I need help dealing with an account issue. I've reached out to the support team multiple times across multiple platforms over the course of 2+ weeks. I've heard nothing back. What the heck?!

Exploitative and profit driven.
Gumroad claims it aims to "liberate" people from work, yet behaves like a dictator, making damaging decisions without consultation.

Ever since they announced they are changing their charge fee, this site became shitty with their service. Not only is 10% big enough of a cut, they have additional deductions after the fact. Then they nuked my account for violating their ToS, whatever that means. Now they are holding my sales for almost 2 months without explanation. I have been a seller in that site for 2 years and they wasted that fruitful relationship. Dont buy or sell in this site anymore. It is a shitty site now.

Horrible company, constantly changing conditions, when changing the payment method they take away the entire account balance, opaque content rules. Blocking payments and stores without explanation.

Scam... They want you to purchase something and you get a very cheap overview which they created with Chat GPT.

Scam! If you are a seller, avoid this platform. It deleted my account after I had some money in it. They have no support or ticket system! I can't access my account, and all my money is lost.

I could give negative stars if I could.
As a seller I'm writing this. This service is terrible. I had some products to download and suddenly they have deleted the downloadable content and users won't get anything when they paid. I wasn't informed until a buyer sent me a direct email.
Utterly poor platform technically and of customer service. Avoid if you're a buyer or a seller.

Scam, I suggest avoiding this marketplace. They have a fake 'refund' policy where you have to contact the product seller via email and beg them for a refund.

There is no customer support, no ticket system, nothing. You are on your own.

A seller attempted to fraud me and only surrendered the refund after threats of taking legal action.

Avoid at all costs, as a customer you are not protected, despite what the website would suggest.

Scammers. They don't ever respond to their emails and messages. Hiding like rats. Don't ever use them. You will regret it 100%

On their website Gumroad advertise a 10% fee flat, but once I looked into it, I saw that the real price is 10%fee + 50 cents Gumroad fee + 2.9% + 30 cents card fee - not only is this system designed to be confusing, by setting up the calculation like this, it is also really misleading! I read user reviews that stated that even the payouts after these transactions might be further deduced.

Sorry I waisted so much time setting up my profile before I discovered this.

I will say the only positive is the helpful AI service that can answer questions during the set up.

Very bad, I do not recommend buying from it, nor do I recommend selling from it. It does not even support withdrawing money via PayPal.

This site is a joke. We were going to use it for our business, but then when we found out they have AI as support, and no actual humans to handle questions... that was a direct indication that this was NOT the platform for us. I'm not going to be brining in thousands of dollars a month, and talking to a bot when there is a problem. If you can't take the time to provide your own users with support, why would I trust you with our payments?

I had a terrible experience with Gumroad. On the 11th, I purchased a product that came with a 30-day money-back guarantee. From the very first day, the product proved to be buggy and unusable. I immediately reached out to support for a refund, but it has now been over several days, and there is still no resolution.

Their chatbot is utterly useless, providing only generic, scripted responses with no real support. It’s incredibly frustrating to see such a lack of accountability from a platform that claims to offer secure and reliable services.

This experience has made me feel like Gumroad is more focused on looting customers' money through fake promises rather than delivering quality products or honoring their guarantees. I do not recommend using their services.

I have sent GUMROAD Not 1 but 3 government ID's My old Australian Passport. My drivers licence in the Philippines where I now live. And my Permanent Residence Visa Card or ACR card as it's called in the Philippines as proof of who I am to get paid to my VERIFIED bank account which you need to be who you are to get a bank account in the Philippines, but they keep on asking for more and more ID's with no explaination. I feel I have been scammed for ID's to be sold to American criminals to make fake passports and they also want to keep my intellectual property for free now, but I sell the same stuff on KO-FI and PAYHIP. So like a lot of American Businesses, they are always a problem. So instead of wasting anymore time. I will just come here and do a review and send it to them, as proof on this site where I am also VERIFIED to send them a review of themselves.

I was a content creator on Gumroad and everything was great at the begining. I got the money every week no problem. eventualy, I notice some of my content fas unpublished. I try to find out the reason why and the bot keep telling me my content was violating their rules. I didn't understand. I make photoshoot story and 3D art. there's no sex or nudity in my content. I checkmark my content as Adult to try avoid trouble in the future. yesterday I publish a new story who use the word ''Cosplay'' apparently it's considered as ''Adult word'' i had to remove that from the title. i publish the story and later that day my account was permanantly banned. They don't explain what part is a problem or anything. you don't know where the problem is and can't try to fix it since... well you don't know what is wrong. I use Latex for my content as my villainess are dress in evil dark outfit. there's absolutely nothing in my outfit who would be inapropriate for a kid to see. seriously I enjoy at the begining their design, it was easy to follow the sell and the money i was making, but ion the end it turn to shit. I have to rebuild 2 year of content I post there somewhere else. Stay away from Gumroad an is AI bot.

Gumroad is a complete scam. They suspend accounts without valid reasons, make false accusations (e.g., claiming I sell adult content when I only sell food recipe eBooks), and worst of all, they refuse to release my hard-earned money.

Their support is a joke. The AI bot tells you your payout has been processed, but it’s all lies. I’ve been waiting over a month for a withdrawal of my balance, and nothing has been done. No human agent responds, and their excuses are endless.

If you value your time, money, and sanity, stay away from Gumroad. They are dishonest, have high fees, and clearly do not care about their users. This platform is a nightmare for creators.

Don’t fall for their scam! Avoid at all costs!

Fees for creators way too high, bad UI, horrible customer service. DO NOT USE.
