I have really enjoyed Grove…
I have really enjoyed Grove Collaborative. I am using several of their products: laundry detergent, stain remover, trash bags, hand soaps, etc. The delivery is always fast and the products are fantastic!! I love that through their products I am helping protect our environment.

I really like the product selection and mission of Grove! Their customer service and IT departments could use sone help in troubleshooting problems; it’s been very frustrating troubleshooting my own problems with not receiving Grove emails consistently and not being able to access their mobile app. But, their lack of knowledge in these areas led me to resolving the problems on my own.

Tricks customers in subscription
The way how Grove tricks customers in subscription speaks of unethical business practices. When you create an account they mention that you will never run out of stuff with a subscription model. You would assume that you can choose to subscribe or place a regular order. But it's not the case, once you place an order, you have signed up for a subscription. And it is never mentioned to you during the check out process.
This lack of transparency seems intentional. I find it very unethical and I can't trust a company like that.
I think one day they will be sued for that. Would be similar to a law suit against Audible.

Only my second order and it winds up nowhere
Edit to my review after company contact below.
My first order was so good I placed a second order and had it shipped to my sister. The package never arrived and instead ended up at a Dollar Store somewhere in town. I contacted Grove and was told I had to retrieve the package from the Dollar Store or contact the shipper and have them send the package back to Grove so that I could get my refund.
I asked to speak to a supervisor and got "Emily" who kept answering with canned responses. Even telling me to return the product that I had. I didn't have the product, I couldn't/can't return it. It was only my second order and I can't believe that I will now have to give even more money to Amazon if I want to get my deliveries. I had "Emily" cancel account and I will wait for the refund and hope I don't have to contact the credit card company.
It's a shame because I really liked the product and would have maintained the monthly subscription gladly. But instead I will find products on Amazon since I know that at least there's actual customer service and not canned responses that have nothing to do with the problem.
I purchased a product from what I believed to be a trusted company and when the product is not received they want me to drive around town trying to find it or worse, try to get through to the shipper and have it re-routed. I can't think of any other company that's ever said they wash their hands of a purchase once it's with the shipper.
Edit: 2 days later and a different customer service rep the order was fully refunded. I didn't care for all the runaround, but don't believe most people will have a shipping issue like I did. If someone new to Grove was on the fence, I would recommend that they go ahead and sign up. The products are high quality and if you want an eco-friendly home, Grove would be a good part of that. Whether I will shop there again, probably in time, once the sting of this wears off. I've changed my 1 star review to 4, but would have preferred to give a 5 star review if they had helped me to begin with.

THE BEST PRODUCTS EVER
I have been super pleased with Grove. While there are some things I can still find cheaper at Amazon or Walmart, nobody can beat the Grove brand of cleaners. They are cost effective, clean great and smell great. Their dish soap is the only all natural soap I have ever found to rival the cleaning and grease cutting power of Dawn. Their floor cleaner leaves my floors sparkling clean with no streaks. Same with the glass cleaner. And the list goes on and on. There is a sweet personal touch added to each package sent out too, as well as a free gift each time. The only one negative I have ever found was that they charged me a yearly membership fee that I wasn't expecting and it threw my bank out of line for a few days. I didn't even know that I had to pay a yearly membership fee so it was a real surprise. But otherwise it's a great service and I am very pleased with them.

Grove products have worked wonderfully for our household. They are effective and smell wonderful.
The bamboo paper products are my favorite. The plastic free and neutral options are why I tried grove, and the efficacy is why I've stayed.

The products are great but the shipping requirement is trash
The products are great. I’ve got no complaints about the actual products. The customer service is also great. Very quick and always manage to fix the problem.
It’s the companies minimum requirement I have an issue with. When I first joined (over 5 years now I think) the value was great. The minimum you needed to spend in order to ship was like $25. Completely reasonable. But it keeps going up and up and up. At this point if you’re VIP you need to spend like $40 just to ship, and if you’re not it needs to be $50. And you’ll still be paying a shipping fee.
They say they’ve raised the minimum amount to help reduce waste, but i don’t need 40-50$ worth of product. I need 25$ worth of Product. So how is me having to purchase double helping to reduce waste? It’s a joke. This is why I’m no longer a VIP member. This is also why I haven’t placed an order in a year—it’s not worth it.
If you like the Mrs. Meyers scents, just order them from the Mrs. Meyers website (or get the standard scents from target). If you want the method scents, just get those from target. A whole lot cheaper to be buy 1 or 2 products for under $10 than have to shell out $50+
The reply from Grove is incorrect that the minimum order needs to only be $29. I tried to place an order yesterday, and I was unable to ship until I had reached over $40. I haven't been able to only order $29 worth of stuff in easily over a year.

Good customer service, terrible shipping service
When I first started Grove I had no real problems. Recently there is something wrong with their shipping. It seems they make the shipping label but the item never gets shipped. The first time they told me it was lost in the mail, no big deal it was reshipped right away, the very next order it happened again. Customer service was very responsive and polite and reissued the box again right away along with a credit to my account. It's 3 days later ( email said it will go out in 24-48 hours) and the tracking number still says it has not been picked up just like the last 2 boxes.
Reading other reviews u see this is a recurring issue. I think I'm done with Grove, I can find similar products elsewhere
