Any chance of updating details this time

After a failed delivery last week the delivery driver today did not want to hand over medication.Despite last week being assured by Katie details were updated the driver was unaware of name change.
I am not impressed or reassured despite now emailing the details to hah.

what to expect when there's a delivery fail.

I have recently had a delivery fail, which isn.t the first time. Each time its very stressful to get to talk to someone, you may get an apology but that's all and it's not good enough. The worse possible thing is the lies that your told when you ask for an explanation and the continuous sign posting of the problem ,
promising that somebody else will be Intouch to sort it out We all know mistakes can happen but this company cannot get it right. complaints do not go to management.
the medicine i should have received could be life saving as its for blood clotting and stroke prevention.
i was told it had been delivered yet I waited in all morning! .
Lastly , I Don't understand the comments made from people who have never had any issue with this delivery service, coming on to the site to read other peoples testament regarding bad experiences and then saying they can't understand those people.

I was having cancer treatment privately…

I was having cancer treatment privately at hospital when my insurer suggested HAH. As the journey to the hospital was a four hour round trip I decided to have treatment at home.
The nurses are fabulous. Nothing but praise for the Nurses. Behind the scenes however is a different matter.
I’ve had half my cancer treatment turn up. Sometimes treatment is taking 3 days to complete. Not receiving texts or calls to let me know what time a nurse is coming. Today I was supposed to have treatment at 10:00. Only found out because I had to call HAH at 745am as I hadn’t heard anything. Nurse then rings at 09:45 to say the delivery driver didn’t drop half my cancer drugs off. Hoping to get to me this afternoon with all my drugs but have to wait and see.
I’m considering going back to the private hospital because bloods and treatment are all on one day. Three days of home visits gets too much.
HAH charge AXA a hefty amount so they will lose a lot of money if I go back to hospital.

A systems change at HAH has changed the contact phone number for me on their system so I did not receive their calls to arrange a new delivery. So they closed the account despite my daughter being on same/similar medication for five years. Now have to go back to the hospital to reestablish the medication and reopen the account. A simple call to my mobile and all this would have been avoided. Even having spoken to them at length to explain this has got me nowhere. Computer says no, so red tape kicks in. Hopeless.

Yet again medication delivery not…

Yet again medication delivery not arrived as promised. Delivery originally booked for 30th April but as no confirmation received I checked with online chat on 29th April to be told that delivery had been cancelled but HAH had not bothered to advise me! I then booked delivery again for 5th May and again had no confirmation so contacted online chat to be told that the delivery was not booked in for 5th May at all as they didn’t have a prescription from hospital. Checked with hospital and prescription was sent to HAH on 19th April. Phoned HAH and have been informed that prescription has been received so someone at HAH is giving out incorrect and untrue information which is incredibly stressful for the patient who already suffers from PTSD and anxiety. In addition to running out of life saving medication. This service is totally unacceptable but HAH do not seem to care! This has happened to us in the past and HAH do not seem to rectify their mistakes and legal action may be the only way they will listen!

Stressed stressed stressed !!!

Since HaH has taken over the delivery of my meds the past two years it has been a struggle to receive my meds. HaH call make arrangements then I receive a text with wrong time I phone sort out then receive another text with different time I call sort out then receive a call from HaH saying no van will be out that evening for delivery. HaH then ask if can delivery to a different address or another time when for two years you have said no they still ask. I have been reduced to tears by this company !
Will I receive my meds ?????
So disappointing that a company treats patients this way, that live their daily life in pain and should not occur added stress which causes their medical conditions to flare up.

If I could give zero stars, I would. Ruining my life.

If I could give zero stars I would. I have rheumatoid arthritis and unfortunately my methotrexate wasn’t working, so I got prescribed Cimzia and referred to Healthcare @ Home to deliver the prescription, and have a nurse come out to administer the first injection, monitor for any reactions and teach self administration.

The injections were delivered as stated, and are sat nicely in my fridge. That’s where the positively ends. I was booked to receive a nurse visit on Wednesday 23rd March, and was told to expect a call on the Tuesday 22nd to confirm time etc. Fine, all sounds good. Tuesday 22nd at 6.30pm I get a phone call from them saying unfortunately they won’t get to me on Wednesday due to lack of slots, fine, these things happen I work in healthcare, I know how it works. Appointment rebooked for Wednesday 30th and I was told I would be top of the list for Wednesday as it’s a reschedule. Fine!

Tuesday 29th, 6.35pm - phone call received, “sorry, because it’s a short week due to Easter, and the lack of nurses trained on Cimzia, we aren’t going to get round to you this Wednesday either. Okay, now I’m getting a bit annoyed as I am now 3 weeks with out any anti-rheumatic drugs, my pain levels are increasing and the damage is irreversible to be joints, but okay.

Appointment rebooked for 6th April. Phone call received at 6.24pm tonight, sorry, we can’t make it out to you tomorrow and will need to rearrange until next Wednesday,

Head gone. This will be 4 weeks of me waiting for a nurse to come out, and the injections have now been sat in my fridge for 5 weeks! You stated an emergency blood transfusion as reasoning for not getting to me tomorrow. I understand that, you may not think my silly little RA is important enough to warrant a visit, but it is to me.

I ended up having no choice but to ring 111 yesterday as my pain levels were off the charts and you are delaying treatment that may affect my quality of life. I’m 30 years old and my partner is having to carry me down the stairs most morning and open the milk for me because I can’t walk or do simple tasks due to high pain levels. I will be lodging a formal complaint, I understand covid makes things harder but this is outrageous.

