Zero care for customer safety

Visited a store only to watch as a really aggressive shoplifter looted whatever they wanted. Zero intervention from store staff who are clearly scared and can't risk their jobs. As a result left the store since it's clear the business isn't going to protect me from such criminals so it's unsafe to shop there.

Poor Management - Haverfordwest Store checkout supervisor

While shopping, I observed a supervisor publicly humiliating a member of staff in front of both customers and colleagues. The supervisor loudly announced that they were “going to do a role play” and stated words to the effect of “this is what you say to customers”, using the staff member as an example in a public area of the store.
The member of staff was clearly embarrassed, visibly upset, and ultimately walked away from the situation. The manner in which this was handled was entirely inappropriate and deeply uncomfortable to witness as a customer.
I was so concerned by what I had seen that I approached the kiosk to ask how to make a complaint. During that conversation, I was told the supervisor’s name and informed by a staff member that complaints are frequently made about this individual, but management do nothing about it. If this is true, it is extremely worrying.

I’ve been shopping in your Holloway…

I’ve been shopping in your Holloway store for 30 years I got stopped at the self checkout The women on there had security pull me out of the line of shoppers the lady approved the red bull scanned my vouchers and said nothing and accused me of me of not paying for a item when the receipt proved she was wrong she became rude and arrogant I will never shop in there again no sorry and they’ve got her working with customers

Dear Zanya,

Following on from your reply on this review page 5 days ago, that I would receive a reply to my case and resolve the case immediately, this has not been the case, I HAVE HAD NO REPLY FROM YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE SINCE MY ORIGINAL COMPLAINT MADE ON THE 26TH MARCH 2026.

I have rang numerous times even contacting the CEO and his response was that his team will sort this issue out immediately.

Can someone please resolve this issue and help me with it, I have suffered severe anxiety & panic attacks with constantly waiting for a response.

How long does one have to wait before people get a reply?
This is NOT good customer service.

I visited my local Morrisons store in Haverfordwest

I visited my local morrisons store in Haverfordwest this weekend, one manager on the self checkouts literally jumped on me from nowhere offering to help me, then asked if i would leave a positive review online as their store needs more good reviews he offered me a free Creme Egg if i promised to do the review. He then pulled a member of staff and made us both have a photo together. This made me very uncomfortable and I will be writing a formal complaint as this was a breach of my Data Protection rights. Clearly this manager needs training!!

Serious concerns about staff dismissal decision!

I was a loyal customer, but not after today. Choosing shoplifters over long serving managers sends a very worrying message about how you value your staff. "More reasons to shop at Morrisons" - I've just found one not to.

Wow Morrisons.. What an unbelievable reply.... NFA.... That's exactly what your manager should have received instead of being sacked... Talk about not caring what your customers think!?

Further update... Morrisons have now removed their NFA reply.... Maybe they should now remove the disciplinary sanction.

Idiots

Morrisons fired a staff member for stopping a shoplifter. This useless company does everything wrong.!!
They should thank the staff member for saving them money.!!
Morrisons = INCOMPETENT!!!
get a grip Morrisons. No wonder you are losing staff and customers hand over fist. Keep this up and you will be going bust VERY SOON.!!

Miles ahead of the other uk…

Miles ahead of the other uk supermarkets.
The delivery drivers are always very polite and tend to be English guys and girls.
They also give you bags so you don’t have the hassle of taking things out one by one.
I never use any other supermarket from now on after having bad experiences with Sainsbury’s and Tescos.

Lactose Free Cheese Pizza Topping subsituted for real cheese causes customer to become very ill

Ordered a create your own pizza from the Northampton Morrisons, with LACTIOSE FREE CHEESE due to a lactose intolerance.

DIDN'T GET LACTOSE FREE CHEESE.

THEY SUBSITUTED THE CHEESE FOR REAL CHEESE.

WITHOUT ANY WARNING THAT THEY HAD DONE THIS.

IF my wife had a major allergic reaction THIS COULD HAVE BEEN ANOTHER PRET A MANGER STORY.

IT'S BEEN 5 DAYS SINCE I'VE HEARD BACK FROM MY COMPLAINT SO NOW THOUGHT EVERYONE ELSE SHOULD KNOW ABOUT IT TOO.

BE WARNED WHEN YOU BUY SO CALLED LACTOSE FREE PIZZAS FROM MORRISONS, YOU MAY END UP AT THE DOCTORS LIKE MY WIFE DID.

UPDATE 20th April.
Just got an email from the store manager, apparently she tried to phone but that I could call her IF i wanted to discuss this more - well I don't know what number she tried but I NEVER GAVE MY NUMBER, and as for "discussing" what is basically poisioning by iuntrained staff - nope - just give me my money back for a pizza that made us ill.

ANOTHER UPDATE 20th April - this time from Morrisons CUSTOMER SERVICE.
tHEY START WITH OH WERE SO SORRY, THEN ASK A HUNDRED QUESTIONS AS TO HOW ILL, IN WHAT WAY, DID WE SEEK MEDICAL ADVICE, WHAT ELSE HAD YOU EATEN IN THE LAST 48 HOURS - BAR CODES, BEST BEFORE DATE, BATCH NUMBERS, PURCHASE DATES, BLA BLA BLA STALL STALL STALL.

Not playing this stupid game, tried escalating internally, FSA, Trading Standards Next. After that, the BBC RIP OFF BRITAIN SHOW that my couisin's.

All I wanted was the £5 cost of a pizza that made us ill refunded , but no. Most of our extended family shop there, most also with dietary needs that could lead to illness so am going to avoid them like the PLAGUE. Rude staff at Northampton anyway.

Not at all like the nice little ASDA's around the corner that will even make up a Vegan type pizza create your own even tho they no longer officially do them, and for that we always shop big at their store, Nice staff, better customer service than Morrisons.

I would score no stars if I could

I would score no stars if I could , so unhappy with them , so I made a now order this morning and my email stated it would be here by 12:43, I managed to find a number at 15:15 and phoned them ( after I had messaged via fb) got a response then nothing , so when I phoned I’m told that because the order hasn’t been picked up by the delivery driver after 90 minutes the order has been cancelled no email or anything to let me know I’ll never use Morrisons again’!!!!

Ordered gluten-free items through…

Ordered gluten-free items through Deliveroo from Morrisons. One item was cancelled mid-order. I tried to amend or cancel the order but was bounced between Morrisons and Deliveroo for over 10 minutes with neither able to help. By the time Deliveroo engaged, the rider had already left and I couldn’t cancel.
When the food arrived, multiple gluten-free products had been swapped for gluten-containing alternatives. No notification. No warning. Nothing.
This is not a minor issue. I ordered gluten-free for a reason. If I hadn’t checked every single item before eating, this could have caused serious harm to my health.
When I asked for a full refund — which seems completely reasonable given I would never have placed the order if I’d known — I was only offered partial compensation.
Terrible customer service. Dangerous substitution practice. Avoid if you have dietary requirements you can’t compromise on.
