Awful customer service

Awful customer service. Probably the worst I have ever experienced. Like others who have left reviews, I have been having significant difficulties booking my experience. Customer service have provided no assistance. They respond to emails not having read them. Very frustrating. Would avoid this company at all costs.

Afternoon Tea

We booked an afternoon tea on sunborn super yacht as a birthday treat through guesswhatidid. The book process was not easy, emails back and forth but we got the date we wanted.
3 weeks before the date we received a email cancelling it as the restaurant had be rebooked out to an 'elite' event. I was disappointed and angry. Basically we had been cancelled for a more lucrative booking. More emails back and forth as we had committed our dog to daycare which was non refundable so we're out of pocket. Really they didn't care and just copied and pasted the terms and conditions to me which didn't apply I thought as it was events beyond their control, they had deliberately booked it out to someone else.
After much searching we eventually found another afternoon tea somewhere else on the same day. My advice don't touch with a barge pole. Customer service appalling!, high chance of getting cancelled and they just don't care.

Failure to book experience

I've been trying since January to book my experience. They seem to act as a middle person to book the experiences and you don't do it directly. However this has meant constant delays and the voucher is expiring.

I've requested a refund as they've failed to meet their obligation as a seller...they're refusing saying I can exchange but the expiry will remain the same and if it costs more I pay the difference.

They keep trying to word is as though I've changed my mind. Awful. Avoid!

Unnecessarily complex booking mechanism

My partner and I were gifted an Afternoon Tea for 2 at a hotel as a birthday present from my mother, and the only way to book it is by emailing GuessWhatIDid with preferred dates.

I emailed mid January asking them to book it for the 18th Jan and they emailed me back two days after my requested date (20th Jan) saying it was busy (really?).

I thought the best course of action was to politely ask if we could book for the end of February or March, and now they have replied saying they’ve booked us for both.

It’s not a challenging task to book things on behalf of others, but this company make it seem impossible. It would be so much better if I could just make the bookings directly with the hotel myself!
