I purchased this food Hagan gourmet parrot mix after consuming this product. My bird became very ill. I had to take him to a vet and get an antibiotic at first I thought it was unrelated, but when he began to eat the food again, he became very sick with the same symptoms no longer does the food come with dried fruit like at once did there was a recall in 2024 and salmonella was detected in the food . I will no longer be feeding this food if I continue to do so he will die. He’s a rose crown Conure who’s 17 years old and prior to eating this batch his health was excellent. It was only after I took him off the food that his health improved. We threw it out. We won’t even feed it to wild animals. I’ll be reporting it to PetSmart and I expect my money back to all you bird lovers. I suggest you do not feed them this food make your own there’s many foods you can make you can check with AI. It’ll give you a list of foods that you can select and create yourself, which is much healthier if you love your pet do not feed him this food. It is dangerous and unhealthy. They quality control is poor and the company should be shut down if they can adhere to a strict quality control program, which is clear to me they are not at the present time.
