I bought a battery for my Acer Spin3. The original battery gave 8 hours. When it needed replacing, 2.5h. The Greencell battery lasted not even 3 hours.
Very poor quality. Bought it from conrad.ch, and will send it back.
I see a lot of one star reviews. Greencell should do something about that.

I bought a Green Cell HT03XL replacement battery for my HP laptop in April 2025.
After a short time, the battery started draining very quickly and caused serious system instability — frequent blue screens and even data corruption on my hard drive.

After switching back to the original HP battery, everything worked fine again.
Sadly, this product damaged my system and cost me a lot of time.
I also noticed that the original Amazon product page has since been removed, which says a lot.

Not recommended — poor quality control.

Bought a battery for my laptop (via eBay) from Green Cell on 30 Sept 24, by May 25 it had died! As it appeared to have a 12 month warranty I contacted Customer Services who palmed me off with an excuse about me not having an invoice even though I sent details of my eBay and PayPal transactions. I even sent photographs of the battery and the box it came as well as the posting bag which had their own company logo on it. The unhelpful company lady didn't want to know and after I sent 3 emails with varoius items of proof, she ignored me. So in my opinion this is a poor company, producing shoddy goods with NO Customer Service. They don't even deserve 1 star! Prospective future customers beware!

Perhaps this is no longer relevant. Perhaps the company has changed. So this review is for 2007. Why that date? Because that is the manufacture date of a toy I brought. Ironman interactive action figure to be precise. I brought it way back when for when my sister visited with her kiddos. Alas, that didn't happen, but other siblings had kids since then, and ironman served loyally all that time. Taking abuse and being loved by children who probably didn't understand the concept of respect for other peoples stuff.

Anyway. It finally died. 18 years later. And to my surprise, it wasn't the batteries that failed, but poor old ironman himself. I've always been in awe of its battery life. And now I'm sad that our local shops dont stock this brand. Because, damn, what a PR move. After that, I'd buy them and only them if they were aviliable commerically.

Sur le site, il était clairement indiqué que la batterie est compatible avec mon modèle, mais en recevant le produit, j'ai découvert que le connecteur n'est pas le bon. J'ai essayé de téléphoner et d'envoyer plusieurs e-mails, mais je n'ai reçu aucune réponse. À éviter complètement. Aucun service après-vente et impossible de les joindre.
I bought a battery for my Asus Zenbook UX430UA laptop. On the website, it was clearly stated that the battery is compatible with my model, but upon receiving the product, I discovered that the connector is not the right one. I tried calling and sending several emails, but I received no response. Completely avoid them. There is no after-sales service, and it's impossible to reach them.

Purchased a replacement laptop battery from a now defunct seller that was to replace a HP 9470m battery.

Battery was shipped from UK to Ireland and when arrived was branded Green Cell which are on eBay and Amazon in droves. These are a VERY cheap and poor quality battery made from low cost reconditioned lithium cells.

The battery cost 70 euro all in and only lasted a bear 12 months. Bought in Sep 2023 and began losing its charging capacity after several months and would take a long time to charge via original adapter.

The battery started to swell while laptop was using battery alone for power and when opened one cell was completely swollen and almost burning and a second one not far behind. I have since sourced a replacement OEM battery from Netherlands that is same price but a Korean/Japanese brand replacement. These batteries are highly dangerous if swollen and could explode or cause injury/fire if not noticed. Only the laptop shut off during use that it gave cause for concern.

Green Cell are very poor quality made in PRC from cheap cell technology and not able to withstand the demand of a medium range device such as a laptop. I understand they even make car batteries which is ridiculous to even consider putting one in a car let alone a 13 year old laptop.

The UK warehouse has apparently closed, and the website would not let me order for delivery to the UK. However the customer services representative was able to confirm a suitable battery for my Dad's old laptop and arrange everything for me. Exchanging emails they arranged an invoice via PayPal, once paid the item arrived after about a week (inline with estimated delivery) and most importantly, in time for Xmas.

