The after sales service has been a great experience. The problem that I experienced with the app has been resolved and everything is running as expected.

A sad day

So sorry to receive the news of Greens demise today . I can only speak from my experience when I say I have not had any problems since joining green 2 years ago and bringing my gas over in January this year

A mere 3 weeks ago I nearly transferred from green due to the price rises (no fault of greens may I add) but the coo contacted myself and arranged to put me on a recently expired fixed tariff which would have saved me a few pounds over the next twelve months. Really appreciated that offer . Green even installed smart meters within a week of me asking for them

I now await transfer to a big 6 company which I am not looking forward to. The Demise of small energy companies will only benefit the large companies

I wish all staff the best and hope they find suitable alternative employment

Hopefully some small companies will survive as an energy market with just the big 6 will not benefit any consumers

Thanks again green and farewell

Sloppy Service

I had been a customer since March this year. I have submitted meter readings as well as the company taking ones from the smart meter. I have had a large Direct Debit taken every month. Despite chasing and chasing after 6 months still no bill has been sent. Now they are insolvent I am unsure how much I am owed by them.

Sorry to see Green go

I am so sorry about the demise of Green. Have been with them since the start and they have been excellent. Faultless customer service. Good prices, they were able to use my smart meter from a previous supplier. They have been the best utility I've had and not looking forward to going back to the big 6. The government could have bailed them out with loans. Instead they will support the big 6 and we'll all be paying for that. These are British companies that have worked hard to get established. They deserve support not being left to go to the wall.

Can't imagine this facility is still operating, however would hope some limited staff may remain to handle customer queries. Sorry for adding to the workload here.
Just wanted to say the customer service with Green has been second to none during my time with the company. Will be sad to be moved over to a big 6 (I bet it'll be SP). All your staff should be proud of the service they have delivered, and I know many companies will be eager to have people of the calibre I've encountered with Green.
All the best!!

Great company, sorry to see them go.

Great company, never had an issue with them, sorry to see them go!

Saddened by the usual vocal minority crying about their customer service experience over the last week - the company is in difficulties - course its going to take ages to speak to someone.

Sorry to see you go

My experience was faultless and I'll be sorry to see you go. Yes, the tariff did increase on a few occasions but was always competitive. In any case I'd have signed up for a fixed tariff if that had bothered me. I wish you all well for the future.

Good news....

Good news....
They have gone bust, all of their customers can rejoice. This could not have happened to a more deserving company, the sad thing is the directors will have lined their pockets before making a quick exit and leaving Ofgem to pick up the pieces.

Just heard this company has gone under

Just heard this company has gone under. I have been a customer for five months and they still did not manage to bill me correctly from joining. I have an economy 7 meter and now they have managed to transpose the day and night figures. Hopelesss customer service and I was about to call it a day, looks like the decision has been made for me.

Customer Service turns me Green

Took over the supply for my Glasgow flat when my tenants left in July. My tenants had switched the energy supply to Green. There was no contact from Green and I had to make contact with them when they objected to my switch to EDF. I then had to pay £100.40 to Green before they would allow me to switch. That might seem reasonable except that the flat was empty and very little energy was used during the summer. When I checked the bill I noticed that they had calculated my bill based on estimated readings the day before my tenants left. The actual readings supplied by my tenants were also recorded on the bill on the day they left, but these readings hadn't been used to calculate my bill. I contacted Green and supplied photographs of the meters taken when my tenants left but 2 weeks later still no adjusted bill. My switch has now gone through so I hope that I will never have to deal with Green again.

Fantastic service by Green

Fantastic service by Green, have been constantly updated, the app is easy to use too. Particularly like the live chat, not having to wait on the end of the phone to get through and my query was dealt with promptly by Kayla, would definitely recommend.

Avoid variable rate

Joined on a variable tariff deal and it went up 3 times in 6 months. I’m now paying double the amount I signed up for. I’ve left green and joined a different supplier, I wouldn’t ever take out a variable rate contract again. Also no response from customer services when I queried my monthly bill changing.

Call in early or really late.

If you're trying to contact a human to resolve your issue, I recommend you call in between 7-8am or 9-11pm.

It is near impossible to connect during normal hours otherwise. Hope this helps other people. Fingers crossed for you!

Your instant chat on line is an absolute failure, the response times vary from 3 hours to 12 hours and when it comes it’s answered with a question!! I spent three days trying to discuss my direct debit to NO avail. I am unimpressed.

appalling customer service

Absolutely appalling customer service. There is no consistency at all, you are told different things by different people as they clearly don’t read the conversation thread. Unfortunately nothing is ever resolved. Better to stay with a known brand. I’ve never had issues like this. Just horrendous.

This firm is absolutely hopeless

This firm is absolutely hopeless and I wished I'd never switched.
The person who lived in the house before us, didn't understand the meter had 2 rates and had provided incorrect readings.
When switching, Green decided her readings were correct (even though Eon eventually billed me with my correct readings).
Speaking to them via chat, have been told they can't adjust their system to my correct readings, as the 'system won't allow it'.
I've put in a complaint but had no response and not had any bills either. I've even sent photos of the meter, but to no avail. They keep taking the money every month though!
To top it off, I've had an email asking me to sign their petition to keep them in business... Err, I don't think so.
Just avoid this company and go elsewhere.
