Very tiring holiday! Too many changes of trains and railway stations especially with baggage to lift on and off trains. Hotel was ok but very remote. Nothing around the hotel at all! The hill up to the station was steep. No choice of food at the hotel either. Not much time to rest and relax between getting back to hotel and dinner being served at 7pm. The best part of holiday was the fabulous scenery, the glacier and bernina express. Otherwise very tiring. Wish we had had the breakdown of the itinerary earlier and we would have realised just what to expect.

We thought the hotel was excellent with a lovely menu, the staff were exceptional. It was really good having packed lunches. Our Tour manager Peter Cononley was excellent , managing the rather large group with humour. He was exceptionally helpful accredit to the company. Personally we would have preferred a smaller group.

A very well organised and interesting itinerary, our tour manager Peter was excellent. We had a fantastic holiday with a great group of people! We were a bit concerned about the size of the group but it all went smoothly so no complaints there! The hotel in Teifencastel was very good, well situated, and good food, our packed lunches were also very enjoyable! We have fantastic memories and great photos!

Although the experience on the express was a little disappointing its because we didnt go on it first of all . I found the experience on the normal connecting trains more exciting as i could take pictures through open windows . But that's what I enjoy doing . Loved the museum , that was really good had time to chat to the guy who spent 40 years making his model . Tina our guide was really good and looked after us really well . Only real criticism, was that we didn't quite have enough time at the destinations , thats a time table thing really and probably cant be changed

Brilliant holiday despite some wet weather. Hotels, meals and organisation were spot on. Our your guide was knowledgeable, very friendly and insured every day went smoothly, organising all 40 if us without a problem. Both the Glacier and Bernina express journeys took us through stunning scenery . Our pre trip info was sent at appropriate times. Would highly recommend this trip and Great Rail Journeys company.

We had a fabulous time, apart from facilities not being open. Cable cars closed, bear sanctuary closed. Fenicular closed. Also we think it would be better to split the bernina and glacier express two days apart rather than having them on two consecutive days.

Would highly recommend this tour, every day a new experience, and everyday a different train journey, well organised, great fellow travellers and tour guide, Richy, kept everyone informed of what was expected, with enough free time on offer. All inclusive, including packed lunch and drinks saved carrying money and credit/debit card use. Weather, end of May was also perfect, and not too crowded.
