The Hotel Les Roches was great, good linen, fresh towels daily, very good breakfast and owners exceptionally friendly and helpful. Restaurant good but the journey there and back was gruelling due to people using our coach to put luggage leaving us no space. Also there wasn’t a coach Paris south to go to Paris north so Michael had to put us in taxis. He was remarkable in sorting things. No complaints there. Perhaps as mostly elderly make a stop (although I don’t like the place) in Paris then continue as it’s a very long day both ways.
Very good holiday, tour manager excellent. Holiday last 1 star because our journey was very arduous from the north Midlands. We had not anticipated such an early departure from London. However we endured and enjoyed experience.
A very lovely part of France, and a good hotel with friendly staff. The trips to various scenic villages were well organised, and allowed us to explore the area. However the journey between London and the hotel was quite tiring.
The travel our your manager were superb. The hotel was poor with no food at all and basic. The hour on the river half hour one way then return boring and pointless. The train journey by a steam train.same again half an hour there and the same back. Travelling in what can only describe as cattle trucks. The village we stayed in had no bus servis or car hire facility. With a station a good mile to walk to. Who ever designed this tour was a cretin.
Exhausting journey. Caves and scenery magnificent. Rep and excursions very good.
What a beautiful part of the world. Our first time here and it definitely won't be the last. Unspoilt countryside, charming castles & chateaus and lovely villages & towns. The people were very approachable and friendly and even the motorists were extremely considerate, which made a nice change. I'd definitely recommend it.
Destination, hotel and excursions were great. 4 stars. The food that was served at restaurant was substandard. No choice of dishes. 1star

A delightful experience despite the tiring journey to get there. Jeff was a great guide.

The countryside where we stayed was beautiful and arriving was a pleasurable event.

Lovely hotel, excellent tour manager, interesting visits to villages and chateau. Restaurants 0K but not outstanding. Good for elders, like ourselves.

The Dordogne was everything I expected & more. GRJ are a very well organised tour company & our tour manager Alistair was exceptional, everything was meticulously planned & we were in good hands throughout. This is a very well balanced trip with some lovely excursions & just enough free time. I can definitely recommend this holiday, however I would recommend you take advantage of the courier baggage service if you can!

Met some lovely people and understand that Eurostar delay was not due to GRJ but can only give it a 1 star review, due to the appalling and traumatic outward journey that took 18 .5 hours from meeting the guide at St Pancras to arriving in the resort, including nearly 3 hours in a stifling Gare de Lyon whilst efforts were made to locate the coach and 8 hours on a double decker coach that was leaking water through the air conditioning onto the seats and with jagged glass sticking out of and tape on the window where we were sitting. Was just glad to arrive in one piece. Food in selected restaurant very poor - no choice and served each night on chipped plates. Could not understand why the trip to Rocamadour was scheduled for a Sunday when it was busy with pilgrims. Similarly the trip to Sarlat was organised for a day when there was a once in 30 year festival rather than the market so we opted out and went on our own steam on a day when it was less busy. Sadly the holiday fell far short of expectations - the 1 star is for the lovely people we met. Alison B

Appalling traumatic journey from Paris to Dordogne.

Loved the Dordogne, the hotel was lovely and so were the excursions. The journeys to and from were not so good with delays and cancellations making it a very long and at times stressful journey
