Old Gwernyfed is our 16th century home which includes 200 acres of woodland. Gwernyfed Wood is sourced solely from this woodland, we harvest the wood under our sustainable woodland management scheme, transport it to our yard only 1 mile away, where it is processed into a variety of different firewood products and then kiln dried in our own biomass kiln to a moisture content of under 20%. Kiln dried wood burns cleaner and hotter, and for longer, so with Gwernyfed Wood you can be assured of the highest quality product.

Great value on wood chips, very good customer service
Ordered 3 15 ltr bags of wood chips as we are experimenting with smoking on our gas grill. Best value over buying those little bags you get in the stores! What I have will last a while but we will definitely order again. Quick delivery too. We also loved the delivery bag it was delivered in, better than a box, we will be recycling the bag for using in my husband’s workshop.

Great Wood Chip supplier
We have been looking for a reliable supplier of wood chips for our Masterbuilt smoker and have tried a couple of other suppliers.
We have been playing around with the various woods to find the best flavour for us as we mainly smoke pork and chicken so we are looking for a lighter smoke.
This is the second time we have used Gwernyfed Wood and we are impressed, the deliveries are swift, virtually next day and the quality of the chips and the wood range is excellent. Also the price point is perfect!
