Excellent, good rates on 30 day loans

I've been investing with Growth Street for a few years now and I have nothing but praise for this plataform. It's trustworthy, has very low defaults and pays very good interest on 30 day loans. They take some beating. Excellent.

An interesting variation on many P2P platforms

An interesting variation on many P2P models, with loans restricted to a maximum of 30 days. This is largely a 'hands-off' investment - put funds into your account and loans are set up for you. Been using Growth Street for a few months now and the returns are as expected, happy so far. Funds I have put in have been invested into loans very quickly. Growth Street offer an IFISA subject of course to current ISA regulations. The website is easy to use and offers the option of regular monthly withdrawals of just interest, or both interest and capital.

As with all P2P lenders, any funds invested are not covered by FSCS (Financial Services Compensation Scheme) protection which needs to be borne in mind when deciding whether/how much to invest.

So far

So far, so good. I opened the account a couple of months ago. Everything seems, for now, very smooth, transparent and simple.

I would like to think that it is my…

I would like to think that it is my anger at being rejected that is driving my view but unfortunately it isn't. It is the explanation: a company that Growth Street work with has elevated us and given Growth Street a score which meant we didn't meet the criteria. Who this company is, they will not let us know; and yet this company claims to have the ability to evaluate our business within our industry and score us. What information they used they will not let us know. What exactly the score said they will not let us know. If you need money, do not bother with Growth Street. My favourite lie, sorry line is: We love helping businesses grow. Growing businesses can be misunderstood by traditional finance providers. We’re trying to change that - yeah, sure

Reply from Growth Street

Hi Stuart, thanks for your feedback. I’m sorry to hear you’re unhappy with your experience of applying for a GrowthLine.

We make every effort to be a responsible lender and ensure that our product is suitable for our borrowers. To support this, we work with a number of external suppliers who provide us with credit information on businesses that apply for a GrowthLine using publicly available data. Sadly, in this instance, we were unable to proceed with your application.

I’m very sorry that you don’t feel like you got enough information about why we couldn’t move forward, and your feedback has been heard across the business.

I’m sure you will understand, we can’t go into the specifics of your case in public, however I will be in touch soon to speak with you in more detail about the situation.

Thanks for taking the time to bring this matter to our attention.

Kind regards,
Julie Ashmore
Commercial Director

Pleased after a few months experience

After a few months experience I am very pleased with my investment through Growth Street. It is good that risk is spread across all loans which makes it worthwhile. The bonuses for new and added investment is a nice plus too.

Simple and works well

Simple and works well compared to other p2p companies.
I have been invested for two years and had no problems.
Just trying out their recent ISA which hopefully is just as good.

Very transparent on how your money is…

Very transparent on how your money is invested and more important if you want to withdraw, its very straight forward. I've invested quite a lot on other platforms but this is one of the best. I've tested my withdrawals many times to ensure that there is no default or procedural bottle-necks and each time its been perfect.

Excellent savings product

Great savings product - you deposit your money and can forget about it. Or you can log in every day to see your interest grow. Very hands off, with great returns and if I need my money I can withdraw in 30 days. Would recommend to anyone

Pain free P2P investing with a solid cashback offer for new investors

Pain free P2P investing so far. I've been investing here 3-months and returns are the advertised 5.3%, I use the auto-invest mode so there is no hassle. This is one of the simpler P2P platforms to use. When I invested there was a 10% cashback offer on a £2k investment (£200), cashback payable after 12 months investing - I think the offer is still open.

I have invested a decent amount and…

I have invested a decent amount and later met the team at their open evening. The website does not do justice to the risk management etc. Seems like a good product for borrowers and a reasonable return for lenders. Just wish the interest rate were higher.
