Reliable, Professional, and Consistently Helpful.

I have been dealing with Hadfields Transport for six years and have always found them to be reliable, professional, and consistently helpful.
Aarron has excellent customer service skills and responds quickly to any requests, as does Claire. Their dedication and efficiency makes working with them a pleasure. I highly recommend using this company.

We’ve been using Hadfields for many years, and their service has always been exceptional. The office staff are consistently helpful and a pleasure to deal with. Aarron often manages our account, and he’s fantastic—always accommodating our requests and handling even the trickier deliveries wherever possible. Their drivers have also visited our warehouse to collect cabinets, and they’ve always been friendly, professional, and reliable. Highly recommended.

Great at delivering

I’ve used these guys a few times in the past. They are great, they give me plenty of notice of when they will be delivering. They have helped me with my delivery which is very handy as they have delivered heavy pinball machines.
I would recommend, only thing to note they trucks they use are pretty big so if you have a small access road it could be an issue.

Helpful, reactive and friendly.

I have used Hadfields for the last 24 years, and have always had a great working relationship with them. The nature of the business means there are often last minute bookings, or changes to bookings and Hadfields have always been extremely accommodating and will go out of their way to make sure deliveries happen as and when required. They have helped to get me out of many a delivery pickle! They come into their own at exhibition times, and can not be beaten when it comes to the drivers being helpful, they will often go over and above what is expected of them. Transport is a difficult sector, often gets criticised, and is hugely underrated. I’m thankful I have a transport company I can trust and rely on.

Top-Notch Delivery of Our Commercial Refrigerator

Complex delivery - Perfectly executed

We had a delivery that needed a lot of planning - out of hours, 3 man delivery, unpack & position, RAMS needed etc etc.
Aarron and his team were amazing ! They kept me informed during the whole process. I was given a contact number for an early morning call, just in case there were any last minute changes - luckily I did not need to call. Everything went so smoothly and once delivery was completed, I received POD's.
I cannot thank them enough for their input - absolutely brilliant service.

“Rookie Fumble: The Inexperienced Delivery Debacle

I ordered a double door freezer to be delivered to my business. The company organised delivery through Hadfields, the delivery arrived very late in the day. However when I looked in Their van I couldn’t help notice they didn’t have the equipment to install the freezer. They even struggled to get it through my side gate that is over 1.4meters wide not because it wouldn’t go but because they lacked any experience in moving these items. Eventually they managed to leave it outside the rear door of my property, I had paid to have it positioned & installed however it meant lying it on its side to get it through the door & they didn’t have the experience or equipment to manage. I eventually managed to do it myself with the help of a friend using a couple of bread tray wheel carriages. I was very disappointed that no effort was made to assist me and to be honest I don’t think it would have gone well if they had. I couldn’t recommend this company.

I apologise you feel this way, but as I explained on the phone, we as a company are under strict remit from our customer, not to place refrigerated units on their side. This was a large upright freezer weighing in excess of 180 kilos, the vehicle was fully equipped for the product it was carrying for the goods selected for the day.

We as a company invest heavily in the correct equipment and vehicles to suit the product type we specialise in delivering. All crews are fully trained and experienced and on this occasion, following my investigation, I am confident the crew made the correct decision on the day not to place the unit on its side.

I apologise you are left with a unit that has sustained some damage due to you using your own bread trollies to get the cabinet into site.

We do not go out of our way to leave customers upset, quite the opposite. I have tried to offer some form of compensation by reimbursing you for the unpack charge, which you declined.

Once again, I genuinely apologise you feel this way.

Stick to the facts

These are just the facts, no opinion or emotion. Make of them that you will.

Hadfields delivered a fridge for us on behalf of Fridge Freezer Direct (FFD). We have a fairly large site with a long and wide driveway. In the six years I have been here we have completed two major construction projects and never in all that time had difficulty with any vehicle of any size accessing the site or refusing to deliver. We installed the driveway specifically to accommodate larger vehicles. However, Hadfields refused to deliver to our property when only a few hundred meters away. The driver also refused to walk along the road to see the remaining access.

We went back to FFD and they said the fridge had gone back to Manchester and would have to be re-delivered using a Sprinter at a cost of £600. FFD were very clear to point out that this is what Hadfields charged for redelivery and that FFD didn’t make any money on this transaction.

When the fridge was re-delivered it was in a high-sided Dhollandia truck (much like a 7.5t Luton) with tail lift and not a sprinter, which they said they needed for re-delivery. The drivers also told me they collected the fridge from London and not Manchester.

I wanted to double check the price with Hadfields so I called and they refused to give me a price for delivery and referred me back to FFD.

We are a charity and rely soley on donations for all our cash flow and I informed Hadfields and FFD about this but it didn’t make any difference and we were still charged £600.

Apologies, we have left you feeling this way. On or first attempt to make the delivery, we simply could not have taken the risk of damaging the vehicle and we have to stand by the crews decision, on the day.

Following on from our conversation and reassurances that we did indeed return with a 3.5 Ton Luton Transit, I did explain that based on the product types we deliver, our Luton transits are not comparative to a typical transit van, to which you accepted was a mistake on your part.

At the time of being questioned on what charges had been applied, we were not in a position to comment on what you had been charged, as our contract lay with our customer and not the company that you purchased the fridge from.

Hopefully you received our donation of £150.00, as a token gesture for any upset that may have been caused.

Once again, we apologise you were left, less than satisfied.

EXCELLENT SERVICE!!

I have to say that yesterday I had 5 large fridges and freezers delivered to 3 separate sites and the delivery drivers from HADFIELDS were AMAZING!!! I had the pleasure of speaking to Jordan throughout the day while he was taking care of my deliveries across multiple sites without me being at any of them, and he made my life easy! Jordan and Billy delivered the large items without any issue and made sure to go above and beyond when faced with adversity (entrance door to small, carpet in the way, ceiling to low to lift the equipment up) and they managed to get past these issues EXCELLENTLY without causing any damage to either the items they were delivering or the client site they were delivering to. They were genuinely exceptional!

Extra shout out to Jordan who was keeping in contact with me throughout the day and throughout the delivery to ensure that I knew exactly what they were doing to ensure a safe delivery.

I would HIGHLY recommend HADFIELDS to anyone who needs something delivered on time, professionally and without causing any drama!

Awful driver

We had the misfortune to be on the M25 with one of this companies vans. We were in traffic and he just pulled out in front of us and nearly hit us . He was stopping lanes non stop still just cutting people up you can see how accidents happen with dangerous drivers like this on the road.

A credit to the company I had Billy and Jordan turn up today to drop and collect a broken freezer there attitude was second to none we came across a few issues due to the size of the new freezer but we made a plan and we done well done boys and thank you.

Disorganised and lazy

Despite being given size of freezer to be removed, they turned up with too small a lorry. Then they said they didn't have the correct equipment to move the units. I paid 80 pounds for removal and never received a refund so have to pay someone else who is willing to do the job.

Arrangements for the delivery were made and whilst there was an initial error made with the vehicle size during delivery, this was quickly rectified by arranging a second vehicle to attend your store later that same day to collect your old freezer to minimise any inconvenience to you.

However, it became apparent when our crew attended site, that a stainless steel multideck was obstructing the access route for the safe delivery and removal. This information on access was not disclosed when you placed your order with our cusomter or when the booking in call was made to you by our customer services team. Unfortunately we are unable to move additional cabinets to clear the access route and are not insured to do this. Moving and emptying units that are blocking the access route is the customer’s responsibility and had this have been done we would have been able to successfully execute the delivery/collection.

Once again, we apologise we have left you less than satisfied.
