Be warned if you do need to make a claim they will do everything to not pay you.mine was only a small claim for mosquito treatment on my hols,they make you wait dont reply to emails then requested years of my medical history bank statements ..after 3 months only to be told i didnt declare i was on some repeat meds yet it had nothing to do with mosquito bites!? They also said my policy theres a £150 excess to pay.The whole claim wasnt worth it,was only claiming £230 to begin with! Then it was refused.they are scamming people,they hope u will give up in the end and dont pursue it,3 mths i waited and still they denied my claim.awful company please research before thinking about using these,they really are the worst insurers ive ever come across,very dissapointing to say the least especially as i was very ill after returning from my holiday it was a comfort to think my travel insurance was in place and seeing the doctor in spain i would be covered.well no i wasnt covered at all!

Think this mob have been shut down ! not surprised.

The process was so slow and unreactive, this eventually caused the seller to withdraw from the transaction. The whole process cost me £3k with zero to show for it. Avoid at all costs.

One star isn’t low enough. Where do I begin with this circus. The stress they have put my family through is unbelievable. This all started the end of March and we are still no closer to the end of our conveyancing process. The amount of push backs we’ve had is honestly ridiculous. I am homeless with my husband and daughter and we are having to sofa surf just to be able to have a roof over our heads until this monstrous process ends. I’m sure David gets a kick out of knowing people are suffering because of him. I have worked with many solicitors throughout the years and this isn’t my first mortgage and to say this is the worst experience of my life is a nice way of putting it. David has had responses from the council which he will not accept, he has made me insure a house I don’t even live in, which is unheard of. I have reached out to three separate firms to seek advice on taking matters further and will be doing so once this so called professional is finished monkeying around. To the directors of GW Law I understand you have businesses you need to please and guidelines you need to follow however when you have employees such as David who is making peoples lives harder than what they already are and pushing people towards suicide I think you need to take a long hard look at who you have working for you as they seem to have no duty of care regardless of who you’re acting on behalf of. I’m simply appalled and plead with people to avoid this company at all costs.

The worst experience I have ever had for conveyancing they have caused me so much stress.Due to how long this has now taken , I am now homeless !!
I have had to let the sell of my home go though before my purchase was complete.
This was due to how long my purchase was taking, the people buying from me were going to pull out !!!
I had no choice but to let my sell go through before my purchase was complete.
At the time I thought it should only take 1 or 2 more weeks, but David just continues to cause problems and I have no end in sight.
David has even made me start the insurance on the home I’m buying already !!!

yes once you exchange, I know you have to insure the home you are buying,but to make someone insure a home before you even exchanged is ridiculous.
GW have absolutely no empathy for the situation they have caused me .
David has caused nothing but problems for my purchase of a property.
Please stay well clear of using this solicitor.
I have made complaints asked to be called back to discuss how I have been treated, but never do I get a call back .
At the moment David has taken everything out of myself and family.
I think he enjoys knowing how upset I am and then just decided to cause more issues for myself and family
I am now a breaking point
When I am finally on my feet and mentally strong enough . I will be taken this matter to the right people for advice on how I’ve been treated.

The worst conveyancing experience I have ever had in over 30 years of buying houses. Glacially slow and make you feel that they are doing you a big favour by taking on your account.

nearly tanked the whole deal by not responding to any phone calls and emails from the other solicitors.

Avoid at all cost.

Yes another one star rating for this snail speed legal firm. Never had any problems when they were called Goldsmith Williams...Now they are obviously ( in my opinion ) trying to escape their past for some reason by rebranding.
They failed to do in two months what our new solicitors did in 40 minutes while we drove to their offices.
I think this firm employs school leavers who just send out emails then sit and wait for a reply.....no matter how long that might be, instead of being proactive.

Terrible. Missed completion, put someone else’s notes on to my file !!! Asked for phone calls to be listened to & case to be investigated. Still waiting. AVOID. Plenty more competent solicitors to give your money to.

Can use advise why you've allowed my uncle to continue to put blocks on probate for his demands? This is surly not lawful to abuse his position for his petty demands? 300 an hour and he rants about a spoon and you don't end the call? And now he wants you to be paid 30k to manage the estate instead of them? Why? He's wasting that 💰 and didn't even see my nan! He didn't visit once in the nursing home? My teeth are rotting and ill get nothing now because you both want more money? I'm taking steps to see if I can literally report you!

This company is a joke, I honestly do not know how they have the license to practise.
Do not expect any calls or updates from them, they never return calls or emails.

Non fault car accident almost 3 years ago, excuses for everything, no communication, no answer phone calls, no email replay, MRI scan with technicians over 2mth no respond. I would not recommend

The best conveyancing experience. The service was efficient, clear from the outset and personal. All correspondence was dealt with immediately and I was kept totally up to date with progress. My solicitor, Tara and her team were exemplary of their professionalism, conduct and communication. She explained everything clearly in layman's terms and never refused my calls, answering in a calm, friendly and reassuring manner. I cannot praise her enough!

Absolutely unbelievable service. I cant thank Elaine and her team at GW Legal enough. I had 2 remortgage offers running out and we managed to get it completed in approximately 13 working days and make the deadline by 2 days and im now clear of my bridging loans.

As expected, on instruction, Elaine said she couldn't promise to definitely make the deadline and obviously that's par for the course with any mortgage/remortgage but I still appreciated the immediate transparency.

Elaine gave constant updates via email, chased things and did everything within her powers to complete. We would have likely completed in 10 working days if the lease information had been replied to sooner from the developer.

Elaine, thank you very much and I will definitely use you in the future.

Deserve zero stars. The Conveyancing and Remortgage Team are slow and act as if they don't care.

Used GW when they were Goldsmith Williams, and called today with a view to giving them some repeat commercial business. Had a dismal experience, and was also surprised they only keep records for six years. After a wait for the relevant team the call was handled by an operator, was told the team were on other calls and I'd be put through to voicemail; the voicemail box said it was full, couldn't accept new messages and was cut off. Called back and picked option 9 to reach an operator, but that just looped back in their unpleasant IVR. Did the other advertised option of holding, hoping to reach an operator to leave a message, and the line disconnected. Back in 2010 I don't recall issues, but based on this would not recommend them now.

Have just completed house sale and would like to thank Tara and the team for all their assistance and professionalism. Queries were dealt with promptly and I was kept informed throughout.

I’ve used GW legal for my last 2 remortgage and their service is absolutely amazing! Very easy to work with and good value and the ladies who helped us (Elaine and Helen from RemortgageTeam1) we’re fantastic! Their patience through the entire process was much appreciated and I’d use them again!!
