I am a digital product seller and I sell items with full resale rights (PLR/MRR). Gumroad suddenly suspended my account without sending me any email or warning. I had over $250 in my balance, and until now I haven’t received my payout.

I sent more than 10 emails to their support team but received no reply at all. This is unacceptable and very unprofessional.

I’ve invested money in paid ads and spent a lot of time building my store and promoting my products, and now everything is gone with no explanation and no support.

I am simply asking Gumroad to send me my money. I don’t understand how a platform can block a user and keep their earnings without communication.

Please resolve this issue and send me my pending funds.

Purchased a book from Depths manifestation.gumroad.com. Had no idea about the company needless to say my book has not arrived.
I have emailed 3 times with no response. Mid April was my purchase....I'm guessing it won't arrive... never use this rip off company

Gumroad suddenly suspended my account without any valid explanation, despite me following all guidelines. I spent months building back-links and driving traffic from my website to my Gumroad store — all wasted. Their only response was a vague message blaming “banking partners” and suggesting I “look into an alternate marketplace.” Completely unprofessional and disrespectful to creators. If you value your time and work, I strongly recommend staying away from Gumroad.

I NEVER subscribed to ANY of their advertisers... AND I get buried in their spammy emails.
I tried to unsubscribe, but they keep dropping my into MORE advertisers that I DID NOT suscribe to.
I emailed support at Gumroad, but kept etting the run around by their AI bot.
THis company should be fined big time for their spammy invasive and unethical practices!!!

I had a very disappointing experience with Gumroad that I feel obligated to share. After making legitimate sales on their platform, my account was suddenly suspended — without any warning or prior communication. Their reason? That I was selling products I didn’t create, despite the fact I had legal resell rights and followed their guidelines as best I could.

What’s worse is that Gumroad initially told me they would pay me in 14 days for the sales I had already made. But instead, they refunded all of my customers and kept the platform closed to me. When I asked why they broke their own promise, I was met with sarcasm and unprofessional responses. They even told me to “ask my customers for the money.” Seriously?

To be clear, I did not receive a single cent of my $78.49 balance — even though Gumroad clearly said they would pay it out. They claimed to have refunded buyers completely, which I cannot verify. Whether or not they profited, the bottom line is this: they made a written promise, then did the opposite.

I have purchased sever item via HumbleBundle, I took me 3 days to download the content , and feel like an extortion site ,

This company is scam operation in disguise, apart from the unclear fees, that can go to over 20% in some cases, for no added value, they closed our account based on presumption and refusing to release our funds.

Guess what Gumroad, I am suing you,a and I will get my money from you.

No ones answering from their support. They keep sending me a canned response about a rejection for verification when I keep uploading the correct documents. This company is a joke ran by morons. Do not bother buying or selling on this platform. I hope the person responsible for this issue gets cancer.

Don't think of using their platform. I had a pretty bad experience with them compared to BMC and Patreon.

Purchased an ebook off the book of wisdom, got stiffed and no reply. Lesson learned...buyer beware

I used Gumroad to process credit card payments for my service, and the experience has been nothing short of a warning to others.

After running five transactions, I realized I was receiving about 37% less than what my clients were paying. That’s not a minor fee—that’s nearly $1,000 in lost revenue.

Yes, they mention there are fees. But what they don’t do is explain the full picture clearly. Between Gumroad Discover fees, standard platform fees, payment processor cuts, and possibly currency or location-related deductions, the actual amount taken out is nowhere near transparent.

Calling it “fees” doesn’t change the fact that it feels like theft when you're not told what’s being deducted until it’s too late.

I strongly advise other creators to read the fine print, do the math, and look elsewhere if you care about keeping the money you’ve earned.

This company is a joke. I purchased a religious/faith product and never received it. I didn't get any confirmation email or indication in my gmail account. I logged onto the site but the product thumbnail was there but the product wasn't available to download. They AI answer machine said I must have entered my email wrong. I found my email in the site profile and there. They asked for information that I never received upon my purchase. DON'T PURCHASE FROM THIS WEBSITE

I purchased 2 albums. One is apparently being censored by them even though they allow it to be listed. When I checked out with Paypal it told me on the final checkout screen that there was an issue with one of the purchases and my card was not charged. My card was charged for both purchases. However, Gumroad only e-mailed me one. Very very shady. I reached out to customer support. They have an AI that told me someone would contact me, but nobody contacted me. This fraudulent business should be shut down.

everybody says its a scam blah blah blah, i bought my piano sheet + MIDI with no problems or anything, its about the buyer who ripps you off not the site, dont start bombing it with 1 star reviews just cause you bought some sketchy shit

STAY AWAY. They will steal your money. GUMROAD has bad reviews for a reason. This company and it's Stripe partner have a reputation of suspended your account when payments/money are due to you. THIS IS THEFT

Bad service, even my files were lost at a fairly expensive price, regret registering on this site, and selling here, immediately delete the account, gumroad, the worst digital site

I went into using this site since i heard it was being used by big names in the art and animation industry, they were selling their courses and ebooks here, but as soon as i started selling my stuff, they randomly stopped sending me my payment on the payout date? with no email mentioning this to me? no notice?

i had been getting paid and was doing well with my ebook on art, people were buying it, i was getting traffic, the analytics were working and were good, and all of a sudden, after a few weeks, bam, it just skipped payout dates to a future one, where is my money Gumroad? why didn't you notify me of anything? i asked your AI bot to explain this, but it's useless! i felt so betrayed and frustrated because that was my hard earned money, i put gumroad's links on all my marketing materials, please, be cautious when using this site, use a more trusted site like Amazon who speaks to their customers when issues arise, you may feel trapped when using this site if the payments just stop coming one day and there is no explanation as to why.

As a small indie artist i am heart broken, the industry is already so harsh to us artists, and now the big platforms like these take advantage of us too, please fellow creators, be wary!

Was just looking for some free downloadable contents (soundfonts, kontakt libs, wav) and found this 'website'...
ALL IS done ONLY to TAKE YOUR MONEY.
Fake kind of "account", no usable browsering when iddling, all is bringing to a ''pay page or give maximum personnal infos cause it's you the product".

anyway, lot of immoral and usual fake lessons of life and others kind of gurus here are the common found of this scamming website.

do not consider seriously any kind of reading from a 'staff member' or a 'pseudo-seller'.

The customer representative named Steve on Gumroad is extremely rude, unethical, and unprofessional.

My account has been suspended, and I was told that my sales would be refunded, but I don't trust them. I don't have the option to issue refunds myself; otherwise, I would have done it. I don’t want to ruin my brand’s image in front of my customers.

However, Steve is just making excuses, saying that he won’t provide a screenshot but will process the refund.

I ordered a Yamaha patch from Roshans Aivers, took my $42.94 and did not send me anything. I emailed that person 2 weeks after and email not valid. I emailed Gumroad and after a week going back and forth they final said "escalated to a human". Its been over a month and nothing. Gumroad is letting their clients rip people off.
