Poorly packaged but replacement offered

Delivery was quick but I was disappointed with how my purchase was packaged. It was a £99 bike light and was just in a plastic envelope with no bubble wrap or inner protective covering. It is a Xmas present so I am hoping it is not damaged as won't find out until after 25th Dec.

* Had an email from Rebecca at the company today offering to send a replacement light. It's really reassuring to know that they take issues aised seriously and try to resolve them - that's all people want. Well done H2 Gear.

Terrible aftersales care £3500 on a bike to be told it needs a service after 6 weeks and i am liable to pay for it

We recommend that a 'six week' service is carried out on all bikes that we supply. This is in common with the majority of bike shops as cable operated components will often require retensioning after the first few rides. Six weeks is quoted as the median timescale for this service as some bikes will require this tune up sooner or later dependent on use. Most bike shops offer this service free of charge if the bike is returned to them for the work to be carried out, including ourselves. As we send bikes sold through our website throughout the UK and in some cases overseas we recognise that not everyone will be able to return to us for the service to be carried out, but we do recommend that a six week service is still carried out via a local Giant dealer or competent local bike shop. We recommend this irrespective of the purchase price of the bike to ensure that the bike is in working order. While many bike shops are busy due to the current Covid-19 situation the cost of getting the work carried out is not prohibitive (generally around £30) and in our opinion is a worthwhile investment to guarantee the bike performs as expected. We appreciate that not all customers are aware that Giant brand stores are run independently as are the shops within the wider Giant dealer network. As such, this means there are no reciprocal arrangements in place between most stores for workshop jobs to be carried out free of charge on bikes that have been purchased elsewhere or in this case online.

The response time was impeccable

The response time and quick organisation to get my sons new bike out to me from H2 was fantastic within a couple of hours they’d already sorted delivery and had it ready to be shipped!
The only downside was the delivery company who came a day late so I had to put the bike together late at night ready for his birthday which was slightly frustrating as had lots of other jobs to do!

Excellent service

Excellent service, really impressed. Phoned to check size details of a MTB stem, and got the confirmation I needed from Rebecca. Then ordered in the afternoon and it was dispatched that day and arrived the following day :-).

Couldn't have been better

Couldn't have been better. Ordered new bike Monday it arrived Friday. Rebecca was very helpful. As warned I have to do a few things to it before it can be ridden. Although there are very few instructions the guys in the workshop have helped me figure things out and I may have to get their assistance again. Any way, to this point I'm a very happy customer.

The bike is an opened box or returned

The bike is an opened box, possibly a return or a floor model. Bike frame was rewrapped with paper or foam by masking tape to make it look new, some small parts were mixed up in opened plastic bags, and the box of the bike was tapped back to hold it together. If I was around during delivery I might have rejected it. So far nothing on the bike seems wrong but I am not entirely sure if no small parts in those opened bags are missing.

All of our online bike sales go through the workshop before shipping, this means that we unbox and set them up before rewrapping the frame and reboxing. We do this so that the bike arrives with the customer with the gears and brakes setup.
