The Hotel Westminster, right on the Promenade des Anglais, was great. Breakfasts and a dinner very good. Would definitely recommend.
This is a good holiday with interesting tours. The drawback for us was the length of travel to reach Nice. Even though the train travel was with premium seats it was over 13 hrs from London to arriving at the hotel. Had we realised we would have opted for flying direct to Nice from a regional airport, which would have been a few hours in total and would also have meant we didn't have travel to London and stay a night either side of the trip, which added significantly to the overall cost of the holiday. While the hotel was in a lovely location, for the cost of the holiday we were a tad disappointed with the room.
Very well organised tour with a lot packed in to the week, including some free time to explore. Excellent tour manager. Good value. Highly recommended.
Fabulous trip to Nice staying in the Westminster Hotel. The train journey was long but the trains all ran to time. The Tour Manager, Karen, was excellent. The Carnival was spectacular and well worth seeing. Our free time was well planned, although the trip to Grasse on a Sunday wasn't so good as everywhere apart from the perfumery and one cafe was closed. Overall we can thoroughly recommend this trip.
Score of 3.5 good tour but badly let down by the quality of the included evening meals
A wonderful winter 'get away'. The hotel was in a wonderful position overlooking the blue sea and the weather was perfect. The excursions were very interesting to the perfumery and Monte Carlo.
I was not at all interested in the Carnival. I did not go to the evening performance as it was very cold, very noisy and crowded.

Brilliant trip
The trip was executed exactly as advertised, the tour guide was excellent and the weather was exceptional: six continuous sunny days in February! The Hotel Westminster was a first class choice of accomodation too.
A well organised and enjoyable small group experience, with the high point being the last night of the Nice Carnaval from good grandstand seats. Unforgettable.