Sick to death with this company

Sick to death with this company. The amount of times I have been left with no medication is unreal and 100% Not acceptable. It is your pharmacist job to read and give out medication. It is my specialists job to decide that I need a medication. It’s about time the pharmacists were reined in and made aware of how dangerous to the patients their lack of knowledge is and thinking they are higher than they actually are. I’m not interested in your sorrys , I’m not interested in your excuses. There is no reason why myself or anyone else should be left with no medication that a specialist has asked you to give out !!! The problem lies with your pharmacy SORT THEM OUT. PS...surprise surprise no call back from a manager that I was promised. The company is a shambles 👎🏻

Great service. So why all the bad reviews?

I have been using HaH for a couple of years now and never had a problem.

I was amazed at the number of very bad reviews, but sense that some people are against a private company providing a service they think the NHS should provide.

So, to all the staff at HaH, I think you're doing a wonderful job. Thank you.

Cannot describe the value of this service

I have recently completed my last cycle of chemotherapy at home delivered by the wonderful East Midlands nursing team. Receiving a diagnosis of cancer is terrifying and turns your whole world upside down, but I can honestly say that having support of the wonderful team I met during treatment has helped both me and my family throughout.

From reading other reviews posted online about Healthcare at Home, I can see that things have not always run smoothly, as with any company, but the service and care I have experienced myself leaves me with no doubt in my mind that this organisation is founded on the basis of caring for patients and supporting our NHS. Even when things did go wrong, the people I spoke to resolved the issues as quickly as they could and I never felt like a bother.

As happy as I am that the chemo section of my treatment journey is over, I will genuinely miss the amazing nurses I have met and am grateful beyond words for everything they’ve done for me.

Cancelled appt , no apology.

I received a phone call last week from a kind employee of Health care at Home. The employee was to email me. I have not received an email.
This morning I had an appointment for a nurse to attend between 11 am and 1 pm.
At 10:05 today, I received a phone call from a sharp individual cancelling my appointment. No apology was given.
I am appalled that this company treats patients in such an appalling manner.

I will now submit an official complaint to the CEO.

Angry Delivery Drivers

I've been using HaH for the past 6 years, they deliver my medication twice a year. The past 2-3 times the drivers are so angry and so not bothered of delivering the products. This last one yesterday, lied to me that he called but he had the number.. And that obscene as I was expecting him and when I received a text message from him saying attempted delivery:failed I popped out in the snow and saw him driving away and stopped him. When he gave me the box, slammed his door and speeded away like a maniac...

If I could give a no star I would.

If I could give a no star I would.

I suffer with a condition and unfortunately it has gotten worse over the last few months.

Long story short my gastro nurse sent a new prescription over on the 28th of last month with the view of me taking the meds the next week as I was becoming quite ill.

It's now the 10th of Feb I was on the phone to them none stop yesterday as my medication still hadn't been accepted by them since the 28th I was promised call back to which none came back to me.

I have been signed off sick from work and all this could have been avoided had HAH done their job.

Constantly put on hold and told they have escalated the situation.

I've now been in hold again for 36 mins and seeming no resolution.

I can see myself being admitted to hospital today if this is not sorted.

If this is what privatisation of the NHS would be like I pray it never comes to this.

My health is literally put in the hands of a call centre operator.

Shocking shocking company.

Ps this is not the first time they have messed me about either its just the worst

I honestly don't understand the negative reviews or maybe I'm just blessed!!!
But having HAH delivered to my house for the past five years I've never experienced any difficulties at all,in fact the opposite they phone me to inform me when my next delivery will be and it's always on time and have never been left without medication!
They also text me with a two hour window slot which has never been outside of this. When the driver delivers I find him very friendly and courteous more than I can say about a lot of courier companies out there!
So please keep up the good work in these difficult times.
All the best.Jim.Bedford.

I find their service very good...

I've used HaH for nearly 5 years and never had an issue with my deliveries. They have delivered at home and also at work and always on time with the correct medication. The only time it didn't turn up was due to my prescription not being ready on time which they chased up for me. Friendly staff both on the phone and deliver. Not sure why so many poor reviews and can only speak as I find.

Absolute Disgrace. User BEWARE !

The Care Quality Commission appears to have suspended this companies ratings pending investigation !

The NHS use this service for some of their most clinically vulnerable patients, which is incredulous considering the dealings I have had with them recently.

I could write pages and pages of information here on my dealings with them but it would just read much the same as everyone else's. I have made many phone calls trying to arrange a nurse to administer much needed drugs. Appointments have been made, cancelled by them, re booked and then no one turning up !

My advice to anyone who is about to have dealings with this service would be to AVOID it. Unless you enjoy the stress of being let down time after time and wondering whether or not you are going to receive your life saving drugs. Save your mental health and stress levels and make alternative arrangements.

No facility to give zero stars sadly

No facility to give zero stars sadly. My meds are to be delivered 4/5 AFTER I actually need them. H@H consider it as ok to deny a patient their prescribed meds. Offered to let their pharmacist reassure me. Obviously they think their pharmacist is more qualified to prescribe than my consultant rheumatologist. Told them that I wished to make formal complaint....still waiting. Previous dealings with this company were the same.
Generic response as always from H&H!!!, but still no delivery, despite formal complaint, and rheumatology department contacting them. Also Hospital pharmacy has also raised an incident report, due to me being left without medication, and H&H knowing about it for weeks!

Healthcare at home delivery service

I have been using Hah to deliver my hospital medication for well over two years. I do not usually write reviews but after seeing some of the negative ones on here I feel it's only right that I try and redress the balance
My medication has always arrived on time on the correct day. I am always kept up to date with my delivery information and any telephone dealings I have had have been dealt with quickly and professionally. I really cannot fault this service. Well done to all concerned you have certainly made my life a little easier.
