I rented a fully equipped Toyota Land Cruiser with a rooftop tent from GSS Car Rental in Tbilisi for 15 days in May, and it was one of the best travel decisions I have ever made.

The vehicle gave me the freedom to explore some of the most remote and spectacular corners of both Georgia and Armenia. From mountain monasteries surrounded by 5,000-meter peaks to desert landscapes, remote villages, forgotten Soviet roads, and wild camping spots under the stars, this Land Cruiser took me everywhere safely and comfortably. Many of these places would have been simply impossible to reach with a regular vehicle.

The best to rent a car from in Georgia. We rented a Jeep Cherokee for very cheap and fantastic condition. We got snowed in while in Kazbegi so had to leave the car behind and take cable car over the mountain. GSS didn’t have an issue with collecting it for a small fee. Had the best service from all of the team. They dropped off the car at midnight and came and collected the small fee themselves from our hotel for the Kazbegi trip. Do not go with the big international companies - go with GSS.

The vehicle that was delivered, although not new, was in excellent condition, clean and comfortable. The payment and advance payment issues were also fair.
