Really good holiday. Well organised. The office team were very helpful with the booking & then sending further updates as needed. The tour guide Kay was extremely helpful with ideas of where to go on the free days & ensuring we were all informed of the planned trips out. One thing though, whilst most of us could get on & off trains individually without needing help.Getting 26 people off & on the trains in a timely way is another matter. Maybe if the station staff were aware that a group was on the train it might help? But great holiday all round.

good holiday, excellent tour manager Chris, good balance of organised trips and free time, hotels and transport all good, hotel in desenzano quite a walk from the lake side, this wasn't a problem for us but could be for less mobile people, but there was a local bus available. Local guides on excursions excellent

Disappointing. Loved lake Garda but hated the chaotic travel & transfers of the trip. Accommodation adequate. Meals mostly underwhelming. Scheduled itinerary amended so only 3 HOURS in Venice, in addition to several other short notice amendments to excursions that were equally as disappointing. We don’t recommend this trip

Lovely hotels and a good combination of free time and organised tours. Unfortunately we suffered two trains breaking down which rather upset itineraries. Made the journey home a nightmare. These tours are also reliant on a good tour manager.

Well organised trip from start to finish, company coped well with unexpected situations e.g. Italian rail strike on our outward journey. We had an excellent sized group anything above 20 would have been difficult. Good hotels. Balance of organised activities and free time was good. Venice guide was excellent. Francesca our tour guide was excellent. Calm under pressure. WhatsApp group worked brilliantly. Notes to highlight: Advise to take a medium sized case...or less if possible for handling and storage space on the train! Emphasise the VERY high steps on some of the European trains! (Not easy if you have short legs!!) A very special trip. Thank you

Very well organised trip making use of a lovely traditional hotel in Desenzano. Francesca, the tour leader, was very professional and kept everyone on track with thorough organisation and calmness.

Absolutely perfect, tour guide from the off- Jennifer, who was wonderful, Fabulous hotel, great location, staff were lovely. Trips were fantastic especially Isola del Garda! I will definitely be booking GRJ again!

Overall, excellent. Jennifer particularly good. Minor niggles re hotel - menu not suited to hot weather, trip hazard to bathroom, unable to open shower door with bath mat on floor - but otherwise superb in all aspects except its location. The climb back up 1/2 a mile of steepish hill after a tiring day detracted from the otherwise excellent days out.

We had a great holiday and our group were very friendly. Our guide Jen was very helpful and sent us lots of information. The organised trips were well organised and we especially enjoyed Venice. The private boat and local guide made it special.

Hard work getting on and off of the trains with luggage. The hotel was not well situated, at the top of the hill. Food was very basic and no vegetables at all. This holiday was graded as a 2 which meant you had to be able to walk on various terrains for between 30-45 minutes but unfortunately some of the tours were much longer than that! Very disappointing all in all.

This holiday was simply perfect. From leaving St Pancras by train via interesting Turin to arriving in beautiful Desenzano. The excursions were well organised and very interesting. The days in between allowed us to explore other places by bus (in our case) The tour guide was friendly and professional and went above and beyond to help us. The food in Hotel Desenzano was lovely and the group were like old friends by the end of the week. We did not want to come home. Would definitely go again