Battery arrived in good condition and looked well made. In 6 months the cells have swelled and it is now dangerous. Fortunately I kept the OEM Apple battery. Not recommended!

I bought HP184 battery but its capacity was 20% less than advertised/designed. Battery capacity was measured by Windows battery report after few full charging cycles. I contacted Green Cell and they changed the battery to a new one. However the capacity of the second one was also as bad as previous one. They changed also second one, but third one wasn't any better. So the capacities of all 3 batteries were 20% less than advertised/designed. I asked if they would like to give me discount if I accept smaller capacity but they didn't accept this. Probably Green Cell batteries are just rebranded bad quality batteries.

BEWARE ...They advertise on the packaging and on their website that they use quality Samsung cells however after opening up the plastic casing the cells inside were of an inferior quality and definitely not made by Samsung !

I've placed an order for a charger for my old Lenovo laptop, but after completing the payment, I refreshed the page by mistake and the order wasn't places even though I paid the money.
I called and emailed customer support and they fixed everything within one hour and confirmed the payment and the order and sent me a tracking number.

I got a replacement battery for macbook pro. Before I placed the order, I got a promise that the battery will last for 600 cycles. It was working fine for 8-9 months and slowly started deteriorating. I now have 240 cycles on my laptop and the battery is almost equal to a dead one. It took me 15 months to get to 240 cycles, but the manufacturer do not offer guarantee after 12 months.
Very poor quality batteries, I had been seeing a lot of other small small issues with the battery since 6-7 months but did not make a big fuss thinking it wouldn't deteriorate so quick and I now feel the original mac batteries I had performed better after 7 years and shouldn't have trusted their flashy website to change out to greencell.
I would not recommend this battery and green cell brand.

No post-warranty service and no possibility of repair, low product quality

Green Cell Power Bank 20000mAh 18W for almost PLN 200 broke right after the warranty period expired - it turns out that the product is unrepairable due to the "unprofitable" repair. The company sells Chinese-made electronic waste to customers without providing post-warranty service.

This company has a easy "modus Operandi " when the goal is to sell, but whenever they have to assume responsabilities for defective low quality products (RMA's ) everything gets very complicated, and stones are put on the path. Definitely not recommendable AT ALL!!

Bought a Green Cell battery for my Olymous OM1 Mk2 through batteryempire.co.uk. It was not used much as it is one of three batteries which I rotate and kept charged at all time. The battery expended and it was difficult to get out of th camera. I have never experienced this before with all the batteries I used before. Then it will not charge. I would not buy a Green Cell battery again.

And both worked just about 1.5 years. Now the charger disconnects the laptop port all the time and the battery just charges 78%. I guess one cell is not functional. I didn't even used these items much as it was for my third laptop.
Will never buy Green Cell again.

I have a bad experience with the battery from green cell and i'm currently looking for another new one. In 2017 I bought an enlarged GreenCell battery (6600 mAh) for a several-year-old dell xps 702x and there were problems from the beginning. Mainly, it's the drastically decreasing capacity. In the beginning, two hours of work was the maximum. For a while, I thought the laptop was using a lot of power. Today it seems to me, the battery has a factory fault and I regret that I didn't return it... Actually, when charged to 100 percent and disconnected from power, it lasts about 90 seconds. For 45 seconds, it shows 100 percent charge, then drops to about 45 percent and turns off completely after another few dozen seconds. When it is reconnected to the power supply, it starts the charging process and after being boosted by a few percent, it suddenly indicates 100 percent charge. Besides, since installing battery replacement, I also had a problem with the cooling system.
I've done a system diagnosis of power and battery, driver update and everything is fine. But I have to constantly connect to the power supply :(

Quick delivery and not too pricey. However, it only charges to 86% and lasts only about 2.5 hours. There was no mention of being used battery. When looked at settings it said it's been used for 365 days before me. Quite disappointed. They should put a note that says it has been used before when buying the product.
